Gîte "le petit bois" (maximum 7 people) adjoining the gite "le grand bois" and at the owner's house.
Cottage located in a very quiet hamlet in the town of Helfaut, 3 km from the A26 motorway, 7 km from Saint-Omer (its lively town center, its cathedral, the Audomarois Marsh listed by UNESCO, the house of the Marais, the dome of Helfaut at 3 km (war museum 39/45), the forest of Clairmarais.

We look forward to welcoming you to this brand new, fully equipped gîte and advising you on the many activities and good addresses possible.
Mountain bikes for adults and children are available and many hikes are possible from the cottage.
WIFI, private parking and enclosed grounds, garden with games for children, garden furniture, barbecue.

Rural house of 90 m², adjoining the cottage "le petit bois" and the owner's house, new and completely renovated, private parking, enclosed grounds, large shared garden with access to outdoor games (small wooden house, slide, swing) , garden furniture, barbecue.
It consists :
on the ground floor: an entrance hall, a fully equipped kitchen living room (induction hob, electric oven, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher), in the living room area 2 large sofas, flat screen TV with satellite decoder foreign channels, and a double bedroom (140x190) giving access to a bathroom with sink, shower and WC.
Upstairs, on one side: a double bedroom (140x190) with bay window and balcony giving access to a bathroom with basin, 70x110 shower, WC
On the other: a queensize bedroom with 2 80x200 twin beds giving access to a bathroom with basin, 70x110 shower, WC and a games / reading room.

Deposit 200 € to be paid on site.

1 dog authorized after the owner's AGREEMENT: € 7 / day.

Heating and electricity included up to 24 kWh / day: the excess will be charged.

weekend off season: Friday 5 p.m. to Sunday 11 a.m. (or Saturday 3 p.m. to Monday 10 a.m.)

Maximum 5 people for companies in 5 different beds.

Wonderful Place to stay

Well equiped cottage with nice Garden in Quite surrounding. The Region Pas de Calais offers historic places and incredible beaches without overtourism We, a Family with Teenager and dog, enjoyed our 2 weeks In Summer at the cottage- Dishwasher, really good wifi, and enough Space for all of us helped to recreate. Thank you, we all would Like to come again

4 adults stayed. Come and go as you please. Very clean, excellent water quality, loads of plates, pans etc in kitchen. Good showers. Excellent communications. Good fridge freezer. Dishwasher, Fantastic fire for when chilly. Oven worked well. No problems with any appliances. You need a car (as stated in the listing)though we walked to Le Coupole and had a walk to the lovely supermarket at Helfaut and visited the wargraves in the churchyard. Ideal location as very central for visiting all WW1 & WW2 locations, beaches and loads of other interesting places to see. Aldi at Wizernes or Carrefour at St Omer. We had a great time, really interesting. The gite has loads of leaflets for information. Nice, clean & quiet area.

Tutto come elencati e promesso. Pulito e moderne. Zone tranquilla e silenziosa. Centrale per visitare il nord della Francia, in macchina o bicicletta. Soggiorni tranquillo e piacevole senza sorprese. L'unico problema è il fatto, che c'è troppo da vedere e visitare per una settimana.

Die Unterkunft war genau richtig für einen Urlaub mit kleinen Kindern, da der Garten zum spielen einlud. Die Wohnung war geräumig und der Vermieter nett. Bei der Anreise standen wir im Austausch wann wir ankommen und als wir da waren war der Vermieter schon bereit. Lediglich die Lage erfordert etwas Orga, da der Ort weit außerhalb von Infrastruktur ist. Aber die FeWo selbst ist absolut empfehlenswert.

Zunächst ein Dank an unseren Gastgeber Stanley Brasseur. Er hat auf unsere Anfragen schnell und kompetent reagiert. Vor Ort wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen. Er hat uns die Wohnung ausführlich erklärt und uns mit viel Informationsmaterial versorgt.Die Wohnung ist sehr schön eingerichtet; es gibt eine überdachte Terrasse, auf der man sich auch bei schlechterem Wetter aufhalten kann.Zwei Schlafzimmer mit Dusche/WC liegen im Obergeschoß. Wir haben uns aus Bequemlichkeit für das Schlafzimmer im EG entschieden.Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und gab für uns als Hobbyköche keinen Grund zur Beanstandung.Helfaut ist ein kleines Dorf ohne richtige Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.Der nächste Bäcker oder Metzger ist im Nachbardorf, ca. 4 km entfernt.In Saint Omer (ca. 8 km entfernt) gibt es allerdings größere Supermärkte, darunter der sehr zu empfehlende Hypermarche Auchan. Der Samstagsmarkt ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlenEin PKW ist u. E. auf jeden Fall erforderlich.Die Kleinstadt St. Omer ist typisch für eine nordfranzösische Stadt und absolut zu empfehlen.Auch sonst kann man sich in der Region die Zeit gut vertreiben.Trotz sehr wechselhaftem Wetter (Hitzetage, Regen, starke Temperaturrückgänge und immer wieder stürmische Winde) war der Aufenthalt erholsam.Für Familien mit Kindern ist die FeWo auf jeden Fall geeignet.Wir kommen gerne wieder einmal.

Gîte très propre et très bien équipé

Au calme, excellent emplacement pour visiter la région. Bien adapté pour un séjour en famille ou entre amis avec des chambres ayant chacune leur salle de bain et leur WC. Attention cependant aux escaliers, il faut être assez mobile voire agile pour les chambres a l’étage. Ne conviendra pas par exemple avec des petits enfants.

Je suis content que l’emplacement du gîte et ses commodités vous aient plu et que vous avez passé un bon séjour. Après , les 2 escaliers sont des escaliers de meunier , bien visibles sur les photos, qui font le charme d’un gîte : j’ai conscience qu’ils ne sont pas adaptés aux personnes âgées et aux jeunes enfants ! De là à dire qu’ « il faut être assez mobile , voire agile ! » me semble malgré tout sévère: ce n’est quand même pas le parcours du combattant pour monter aux étages ! Il y a peu , c’étaient encore 2 escaliers à pas népalais , pour le coup compliqués à monter et que j’ai changé récemment…

Sehr angenehmer Vermieter

Das perfekte Landflair auf schönem sicherem Gelände. Der Vermieter ist nett, zuvorkommend und jederzeit ansprechbar, da er mit seinen großen Kindern im Haupthaus wohnt. Beide Ferienwohnungen sind sehr vollständig ausgerüstet, sauber und wirklich schön. Die Betten sind gut und die Sanitärtechnik neu. Alles funktioniert und die Aussenanlage ist für Kinder und Erwachsene wertvoll und erholsam. Die Lage zu Städten und Blongne sur Mer sowie dem Cap Griz Nez und Cap Blance Nez ist gut und sehr empfehlenswert. Ein Becker ist 2,3 km entfernt und sehr viel Infomaterial zu Aktivitäten vorhanden. Fazit: Runde Sache in Traumhafter Lage zu allem was Nordfrankreich zu bieten hat! Die Vehrings aus dem Münsterland
