海の息を呑むような眺めと海岸沿いの道への直接アクセスを備えた、落ち着いた環境の独立したコテージ。

4つ星のすべての季節の魔法を楽しむことができるシンプルできれいなホリデーリゾートです。

コテージは150年以上にわたり大西洋を見守ってきました。 西に面していれば、夏には壮大な夕日を、冬には野生の嵐を楽しむのに最適なスポットです。

このコテージには古いものと新しいものが最高です。 スレートフロア、花崗岩の石壁、アガ、花崗岩のワークトップ、木製の食器棚など、モダンで快適な暖房、上階のカーペット、シャワー、食器洗い機、電子レンジなどが備わっています。

近くのPendeen Lighthouseの岩が多い海岸線に位置し、近くのGeevorの古代の錫鉱山の景色を見渡せます。

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans ce gite. Situation exceptionnelle face à la mer, confort, propreté, calme, accès direct au sentier de randonnée, tout était réuni pour que notre séjour soit réussi. Le passé minier de la région nous a beaucoup intéressés. Nous avons quitté cette maison à regrets et la recommandons sans réserve !

Lovely location

Brilliant location and generally a lovely cottage. The toilet and bath were spotless, but generally the cottage needed a good hoovering and mopping.

Much better than advertised!

Hard to adequately describe this unique property. Can't say enough positive things about it - very charming in every way. Secluded, ocean a few minutes walk away. Home is very well equipped with everything you'll need. And the AGA stove is such a welcome source of warmth after a cool walk along the Southwest Coastal path. Hard to leave this perfect setting each day to explore Cornwall.. we will be returning.

Sea view heaven

Great cottage with views from the bedroom window! We had a lovely time staying at Penny Farthing Cottage, and having stayed for many years in the area, it was good to find such a nice cottage feeling like we were on the edge of Cornwall. It was in a perfect place for us, being able to get out on walks direct from the cottage across to Portheras beach, where we saw 4 seals! Went for a drink & meal at the North Inn, which coincided with a folk music band. Helen was great in communicating with us & couldn't do more to help when there was a problem wit the water heating. Definitely recommend and hope to stay again in the future.

Peaceful and refreshing

The photos do not do justice to this cottage So relaxing stunning views a wonderful place to rest and recharge - no large TVs a bonus for me Lovely local pubs friendly and good food A good location to visit this part of Cornwall and not far from most places We visited Marazion, Porthcurno, Perrannuthnoe, Mousehole St Just, Hayle and Penzance also paid a visit to Lands End Airport for future adventures Loved the warmth of the Aga easy to use Lots of Cornish history locally and viewed from the kitchen window towards the mine and light house Fabulous views at night of ships on the Atlantic the sound of the waves was magical Last night the stars were everywhere and looked so big in the night sky

Another lovely stay

Pennyfarthing is always a delightful place to be and this was no exception. We love the calm peaceful setting overlooking the fields, sea and old mine workings. First time in June and all the flowers were out plus barn owls and myriad other wildlife. We love it!

Beautiful location, lovely cottage

We loved our stay in this cottage. The views are amazing in all weathers, it faces west so watching sunsets was fabulous! So little light pollution the night skies were wonderful. Clean, warm cottage in a great part I'd the world.

Fantastic Base to explore South West Cornwall

We arrived early Sunday afternoon and were immediately impressed. The centrepiece of the cottage is definitely the kitchen with the AGA keeping the whole cottage warm. The kitchen itself is very well equipped and there are plenty of pans and utensils specifically designed for cooking with the AGA.. If you have never used one it takes a little while to get used to but that was part of the fun. The sitting room was hardly used but was a nice place to watch the sunset from. There is a small step down into the downstairs bathroom which is very easy to get caught out by along with the water from the hot tap which really is hot. Something to be aware of if you have young children. The stairs are quite steep and the carpet can be a bit slippery so care needs taking especially with the low headroom. The views from the bedroom out over the cliffs are a lovely way to wake up in the morning. We had a fantastic time here and are sure that you would too.

Cosy cottage with great view

We had a very pleasant and quiet stay, with sunny weather. The cottage is fully equipped and well located to visit both south and north coasts of Cornwall. We enjoyed the cottage and surroundings, as well as our daily appointment with sunset.

Such a cosy, well equipped, beautiful place to getaway and relax.

Really good communication with owner....even offered a sun dance! However the sad weather didn't sadden our stay.

Penny Farthing Cottage can be found in the Peninsula of Penwith west of Penzance. It is a beautiful area with incredible beaches, cliffs, ancient countryside, gardens and lots to see and do. You can stay local and walk the coastpath north and south or go further afield. The bus tours around the coastline from St. Ives to St. Just to Sennen, Land's End and Penzance.
All of these places are a great day out. Marazion, Mousehole or the fishing village of Newlyn are all a short drive away. You can catch a play at the Minnack Theatre in Porthcurnow or just sit on the cliff-paths and wait for the seals or occasional dolphins to show up.
The countryside is lush and colourful.
There are also many delicious food-stops available should you wish to try the local Cornish food scene or drink local wine from Polgoon. There are also plenty of wonderful art and crafts work from local artists to enjoy.
Plus the surfing credentials of the area in Sennen and other secret surf spots.
We have visited this area of Cornwall for over 25 years and never tired of what it has to offer.

Lying in bed and looking out at the ocean and the diving gannets is like looking at an ever changing oil painting.
On a clear day the Scilly Isles are visible.
Set in one of the most unspoilt corners of Cornwall it is surrounded by history.
A place where you can feel how much stronger nature is than man.
By night the stars shine bright, by day bird-life fills the skies.
The cottage over 150 years old is cosy and quirky and looks out at the historic and atmospheric Geevor and Botallack tin mines and landscape.
It is truly one of the most magical and restorative places I have ever experienced.
