Villa Eleagnos – A Luxurious Retreat in Andros.Amazing garden with a most impressive jasmine tree and bougainvilleas,climbing up to the upper floor!

Villa Eleagnos is an elegant private villa featuring a private swimming pool (4 m X 11 m ) and sweeping amphitheatric views of the southern Aegean Sea, overlooking the islands of Kea, Kythnos, and Gyaros. Set on a one-acre estate at an ideal altitude of 80 meters, it gazes over St. Peter’s Beach — one of Andros’ most beautiful — reachable within 15 minutes on foot (600m walk, including a 200m incline), or just a few minutes by car (suggested).

Perfectly located just a few kilometers from the port of Gavrion and the lively village of Batsi, the villa offers a rare blend of privacy, tranquility, and breathtaking scenery, while remaining close to plrenty of beaches, watersports centers, charming tavernas, supermarkets, and more.

Designed by Greek architect Mari Goga, Villa Eleagnos was envisioned to harmoniously integrate with its natural surroundings, offering generous open spaces both indoors and out. The stone elements of the house were crafted using stone excavated directly from the property itself.

The villa spans two levels. The ground floor (approximately 110 sq. meters) features a spacious living and dining area with a fireplace, original vintage furnishings, and a fully equipped kitchen — complete with amenities such as a Nespresso machine.

The upper level houses three bedrooms, each with en suite bathrooms, private balconies, and spectacular sea views. Each bedroom comfortably accommodates two guests. An additional guestroom (sleeping two) with an en suite bathroom is available at ground level for an extra charge.

Every detail of Villa Eleagnos reflects the personal care of its owners, with custom-built furnishings and pieces from their private estate.

For larger groups, a second villa (Villa Aggelikes) of almost similar specifications
( three bedrooms,not four like villa Eleagnos) nearby is also available for rent through this website.Very close to the villa are at least three exceptional beaches , Agios Petros beach ,Golden sand beach and Kipri beach, witch has surfing etc school. Very close to the villa is the traditional Giannoulis taverna, Francesco Italian restaurant, Agios Kiprianos taverna, Hot spot pizza and burger bar and a new addition to the island , the up scale Topos restaurant !

Andros is a true hidden gem, boasting over 40 stunning beaches, vibrant small picturesque villages, water sports centers, rich cultural heritage (ancient, Byzantine, and modern), exceptional gastronomy, and majestic mountains. It is also considered one of Europe’s premier hiking destinations, with over 160 kilometers of well-marked trails awaiting exploration. Hora of Andros is a gem to see,with an exceptional archeological museum and two museums of modern art!

Incredible house and such a lovely host

We spent 14 days in Marias wonderful house on the hillside with a panorama over the ocean. The house has all the amenities one could wish for and is very tastefully designed and decorated. Extra plus for other little details like the Chromecast in the TV and how the cleaning lady was incredibly thorough with both the interior and the outdoor area and pool (she came twice during our stay and also made our beds with fresh bedsheets). The house has everything you need and the pictures do not do it justice. The quality of stay was at the highest standard and the owners are very obviously well travelled and in tune of what guests with very high standards would desire. We were four adults 30-40 with one baby infant and had such a great time and the interactions with Maria were always friendly and helpful. We cannot recommend this enough. Amazing.

A piece of paradise with stunning views

We spent 10 days in Maria's wonderful villa which is very spacious, confortable and has beautiful views… We had an absolutely fantastic time discovering Andros, which surprisingly is not overwhelmingly touristic and is amazingly beautiful ! We would set off after breakfast and drive across the mountains (4 wheel drive is necessary !) and breathtaking views to reach secluded beaches which were clean, with pristine water. Sometime we stayed home and enjoyed relaxing and reading around the pool… I can't say much about the restaurants because we loved the villa so much that we preferred to eat at home. Maria told us where to buy excellent meat and fish… On the negative, the internet connexion was very poor and a problem for the teen-agers, and sometime the water pressure in the shower was not very good. But this did not spoil our vacation ! So it's 5 stars for the villa and Andros.

Merveilleux séjour dans une maison très agréable et très confortable

Des l’instant où nous avons réservé avec Maria tout s’est toujours très bien passé. Notre hôte répondait parfaitement à nos demandes et la maison était parfaite pour notre séjour entre amis . La maison est super bien équipée et très bien agencée. La situation géographique est également idéale car tout est à proximité commerces , plages , restaurants…. Je vous recommande les yeux fermés !

Très belle maison avec vue magnifique

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans la villa de Maria. La vue est magnifique et la maison très confortable. Les chambres sont très agréables avec une literie de qualité. Nous sommes venus la semaine de canicule et comme il faisait très chaud, nous étions très heureux d’avoir choisi une maison spacieuse, confortable et très soignée. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la plage juste en bas de la maison où nous avons souvent nagé au petit matin, seuls dans une mer translucide. Un vrai paradis ! Le petit port de Gavrio est très sympa contrairement à ce que disent certains guides. Il y a plein de commerces alimentaires pour acheter des produits de qualité. Nous n’avons malheureusement pas visité grand chose à cause de la canicule et de ce fait nous avons très envie de revenir à Andros. Cerise sur le gâteau, Maria est absolument adorable tout comme son mari Elias qui parle très bien français.

Relax, view, silence and flowers

The house is beautiful and well maintained, the kitchen is very well equipped and we were able to prepare really good dishes to enjoy on the terrace while the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and well furnished. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the beautiful view but also the blossoming of the gorgeous jasmine in August. Maria is welcoming and helpful and provides a good customer service, the location on the island allows you to reach beautiful beaches without crowds or travel the countless hiking trails.Our holiday was very pleasant and the island is beautiful!

Un vrai paradis

C'était notre première fois en Grèce et nous avons passé un superbe séjour de 15 jours ! Pas de foule, météo sublime et des paysages à couper le souffle. Pour ce qui est de la villa, tout le confort nécessaire est présent, piscine au top, espaces de vie très agréables et vue panoramique. Plusieurs plages magnifique accessibles à pied, petits commerces et restaurants à proximité immédiate et des grecs adorables. Bravo encore à Maria pour son accueil et la qualité des prestations offertes. Andros est une île préservée du tourisme de masse contrairement à ses voisines, et c'est ça qui est le plus bluffant...difficile de partir ailleurs après avoir vécu ça !

fantastische Villa mit tollem Meerblick

Wir können uns den positiven Bewertungen unserer Vormieter nur anschließen. Wir haben einen sehr schönen Familienurlaub in diesem wundervollen, großzügigen Haus verbracht. Die Einrichtung und Ausstattung waren noch besser als wir von den Bildern erwartet hätten. Aus nahezu allen Fenstern hat man einen überwältigenden Meerblick. Haus und Garten sind super gepflegt und sehr hochwertig eingerichtet. Wir haben uns wirklich sofort zuhause gefühlt. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin war unkompliziert und angenehm, auftretende Fragen konnten schnell und immer zu unserer Zufriedenheit geklärt werden. Wir können einen Aufenthalt hier wärmsten empfehlen!

très belle villa tout confort

Nous avons séjourné dans cette villa une semaine début août 2015 avec nos trois enfants. La maison est à flanc de colline, au dessus de la route liant deux villages de la côte ouest, avec une très belle et large vue mer (très au-dessus de la route, pas de nuisance). La baignade dans la piscine est particulièrement agréable avec cette vue. La villa est de très grand confort, tout est a été prévu: ménage soigné, climatisation, équipement de cuisine et électroménager complet et de qualité, petites terrasses ou balcons dans toutes les pièces avec très belles vues. Les chambres, à l'étage, sont particulièrement agréables, claires, spacieuses et soignées. L'accueil des propriétaires est très attentionné, avec des conseils pour de merveilleuses balades et découvertes loin de la foule. Merci beaucoup pour ce séjour, Nous recommandons vivement!

Remarkable property on a gorgeous island

This is one of the most beautiful villas and locations we have stayed in. The villa is perched half way up a mountain overlooking St Peter's Beach and Gavrio. The views are truly breathtaking with the islands of Megalo in the immediate foreground and Kea and Giaros in the distance and ferries drifting into and out of the port. Sunsets were magical. The villa itself has a fabulous infinity pool, with outdoor sun loungers, and outdoor table for dining and drinking in the views. The kitchen was well equipped and all the rooms tastefully decorated with air conditioning. The villas is in a super convenient location with the beach, four beach bars and a supermarket literally 2-3 minutes drive down the mountain, with the port at Gavrio 5 minutes drive away. There are dozens of restaurants in Gavrio and Batsi but also well worth the drive to Andros Hora. There are numerous hiking trails on Andros and No.15 is well worth doing from the villa up the valley past the 4th C BC Agios Petros tower and the beautiful sleepy village. Don't miss the drive over the mountains to Vitali beach. Andros is verdant compared to some of the other Cycladic islands with forests and springs and the scenery is beautiful. We loved our stay here. Thanks to Maria and Konstantinos for being wonderful hosts.

ANDROS OASIS!

Our first time on Andros….We booked this house for our group of friends and family to celebrate a birthday and have a 2 week vacation. The pictures do not really do the house justice…we arrived and were all so excited to see that everything was so beautifully done from the decor in the house to the bedrooms all facing amazing Ocean views…waking up there every day was truly a most wonderful experience! The pool was just perfect…The landscaping lush and full of color. The location of the house is perfectly situated between Batsi and Gavrio - we were wherever we needed to be within a few minutes drive. Lastly our hosts Maria and Kostas went above and beyond to make our stay more than perfect. If you are looking for the perfect Oasis in the Greek Isles - this will not disappoint. We had a truly wonderful vacation in Andros - We will definitely by staying here again next year.

My husband and I spent in this unique villa a memorable holiday. Andros is easy to reach and still maintains a charachter of its own : culture and leisure are perfectly combined and many hidden beaches are all around this big island. The house has a high level of comfort and an exquisite styling. The garden and houskeeping service are unobtrusive and the quiet all around is a balsam for the spirit. we felt very at home and the only regret was that we had to leave after 10 enchanting days. Villa bellissima, panorama divino

Quando la realtà supera la fantasia, l’esperienza diventa indimenticabile. E’ quello che ci è successo ad Andros, dove abbiamo avuto la fortuna di trascorrere le nostre vacanze estive. Appena arrivati sull’isola, subito accolti da una atmosfera incantevole, la curiosità di scoprire se la casa che avevamo scelto fosse davvero bella come le foto mostrate da homeaway.com, era incontenibile. La sorpresa ha superato ogni aspettativa: non solo una casa bellissima, con ampie stanze pulitissime, dotate di ogni comfort e finemente arredate, ma anche una vista mozzafiato, emozionante, godibile da ogni angolo della casa, dai balconcini delle stanze, dal patio profumato di gelsomini, rosmarino e bouganville, dalla piscina affacciata sul mare. Davanti agli occhi una infinita distesa azzurra con tre isolette incastonate come perle, sempre lì a guardarti dall’alba al tramonto. Non abbiamo potuto fare a meno di pensare di essere davvero nella ‘terra degli dei’ e che non è certo un caso se il figlio di Apollo abbia scelto quest’isola (cosi racconta la mitologia) come sua dimora. Abbiamo apprezzato tanto anche la zona dove sorge la casa: vicino al porto di Gavrio, spiagge bellissime (molte attrezzate), ristoranti deliziosi ed economici (non abbiamo mai speso più di 13euro, pur non rinunciando a nulla) pochissimi turisti stranieri. Non lontano c’e’ anche la piùt conosciuta Batsi. Abbiamo visitato il resto dell’isola e visto molti angoli di paradiso, ma sceglierei ancora Gavrio e tornerei in questa splendida casa resa ancora più accogliente dalla straordinaria cordialità dei suoi proprietari e dalla efficienza di Helias.

Andros Happy Island

We were a group of friends, and all of us were more than happy to have spent our holiday at Maria's house. The view is breathtaking, as it is the rest of the house. When we arrived Elias, the housekeeper, picked us up at the port. Our surprise once at the villa was great, as the house is even better than it looks in the pics. Eveything was brand new and clean. Rooms are big and confortable and the kitchen is fully equipped. The position is to our opinion, the best in the island. Maria and her husband were perfect hosts: they gave us a lot of support, and suggested places where to eat and beaches to go to. All informations were accurate and satisfactory. If back to Andros, I will definetely choose this place again. Thank you for the wondeful holiday!
