Tropical Paradise

Bedrooms 2
Property type condo

About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

My apartment is located in Marbella del Caribe, one of the most sought after vacation locations in Isla Verde. It is located about 5 minutes away from the airport and about 10 minutes from Old San Juan. The apartment will seduce you with the most spectacular ocean views imaginable.

The building includes a beautiful swimming pool and tennis courts. Private parking is also available. Being centrally located in Isla Verde, a major tourism area, the building offers the comforts of your home away from home besides being close to supermarkets, banks, dry-cleaners and other conveniences. At night you'll enjoy SAN JUAN'S exciting nightlife being near major hotels, casinos, and fine dining such as the ESJ Towers, Ritz Carlton, Intercontinental, Marriot, and Embassy Suites.

Even better than expected!!

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of 4 and stayed at this condo for 5 weeks this summer, we arrived to find the condo spotless, freshly painted with a beautifully remodeled restroom and new modern living room & dining room furniture . The condo's kitchen is fully equipped. The view and location are amazing. plenty of activity at the beach and great people watching. The Walgreens across the street comes in handy and there is plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Charlie's car rental is directly across the street so it makes it easy to rent a car as needed and the reserved parking spot is a plus as parking is a priced commodity in San Juan. The common areas of the building are kept very clean and the charcoal grills out by the beach are a plus. The pool and the playground are well kept as well. The only negative i can think of would be that the elevators did not work twice during our stay but not for long they were back in service within a few hours. No big deal, we could use the exercise. Overall this was a great place to stay and like always the management company strives to keep these properties extremely clean and are very helpful. We will be back!

Great apartment

  • 4 of 5

The actually apartment my kids and I stayed are is different from the one shown in the pictures. Believe it or not, it was actually nicer looking. It was a spacious sunny and airy apartment with an amazing view of the beach and pool. I can't possibly do the apartment justice. It was clean, comfortable and like a second home. The ac worked great, the water pressure was awesome and the full kitchen and washer/dryer a real plus! I cooked several meals and it was great eating on the balcony listening to the waves and feeling the breeze. My children enjoyed their stay here so much! The pool was warm, clean and open till 10pm - but beware - it's closed on Mondays for maintenance. The beach was great and there are tennis courts, basketball courts and a playground for kids. It's also centrally located to many restaurants within walking distance. There's a Wendy's, Pizza Hut and other local eating joints. There are pubs and casinos down the street. The Pueblo supermarket is also a walk or short drive away. We took advantage of the 24hr Walgreens directly across the street from the condominium complex - they have EVERYTHING including groceries and paper goods. There are also car rentals within walking distance - very convenient for a quick day trip! So really you don't have to go far except for sight seeing. For that there's a bus stop in front of the condominium that will take you to Old San Juan.

Security was great and very friendly. You will need keys for everything so make sure you always have them on hand. It's fully secured building with only one parking spot assigned per apartment so if you have guests, they need to park elsewhere. Do NOT advise them to take up another parking space. This happened to me when I had a rental and it was very inconvenient, yet not the management's fault.

I would recommend this as a great vacation for the family because it has all the conveniences of home plus the beach and AMAZING heated pool. I will definitely rent this apartment in the future. My only suggestion is to perhaps stock the apartment with paper goods, garbage bags, paper towels and toilet paper. It would be a great bonus!

Thank you for making our vacation so comfortable and memorable!

Beautiful Spring vacation place

  • 5 of 5

We were in San Juan for Spring Break with kids age 5,10 and 14. Had great time. Location was great. View from 12th floor balcony was beautiful. We enjoyed having breakfast and evening tea in the balcony. Following are some of the positives.

- Great location. On the beach with great view of beach.

- Very secured building with 24 hours security guard. You have to use master keys to get in and out to beach, swimming pool and parking garage.

- Apartment had everything we needed for family of 5.

- Fully functional and well equiped kitchen. We pretty much had our breakfast and one meal in the apartment every day.

- So many facilities/shops at walking distance. 24 hour Walgreen and Charlie car rental right across the apartment building. Taco bell, Pizza Hut, many restaurants were within 1 block.

- Very nice swimming pool. My kids loved it.

- Clean and well maintained building facilities.

- Safe underground Parking was very helpful.

-Rental Agency staff was very helpful and very prompt in responding any questions. They even offered their parking space for an evening when my friend was visiting. They were very prompt in providing me second set of keys.

- Walking closet/small room in master bedroom had lots of things like sand toys, beach chairs etc. which we could use.

Lovely location

  • 4 of 5

My family had been looking to travel to San Juan over the Christmas holidays. We were told that because it was a holiday that we had to pay for a full week even though we were only staying for five nights. We didn't mind even though the original posting did not say that. There are five of us and we were promised a unit with a convertible couch. As the date approached, we were told that the original unit that we had been promised wasn't available and they had another comparable one to offer us that slept four and they would make sure that a rollaway cot was in the unit. The veiw and setting were perfect and the access to the beach was easy, safe and secure, The underground parking was a bonus, too. We were a bit disappointed by the unit-the top of the fridge was very dirty and when I picked up the vinyl placemats, cockroaches crawled out. Cable reception died the second day of our stay which might have been an island problem so we had no TV. Not a problem for us as the weather was beautiful all five days; it rained the day we left. I am hoping that the original unit that we had been promised would have been cleaner.

Owner's Response: I contacted the managing company we use in PR regarding these comments and attached is their reply: We are the managing company that takes care of the apartment’s maintenance, cleaning, etc, for various owners of apartments in PR. First of all, we want to apologize and make no excuses for the items mentioned in the review regarding the overall cleaning/maintenance of the unit, which are all our responsibility (not the owner of the apartment). Those are things that should never have happened and we can assure them (the tenants) that, without going into the particular details, we are taking appropriate actions to improve our services. Even though we would have been available to correct most problems that occurred during a tenant’s stay, our aim is to have none (or the least possible), so that the tenant will have the most enjoyable time. Some problems, like the cable situation, are out of our hands even though we would make the corresponding appointment with the cable company. To conclude, we are glad and wish to thank the tenant that the overall rating given was above average, and hope that they will come back in the future.

Wonderful place to stay!!

  • 4 of 5

Normally when we visit Puerto Rico we stay with family members throughout the island. This was our first condo rental on the island and we were thrilled with the results. The beach was clean (a tractor came by almost every day and swept the beach). The property managers were so helpful with everything we needed. The building is very secure with a security guard outside the building at all times and only residents can access the building from the beach with the master building key. There were chairs and umbrellas for rent right outside the complex and with very reasonable rates. Tons of restaurants, shopping and casinos within walking distance. The only issue we had was the construction on the street directly in front of the building... Not the worst thing in the world... Very close to everything we needed. I will definitely return.

It's not a 5 star resort

  • 2 of 5

Stayed here in April 2009. The beach and the local area is loaded with trash. There are gates with locks on everything! Two locked gates and a locked door to get to and from the beach. The condo is very basic and the room could use a major cleaning. If you are looking for a low rent vacation, this one will do. There is a Walgreen right across the street and you can buy almost anything you need. Prices are the same as in the states. Rental car was $300 for the week. Roads are terrible and the drivers don't ever follow rules. Get your racing hat on and drive aggressive or you won't get anywhere. Visit Old San Juan, Bio Bay and the rain forest. Other than that, there is not much to do.
