Your Southwest Florida getaway awaits you in this beautiful recently renovated mobile home. It offers two bedrooms and one full bath with a fully equipped kitchen, open to a comfortable living room. Located on a deep water canal with direct access to the gulf, the property includes a dock with a fish cleaning station and small, private sandy beach area. The small island of Goodland, which sits on the edge of the Everglades is a hidden gem, frozen in time with it's fishing village charm. For your safety, exterior surveillance cameras are in use. Easy self check in with combination lock box.

A True Gem

Fell in love with the Goodland community last year and wanted to stay there this year. Found this place on VRBO and booked it. The place is a true gem. I highly recommend this property and would rent it again!

We really enjoyed walking to Little Bar, Stan’s , Crabby Lady and the bazaar. I enjoyed a morning run into Marco Island. Great place to getaway!

A bit of Goodland

The property is in walking distance to the local restaurants and the local boat launch was very close. It was great to have the boat outside the back door so we could take off on our island ventures around. We would stay again.

Great Location. Walk to local waterfront bars and restaurants Walk to awesome fish market for fresh fish and stone claws with that morning’s catch. 5 minute drive to Marco Island.

Clean and convenient to shelling trip!

This property was clean and inviting. perfect for 3-4 people. Very close to the Goodland Boat Dock if you want to go shelling with companies that leave from there. Also close to Marco Island dining and shopping.

lovely little place

The owners were quick to respond. The dock, fish cleaning station and waterway were very usable and well kept. The home has very comfortable beds, sitting areas and treated water. Easy canal access. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Great Fishing HQ

Great location on Goodland just minutes from the boat launch. House was clean and comfortable. Could have used a few essentials such as soap, some toilet paper and paper towels which we had to go get after we arrived and tried to shower the first night. Also some basic spices and a grill would be a good addition. But generally enjoyed our stay and the house also has a boat ramp and dock and is close to some good restaurants and entertainment.

Look Closely

Everything was fine with the exception of this should clearly be explained that it is a two bed trailer home. It did smell a little bit and the AC was very inefficient. This might work for some people, but was pretty uncomfortable for us. The master bedroom AC blue right on top of me, second bedroom had a lot of trouble getting cooled down.

Goodland shelling stay

The property was VERY clean. It was a great location for a shelling trip out of Goodland as it was a ten minute walk to the boat park departure area. The communication with the property manager was difficult as we did not have a means to obtain the security code for the lock box to obtain key until the day of arrival as we did not have a US phone plan. The music from the bar down the street was quite loud. Linens were limited(only 2 facecloths for a 2 night stay) but the washing machine was very handy. No dish soap. My only suggestion would be for unscented soaps and laundry detergent be used and available.

Canal home 5 stars!!!

Everything was perfect! Five stars! Excellent communication with the owners who were kind & appreciative.Easy check in and check out process with a safe box holding the key. The house and the property were immaculate. Very clean! Very impressed! We felt safe in the neighborhood, and we were able to get everything we needed from the grocery store and the marina. Lots of cute little restaurants with Great seafood and peanut butter pie! We rented a boat for two days from the marina and were able to dock at our own house. We enjoyed the canal In front of the house with a few visitors from pelicans and a neighborhood dolphin. The pictures displayed on line were bang on with accuracy and the house was charming. It was nicely decorated and we were able to make it our own for our time there. We plan on returning and recommending it to our friends who are interested in Island life. We are so pleased and happily give these folks and this property our endorsement!

Why they chose this property

While travelling on vacation in southwest Florida, we stopped in on this little island of Goodland. We were not looking to purchase a property but knew, instantly, that this place was special. This laid back little fishing village is still preserved as such, with very little major development, as much of the state has experienced. Our mobile home is recently restored, clean and comfortable. It sits on a deep water canal with a boat dock and direct access to the Gulf. Stan's, The Little Bar, Paradise Found and The Crabby Lady are all within walking distance. We know that you'll love our island as much as we do.
