Villa Il Gelso is one of the three Villas of Casali Cellini . Careful restoration finished in May 2015 , using original period materials, has maintained the style of the farm and ensured an ancient atmosphere with modern technology. The main Villa has 2 beautiful double bedroms ensuite on the first floor and one double bedroom with its own bathroom on the groundfloor. The Suite Cottage , 10 metres far from the Main Villa, offers a very big double bedroom with fire place and a huge bathroom with a big shower and modern bathtube. The cottage , 10 metres far from the Suite Cottage , offers an elegant double bedroom with shower and double sinks inside , toilette separated. We rent the whole property . The spacious bedrooms have been decorated with elegant colours. Stylish and spacious bathrooms, equipped with bathtub, shower (2 with water massage ) and all amenities to complete intimate privacy during your stay.A spacious livingroom and dining room with an amazing modern fireplace is situated on the ground floor.
From the living room you can access to the ground floor double bedroom. From the dining room you access at the beautiful modern kitchen through an aperitive area.

The kitchen is equipped with all amenities (90 cm oven , 90 cm electric hob, dish washer, toaster, american coffee, Nespresso coffe machine ) . Directly outside the kitchen you access the gazebo area where you can have lunch or dinner (10 people) with a marvellous view of Montepulciano. Next to the gazebo area you can enjoy a barbeque grills with friends. You can admire the breathtaking views of the gentle Tuscan hills all around and ear the sound of silence.
The large private garden with a panoramic wonderful swimming pool looking out over Montepulciano to guarantee you a relaxing holiday. In the laundry you can find a wash machine and dryer.
The whole Villa has air conditioning, heating and wi-fi provided. Safe on request.

Perfect location and beautiful bedrooms

I have rented many villas and this stay was up there among the best. Wonderful villa, everything was clean and worked properly and I canā€™t emphasize enough how great the location was. When you stay there go to Casa Newton for cocktails, beautiful boutique hotel a six minute drive away.

Tuscan retreat

We had a group of 11 stay and could not have loved our time more. The location was a great central spot to drive to different towns. We loved relaxing by the pools in the afternoons and our dinners al fresco. An incredible place to spend your vacation.

Amazing location - great host

The home and cottages were perfect for our family trip of 10 adults. The view of Montepulciano from the patio, the pool, the property itself all amazing! Amazing location for day trips throughout Tuscany - Florence, San G, etcā€¦ easily accessed.Nathan is an AMAZING HOST - everything we needed from groceries ahead of time to restaurant reservations, tour guides that were all terrific. He was so helpful. Simply outstanding host!!Opportunity for perfection? Tune up the air conditioning units and trim the mulberry tree in courtyard. Otherwise, simply amazing. Couldnā€™t go wrong staying here.

Chill Tuscan Vibes with Friendly, Easy Communication

We really loved staying at Villa Il Gelso. Mariacristina was super communicative before the trip, answering all our questions quickly and making planning easy. Once we arrived, she had others checking in with us to make sure everything was going smoothly, which was nice and took the pressure off.The villa itself is gorgeousā€”comfortable, stylish, and with amazing views. The pool was perfect for relaxing after days of exploring Tuscany. All in all, a great experience with thoughtful hosts who made sure we had what we needed without being overbearing.Would definitely recommend if you want a beautiful spot and friendly, easygoing communication. Excellent wonderful property! We visited a different town everyday, none more than 11/2 hours away. The pool was relaxing after long days of touring. We had 4 couples and each had their own ensuite bedroom. The property couldn't be better!

Tuscany dream vacation!

Our extended family travelled to Tuscany for two weeks and this property was everything we hoped for. The views are amazing, the main villa and casitas have plenty of amenities. the host Mariacristina provided great suggestions for groceries, places to visit and restaurants around the area. Highlights of our trip included a winery tour, day trips to Florence, Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena and Rome (to name a few), a cooking class at the villa and plenty of time lounging by the pool admiring the local surroundings. Thanks for such an amazing vacation!

Fantastic stay in beautiful property . Best villa weā€™ve stayed in and weā€™ve stayed in many. Good bathrooms and good kitchen equipment here .These two things have let other properties down. Nice quality glassware and cutlery , not the usual mismatch. Villa is in peaceful location , yet handy for the lovely town of Montepulciano and its restaurants and supermarket . Excellent, easy communication with Mariecristina . Highly recommended

Beautiful Villa located in a wonderful environment

We stayed with our family clan at the Villa Gelso and had a perfect time. Villa and pool are brand new and furnished and decorated with a lot of taste. It was very clean and spacious. The surrounding is very beautiful and the view is breathtaking. Mariachristina is an sympathy and engaged host. We can recommend this location without any restrictions.

Tuscan charm with Modern Furnishings

Villa Il Gelso is a beautiful property with the all the benefits of a quiet countryside location with views of Montepulciano and the modern furnishings you would expect in a city hotel. It all combines for a perfect place to relax in comfort and enjoy the many villages just a short drive away. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the villa and all of the nearby activities that come with it. Mariacristina is a great hostess and was happy to arrange multiple activities including truffle hunting with Pierpaolo, chef nights at the villa with Alessandro, and wine tasting at a small family Brunello estate which was the best winery experience any of us had ever had. She was very attentive to our needs which was much appreciated. We will be back!

"Hostess With The Mostest"

Nine of us spent a wonderful week at Villa II Gelso. It was as lovely as the description and accommodated both our group activities and meals, as well as plenty of spots to get away from the group with a book or a nap. But the real jewel was our hostess, Mariacristina. For the year leading up to our trip there she patiently answered a ton of questions, always responding within hours of our emails. She gave us some great recommendations and helped arrange a visit to De Ricci, an amazing winery, and a chef who came to the villa to make us a couple dinners. She even led a yoga class for us on the grounds! While we were there she was immediately responsive to any of our requests. She had described her villa to me as "shabby chic" and I would add to that extremely cozy and welcoming.

Perfect!

We stayed at this villa in June 2017 for our wedding in Montepulciano. The villa was absolutely perfect. Mariacristina made us very welcome, and was most helpful throughout our stay. The villa is beautifully decorated. The bedrooms were all very spacious, even the smallest is a good size and all of the bathrooms were immaculately presented. The villa is remote, quiet and peaceful surrounded by stunning views. It's located about a 15 minute drive from Montepulciano (taxis varied in price from 25euros to 70euros - no idea why). The setting is perfect with lots of outside space and a lovely pool area. Both Montepulciano and Montefollonico are nearby and stunning places to visit and the countryside and views are endless, I cannot recommmend this villa and Montepulciano in general highly enough.

I gave Villa IL Gelso and Mariachristina my highest 5 star rating.

Wow - I don't know where to begin. We absolutely loved the time we spent here. The Villa was exactly as described - rustic, private, clean, peaceful, comfortable and with all the modern conveniences. It was hot for a few weeks and the air conditioning worked great. The location is 15 minutes to Montepulciano and even less time to Pienza. Close enough to food shopping and anything else you need, but far enough away to really sense that you are in the Tuscany countryside. The grounds and pool are well maintained and the views and sunsets are amazing. The cleaning crew came every Saturday to change towels, sheets and do a thorough cleaning of all 3 houses. Mariacristina was a great host and always made herself available for questions, recommendations and any minor issues that came up. We hired a cook to come twice and our entire family had a wonderful time and the food was absolutely delicious. I gave Villa IL Gelso and Mariachristina my highest 5 star rating. Thank you so much for a unforgettable vacation.

Beauty in Tuscany

The property was stunning with magnificent views of the countryside. The house and cottages were wonderfully maintained. Mariachristina was always available to answer a question (or restock firewood). She made everything easy. I cannot wait to come back to this special place.

Erholsamer Urlaub in traumhafter Lage

Bei unserem Aufenthalt mit 10 Personen, einem Kleinkind und zwei sĆ¼ĆŸen Hunden war bis auf zu wenig Beschattung, speziell am Pool, alles wunderbar! Wir hatten vorsorglich jedoch eigene Sonnensegel von zu Hause mitgebracht, ohne die es auch nicht gegangen wƤre. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!!

Vielen Dank an Mariacristina, die sich bewundernswert um unsere Anliegen gekĆ¼mmert hat. Alles hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Vom WiFi am Pool bis zur Klimaanlage in allen Bereichen. Die Aufteilung mit den separaten GebƤuden war herrlich. Es bietet Platz und eine grosse Freiheit. Die Einrichtung ist super modern. Ich kann einen Aufenthalt in der Villa Il Gelso mit Freude weiterempfehlen.

Wunderbar!

Wir waren mit der ā€žerweitertenā€œ Familie (6 Erwachsene) fĆ¼r zwei wundervolle Wochen in der Villa Il Gelso. Die Villa mit ihren beiden Cottages ist herrlich geschmackvoll restauriert und ausgestattet. Es fehlt an nichts. Aufgrund des grandiosen Wetters konnten wir den groƟen Pool ausgiebig nutzen. Landschaft und Aussicht sind traumhaft. Besonders empfehlen kƶnnen wir auch die KochkĆ¼nste von Tuscan Chef Alessandro, der in den beiden Wochen dreimal bei uns war. Insbesondere der Kochkurs mit vier GƤngen, inklusive selbstgemachter Pasta (Pici), war ein Riesenspass. Unsere Vermieterin Mariacristina war jederzeit fĆ¼r uns da und hat uns neben Restaurantempfehlungen auch bei der Organisation von Wine Tastings unterstĆ¼tzt. Fazit: herrliche Location fĆ¼r einen wundervollen Urlaub in der sĆ¼dlichen Toskana!

Geschmackvoll renoviertes Anwesen in einer der schƶnsten Gegenden der Toskana. Schƶner Blick. Sehr schƶner Pool aus Travertin. Super Service, jeden Tag wurde der MĆ¼ll abgeholt, die Klima sofort repariert.

Everything was perfect! The villa was better than advertised, the location was perfect, there was good walking from the villa, the views were fantastic, we were away from everything but everything was close, etc.! Mariacristina was great.

Simply the best

Spectacular villa in an amazing location overlooking Montepulciano. All of the rooms at the villa were immaculately clean, stylishly decorated and well appointed. There is a beautiful pool area with a large outdoor covered dining area, charcoal grill and large fire pit. Our host Maria Christina is a wonderful person and the perfect host! We loved this place, it is definitely the finest VRBO where we have ever stayed!

I was born and grew up in Treviso, close to Venice . My grandmother was from Tuscany so we often spent holidays in this magic land . I took agriculture degree in Padova and then I have been running my family organic farm in Veneto for many years. My deep love for Tuscany made me transfer here with all my family, in 2012 . We bought this property in 2011 and others two, we are now restoring, in 2012. We really fell in love with this amazing land and true people. Everything here is full of poetry and history.

You can enjoy a typical Tuscan dinner at the Villa(on request) . You can have a relaxing massage close to the pool (on request) .
