If you enjoy nature...

...you're at the right place. We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful house very much. The communication with Pina went smooth and we were welcomed with local fruits and olive oil from the surrounding hills. The garden is so beautiful, very big and invites to hang out all day long between the trees and blooming flowers. Every night we could see the sunset into the sea which was really special. You are definitely in need of a car if you stay there, the closest supermarket or beach is 10-15 min away by car. All the destinations we visited on Sicily (Palermo, Villa Romana del Casale,...) were reached within 2,5 hours by car. We would definitely come back! :-)

Un beau séjour dans un lieu idyllique

Malgré une météo peu clémente, nous avons passé 10 jours très agréables dans cette belle propriété pleine de caractère et très calme, au milieu des oliviers, sur les hauteurs de Rocca di Capri Leone : depuis l'entrée, on voit la mer et les îles toutes proches . La maison est très spacieuse et bien agencée, décorée "à l'ancienne", ce qui lui donne beaucoup de cachet. Le jardin est immense. Pina et son mari nous ont accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Attention aux petits vadrouilleurs : les portails de la propriété sont hors d'usage, en position ouverte ! Par ailleurs, pour une raison que nous n'avons pas évoquée avec Pina, on ne se gare pas dans la propriété, mais en contrehaut, sur le chemin d'accès.

Frühling im Winter

Zu Beginn war das Haus ziemlich ausgekühlt und wir mußten kräftig heizen, doch für Holznachschub wurde sehr gut gesorgt! Danach war es sehr angenehm und wir genossen den offenen Kamin und tagsüber die milden Temperaturen, die Spaziergänge in den Olivenhainen und am Strand, die Ausflüge in die nähere und weitere Umgebung! Der Garten ist ein Traum! Die Sauberkeit im Haus lässt etwas zu wünschen übrig! Die Betreuung und Hilfeleistungen war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Wir verbrachten hier mit unseren beiden Hunden wunderbare, unbeschwerte, erholsame und kreativeTage und kommen gerne wieder!

Really enjoyed the house, wish I could have worked out the bread oven. Tried and failed.

It has everything you need although we bought a couple of items we wanted like a chopping board. Bedrooms and bathrooms were fine and the bbq area is fantastic. The bread and pizza oven beat me but was fun trying. We were bitten by local insects frequently but not sure where we were targeted. Didn't spoil anything at all. Sarah welcomed us and took time to show us around the house which was a nice touch. Take care to be economical with electricity as this is an additional charge. We paid 24 euros at the end of our 2 weeks. The local info could do with updating but we found our way to what we needed. Driving is an experience, hesitate and you lose is the rule I think. I could not work out priorities at junctions. Visit etna if you don't mind the drive. Guided walking tour to latest eruptions 2002 was exceptional. Tindari is wonderful and don't miss the roman town remains up there. Not well cared for but very interesting. We liked the beach at capo Di Orlando at ligthouse end for a quiet read. We also liked Brolo and kefalu is stunning. If you like a bit of an adventure try catafurlco waterfall. Bit of a hike but worth it. The lane had a bit of a fence blocking it but was only to keep animals out or in? Just undo and put back as you walk through. Don't drive your car too far along the lane! Over all a great 2 weeks. Recommended.

Entspannen in wunderschönem und ruhigen Haus und Garten

Wir waren im Mai für 2 1/2 Wochen in diesem schönen Ferienhaus. Das Grundstück mit Garten und schönen Terrassen rund um das Haus war gut geeignet für einen ruhigen Urlaub in wunderschöner Natur. Der Garten ist wunderschön und bietet viele Plätze für Liege oder Gartenmöbel, um draußen zu sitzen, zu Frühstücken, Leseecken im Halbschatten zu finden oder einfach die Sonne zu genießen. Das Haus hat einen ganz besonderen Flair. Wir haben an einem kühleren Abend den Kamin angefeuert und außerdem im Pizzaofen Pizza gebacken. Zwar sind die Möbel sichtbar in die Jahre gekommen, aber wir haben alles vorgefunden, was wir brauchten und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Noch besser wäre es gewesen, wenn die Betten bessere Matratzen gehabt hätten. Diese müssten wirklich dringend erneuert werden, ebenso der Duschvorhang. Deshalb auch der Abzug, sonst hätte es 5 Sterne gegeben. Ein Auto muss man unbedingt haben, da die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten etwa 4 km entfernt sind. Wir haben fast jeden Morgen leckeres Brot aus der Bäckerei in Rocca Capri Leone geholt. Die Umgebung bietet viele Möglichkeiten für Ausflüge in die Natur und in die tollen Städte und Dörfer Siziliens.

Agréable extérieurement magnifique jardin

Le jardin est comme nous l'avions imaginé au vu des photos un vrai havre de paix où nous avons envie de nous reposer et profiter du calme. Mais attention prévoir le produit antimoustique. Par contre à l'intérieur mobilier vieillot, usé, un rėėquipement complet de la cuisine en ustensiles est indispensable. Le manque de moustiquaire rend la maison hyper chaude car nous ne pouvions rien ouvrir. Possibilité de mettre la climatisation dans les chambres mais électricité payante. Dommage car la maison est bien située dans un jolie cadre. Par ailleurs les personnes s'occupant de la location sont peu accueillantes à part le monsieur.

Das Haus und die Einrichtung muss dringend renoviert werden, dann könnte es weiterempfohlen werden

Das Haus liegt sehr schön in einer gepflegten Gartenanlage, etwas versteckt von der Straße nach Capri Leone. Leider trübt die Urlaubs Freude die etwas veraltete, kaputte Einrichtung und die Küchenausstattung, welche nicht immer sicherheits technisch einwandfrei ist: - Backofen funktioniert nicht - Gasherd hat keinen funktionierende Regler, der die Gaszufuhr stoppt, wenn keine Flamme brennt - Stühle am Esstisch sind alle aus dem Leim - bei den zwei Sesseln sind notdürftig Holzbretter unter die Sitzflächen geschoben worden - es fehlt an nicht defekten Tee oder Kaffee Kannen - der Abluß der Dusche war verstopft und musste von uns notdürftig gereinigt werden - die Betten entsprechen nicht den heutigen Standards ( wackelig zu eng ).

Bien mais....

La maison correspond à la description et aux photos mais une fois dedans le charme de cette ancienne demeure cède la place à l'inconfort d'une maison de campagne avec beaucoup de poussière, sans moustiquaires aux fenêtres, avec un lit bébé cassé et rongé par les mites, avec beaucoup de vaisselle inutile et datée et pas de place pour ranger la nourriture. Le jardin est charmant et bien etratenu et bien équipé. La localisation bonne car se situe peu en dehors de la ville de Rocca di Capri Leone, même si pour la plage c'est mieux de se rendre à Capo d'Orlando. Sara, la dame qui nous a accueilli, est très gentille et disponible et a reagi très vite à nos sollicitations. Même chose le monsieur qui s'occupe de l'entretien du jardin.

Super, ruhig sehr Familienfreundlich und deutschsprechende Betreuung

Ehrenwertes altes Haus mit allem Komfort. Klimaanlage in den Schlafzimmer, W-Lan, komplette Küche, mehrere Aussensitzplätze, grosse Spielwiese. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl.

Superbe propriété

Superbe propriété tant intérieurement qu'exterieurement. Accueil agréable Beaucoup de cachet dans l'aménagement de la maison. Mais j'ai passé les meilleurs moments au calme dans la balancelle. Idéal pour se reposer, et pour circuler dans les environs.
