About Carolyn Strand
My brother and I bought this condo because we have fallen in love with the Traverse City area. We are from Texas and our summers are insufferable. Our favorite memory of TC is watching the Fourth of July fireworks along West Bay in sweat pants and jackets! That is not something you can ever do in Texas. Our condo is decorated in a nautical style reminiscent of our homes in Texas. We have taken great care to outfit our condo in a style that showcases our concern for the discriminating traveler. Please enjoy our home as much as we do. Frederick Carroll and Carolyn Strand

What makes this Condo unique
We chose this location because it is the best of all worlds. We are a short walk down beautiful tree-lined streets filled with wonderful Victorian houses to some of our favorite downtown restaurants. The shopping is fantastic as well. But then we are across the street from Sunset Beach Park along West Bay where the sunsets are phenomenal. Go in the opposite direction and F&M Park awaits you with grills, a gazebo where there is always entertainment, and beautiful flowers. The TART Trail begins right out our door where you can bicycle along the bay or all throughout town.

Great location and fully equipped
This was the second time we've stayed at this convenient and comfortable condo. Our month long stay this winter was made so easy because we knew that all we needed to take was our clothing and ski equipment. The condo is stocked with all other amenities from linens to basic cooking supplies. And it's wonderful that shopping, restaurants, and movie theaters are just a short walk away through the lovely old neighborhoods. And we were greeted by Lisa who was available if we had any problems, which we didn't.
Beautiful condo in a convenient location!
Our group enjoyed our stay at the Blue Hernon Condo very much. The condo is cozy, well furnished, very clean and modern with a well stocked kitchen. Every room was very comfortable. One of us stayed on the pull out and claimed it was more comfortable than his bed back home! The location is ideal as it is a 5 minute walk to downtown Traverse City and just a block away from the lake. Since our stay was over the winter holiday, we took advantage of the close proximity of outdoor activities such as skiing at Boyne Mountain (Crystal Mountain is just as far but south of the city). The owner and her property manager were a pleasure to work with and were quick to answer any questions. Property manager was extremely accommodating with check in times as it snowed quite a bit right before we arrived. We would definitely recommend this rental!
Clean and spacious
As other reviewers have stated the condo is very clean and well stocked. A welcome gift was a very nice touch and not one I see often. The linens were soft and plentiful. Both the owner and manager are extremely easy to work with, and provide lots of ideas about town. Even though temps were in sing,e digits, we walked to dinner at North Peak and Georgina's. Also to a great happy hour at Red Ginger. The condo complex was very quiet even during this holiday week. I highly recommend.
Immaculate and great location
We rented the Blue Heron for our annual fall getaway. The condo was immaculate. The kitchen was well stocked. Location is great - easy access to downtown TC. Carolyn was great to work with, she was very responsive and even provided a welcome gift which was a very nice touch. Would definitely recommend.
