Welcome to Gobbler Hill Cottage at Rocky Run Sustainable Farm located at Slate Mills, Virginia. Nestled in the rolling hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this quaint cottage is the perfect getaway for one or two couples. You'll have full access to relax and enjoy the peaceful country setting. The house is near Old Rag Mountain, Skyline Drive, Graves Mountain Lodge, and the picturesque villages of Sperryville and Madison. Wineries, hiking, restaurants, and outdoor activities abound. Slate Mills Baptist and other churches are located nearby. The larger town of Culpeper is just a short drive for many additional entertainment choices.

This immaculate farm cottage features an open living area with expansive views through large windows and glass doors. An eat-in kitchen with granite countertops and all modern appliances makes your cooking experience a pleasure. The entire house is handicapped accessible. It boasts two bedrooms, each with marble and tile accented en-suite bathrooms. A third half bath is conveniently located off the carport and laundry room.

Outdoors you can enjoy your coffee on the front porch looking west towards the mountains or sit on the carport listening to the babbling creek and rustling leaves. Parking is easy with a one level carport and two car turnaround area. The lawn is wonderfully landscaped with seasonal flowers, herbs, shrubs and trees, and walking around the expansive yard you'll hear the sounds of nature nearby.

Peaceful Farm Stay

Had a wonderful visit! Property was very clean and welcoming. Beautiful views! We enjoyed watching the cows graze. The property is a little off the beaten path and will be about a 20 minute drive to stores/restaurants. If you are looking for a little quiet time and wanting to relax this is the place! The property manger Amber was very friendly and hospitable. I gave her a call about the Wi-Fi, she was at the house to help within minutes, and got it working! She let us know she was just down the road if we needed anything at all. My elderly grandmother accompanied us on the trip and the house was perfectly accessible for her. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return!

This property was very dirty rodent droppings throughout the whole house,dust, no Wi-Fi, an old DVD player, old tv,rude host, and dirty refrigerator. This house was so bad my family and I paid for a two night stay and left after one night. Then we get accused of trashing the place. These people are classless host. Don’t waste your drive or money to the dusty rodent filled house. That has no tv and no Wi-Fi.

Beautiful scenery from deck! Spacious bedrooms, bathrooms, living room and kitchen. Absolutely terrific.

Gorgeous views

The home was clean, comfortable and off the beaten path. If you prefer private, non commercial spaces, this is for you. About a 40 minute ride on country roads to Skyline Drive.
