Elegantly furnished, located on the Waikoloa Beach Golf course with Pacific Ocean view. 2nd story unobstructed view. Walk to Waikoloa Hilton (restaurants, shops), or to 'A' Bay beach. Truly a paradise location. Rental includes access to the Halii Kai Ocean Club.
The club consists of a resort style pool, on the ocean, with views of the Pacific, whales (seasonal), and the golf course. The club also has a café and full bar with poolside service and a great selection of island fare.

This complex and condo are the perfect combination of Value and luxury. We knew we loved the property, but more than that, we knew all of our guests would be very happy with how the unit is furnished and the uniqueness of the Ocean Club. It can't be beat.
What makes this condo unique
My Wife and I have stayed in many VRBO condo's in the past. We thought most of them had at least a few clever ideas. We took everything we learned and made sure our condo had it. It is not only a rental unit for us, but more importantly, it is our first and only 'second home'.

Our stay at Hali'i Kai was everything we expected and more! The two bedroom condo was very comfortable and tastefully decorated in tropical island motif. The owner's posted description and photos were very accurate, but could never capture all the details, comfort and extra amenities without personally staying in the condo. We loved the view from the lanai and the awesome sunsets over the ocean. We also enjoyed the beautiful landscape design and manicured Beach Club Pool and Spa area with the amenities of a large gas BBQ, the convenience of the Club Bar and Grill with excellent service plus the magnificent view of the ocean. The condo was well equipped from the items in each bathroom and kitchen to the games, movies and books that were provided. Just like being at home! If we ever return to the Big Island we would without a doubt stay at the Hali'i Kai in this condo. A first class experience!

Jul 17, 2009Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii! The fragrance of plumeria drifted across our lanai as I listened to the palm trees rustled by the trade winds. This Bear adventure brought us to the Hali’i Kai neighborhood located in Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Kohala Coast. The moment we stepped inside this beautiful condo, my Bear family and friends felt the luxurious comforts of our “home away from home”. There were two full bedrooms and bathrooms (plus, extra sleeping on the pull-out sofa). The beds in this home were so comfortable, this bear wanted to sleep in most days! Each room had fans, but the cross winds kept everything at very comfortable temperatures. The kitchen was fully appointed to allow cooking a large meal, a quick snack, or just enjoying early morning coffee out on the lanai. Also, each room featured a flat screen TV for entertainment. However, with so many things to do in this incredible location, we found ourselves enjoying the outdoors most of the day. The owners provided a closet of beach towels, chairs and coolers. Simply bring your snorkel gear and head north to one of the islands greatest snorkel spots at “Hapuna Beach” for a day of boogie boarding, snorkeling and frolicking in the crystal clear water. My bear family and friends did much sightseeing during our vacation. We snorkeled at several beaches and recommend Kealakekua Bay, kayaking to Cooks Monument and the black sand beaches of Punalu’u. We drove around the Island to Hilo, explored the Volcano Park, walked through the giant lava tube, & hiked a few of the many trails. Enjoy golfing and tennis? There are 3 Waikoloa golf courses and tennis courts located right near Hali’i Kai! Plus, a wide variety of great restaurants and shops were located right in the Hali’i Kai resort area. We ventured out a few nights to sample some authentic Hawaiian cuisine. This condo combined the true elegance of Hawaiian style and convenience of modern life. It had everything we needed for the “beary” best vacation. There was so much history, culture and adventure nearby and this condo was the perfect place to start from for all we wanted to see! Home away from home
This condo was a terrific find on a number of levels. First, for those of you who may be hesitant to rent direct from the owner, those fears can be put to rest here. We vacationed for the month of February at this condo and Gord provided us exceptional customer service. He was easily accessible and a couple of requests we had were addressed the very same day. From emailing us a link to up to date weather forecasts during our stay to returning our deposit within the first week we got back, his thoughtfulness and professionalism were appreciated. The condo and complex was excellent quality, the view off the lani beautiful and the people working at the complex terrific.
Thanks Gord and Beth for contributing to what was a very special vacation for us. We shall return.
A must place to stay on the Big Island!!!
This was a first trip for our family of 3 (we have a teenage son) to the Big Island and we could not have found a more perfect place to stay. We absolutely loved the decor of the condo and found everything to be comfortable, clean and quiet. The kitchen was very well stocked and we had no problems with anything while on our vacation. We absolutely loved the view of the ocean from the lanai where we would begin our day with coffee and end our day with cocktails and the beautiful view of the sunset. We loved going to A Bay which was a quick drive and enjoyed the beach. There were all the things we needed for the beach and we took full advantage of that. My husband loved the proximity to the various golf courses and had a great time golfing on the island. All the grounds of the property were pristine and very well taken care of. This was our first experience with VRBO and Gordon made sure we were completely comfortable with the process and answered all our questions. We were there over the 4th of July and he was kind enough to email us while we were there the events happening at the Ocean Club and the surrounding area. This property is a great value for all you that get. Gordon is truly a great person to work with and can't wait to go back and stay at his property. Everyday at the end of our excursions we would "go home" and that is what it felt like was home...could not ask for a better experience on our vacation! Gordon has a gem on the Big Island and we will make it our home again on our next trip! I could write forever on how much of a great time we had but you should book this property and find out for yourselves! I would recommend Gordon to anyone and would rent any properties that he has without hesitation!

This property is EVERYTHING Gordon says it is. My husband and I have been active in vacation rentals for 30 years. THIS PLACE IS THE REAL DEAL! Do you want an extremely clean, modern, beautifully decorated 2 bdrm condo with high end accents for an INCREDIBLY affordable price? This is the place. It has an amazing view of the water....some many, many feet away but still has that "ocean view feel". QUIET. so quiet.
I could write an entire review of this place but BELIEVE ME...just read what Gordon says and it's true! He is TERRIFIC to work with. Professional, timely, honest, punctual. I would not hesitate to recommend Gordon and any property he is renting.
Great condo on the Big Island!
A second vacation to Hawaii brought us back to the Big Island because there is SO much to see and do! Without a second thought, we booked our lodging again at Hali'i Kai in Gordon's condo. He is easy to work with and was available thorough out our stay if something unexpected came up. Anyone vacationing on the Big Island would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay. I would recommend this property to anyone!
Amazing condo!!!
This was my first time using VRBO so naturally I was a bit nervous, but dealing with Gordon was an easy and pleasant experience. The condo was beautiful and the fruit, nuts and coffee put out for us were a very nice added touch! Not to mention there is a closet full of snorkel gear and beach toys, towels, and lots of other stuff. Gordon is very easy to work with and accessible throughout your stay. The process of booking the condo was very easy and Gordon even provided info on things in the area. All in all this was a very pleasurable experience and Hali'i Kai is an amazing place to stay, safe to say we will be back!
Highly Recommend this Condo!
We've stayed at this condo on two separate occasions and both stays were excellent. Hali'i Kai is a first-class meticulously-maintained resort with newer, high quality condos, lovely views and a spectacular pool area. For similar quality ocean view condos in nearby resorts, you'll pay a lot more. Some parts of Waikoloa Beach Resort can be busy. However, once you enter the gated Hali’i Kai – you’re unaware of being in a large resort. It’s very quiet and isolated from any noise. There are advantages to being in a busy resort though… there are ample shopping and restaurants choices nearby.
The condo itself is very well-kept and is stocked with everything you'll need. The beds and furniture are of good quality and are in very good condition. The view from the lanai is beautiful and the sunsets are amazing... we spent hours there.
As much as we love beach time in Hawaii, we spend less time at beaches while staying at Hali'i Kai. The Ocean Club is so good, it's tempting to spend most of your days there instead. The oceanfront pool area is really beautiful. The pool itself is heated and the food and beverages there are very good, if a little pricey (but worth it for the convenience).
I cannot recommend this resort and this condo highly enough. The only one (small) thing I would change would be to have secure wifi at the condo. However, the unsecured wifi there is by far better than none. This is a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things.
Lastly, the owner of this condo was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was very helpful and responsive. Thank you Gordon for making our stays so easy and pleasant.
