Esta Villa grande de bonito diseño a crear un lugar idílico para familias con niños, incluyendo los animales domésticos que quieren recorrer y disfrutar de espacio al aire libre relajado para incluir la comodidad, el estilo y la intimidad. Villa Kimbo (traducido a) "African Village" - se encuentra en un precioso jardín con una huerta adyacente donde usted puede ayudarse a sí mismo a las frutas de temporada! Las familias también pueden tener la oportunidad de alimentar a los pollos y gansos en libertad - esto es algo que puede excitar y niños emoción jóvenes. Två veckor i Villa Kimbo

Rymlig bostad i ostört område med fruktträd. Allt nödvändigt praktiskt finns tillgängligt i huset. Kallt ute, kallt inne (en vecka), begränsad värme. Bra ren pool (men kall). Lång promenad till byn, kort bilfärd till golfbana. Priset i annonsen gäller max 5 personer. Trevlig och hjälpsam värd.

Enjoyed the silence, boys had fun feeding the chickens. The only downside. Wifi wasnt the strongest could still stream Netflix no other online gaming possible.

Family Holiday Villa Kimbo

A lovely secluded spacious villa, clean with a large pool, huge bbq area, UK satellite TV and wireless internet access. Our family including three girls aged 7-13 a fabulous time and we would throughly recommend it to friends and family.

Wonderful, relaxing and quiet place to stay

Villa Kimbo is a lovely, clean and secluded villa in the Praia de Luz area. It is situated in an ideal location for shops, bars and the waterfront. Our holiday was relaxing, the villa catered for everything we needed and the owners Teresa and Jose were very warm, friendly and approachable. We would certainly recommend the villa as a place to stay for anyone visiting the area.

Firstly we would like to say how wonderful our holiday was staying at Teresa and Josie Villa Kimbo. The first thing we were greeted with when we got into our villa was a lovely welcome pack consisting of various food items meaning we had enough to get by until we went to the shops. The owners couldn't have been more accommodating and our 3 year old son loved feeding the ducklings and chickens they had on site and think we fed them more than ourselves in the end. Everything was spotless and we will be going again in the future as we felt completely safe and secure in a villa that exceeded our expectations. Another note just been reminded of is that we picked oranges daily which was all completely fine with the owners as well.

Villa Kimbo, Espiche

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Kimbo, one of a pair of beautiful Villas, in idyllic, secure surroundings, set back from the coast and 2km / 7km from Luz / Lagos respectively. Although the location seems remote and the directions a little daunting, it is quite straightforward to find and very rewarding when you open the gates on a little oasis of fruit trees, manicured lawns and lush greenery. The Villa was very spacious and well appointed, both inside and out, with the added benefit of wireless broadband - which will please anyone wishing to stay connected to the outside world, without being crippled by data roaming charges. I would imagine that with the full complement of eight people, some may be disappointed with the size and storage available in the rather compact kitchen, but if you're BBQ'ing or eating out every night, that probably won't be an issue? The bedrooms and living / dining areas were a good size, clean and comfortable. One thing we did notice about the bathrooms was that every single one was a bath with a shower handset. Only two of the four had a bracket on the wall in which to insert the handset! So, if you're a family that likes to shower, you may end up sharing a 'shower room', as we did. Outside, there is bags of space, a 'mahoosive' pool, plenty of sun beds and shady verandahs, if the heat get too much (or to protect little ones). The BBQ area has a huge refectory table, right next to where the food is cooked, so 'al-fresco' dining is well catered for. The owners, Jose and Teresa, were very helpful, but not overbearing or intrusive. They introduced themselves when we arrived, told us where they were if we needed them and just popped round to say goodbye as we were leaving. You are guaranteed to get your money's worth, as every day starts at 5am, thanks to (what sounds like) hundreds of cockerels and peacocks on the farm next door. Light sleepers and those who can't function without a lie-in please take note, a pair of earplugs (or a shotgun) may be a useful holiday accessory to ensure your slumber is not disturbed :-) A great holiday getaway, but only a few minutes from the beaches, supermarkets, restaurants, golf, etc. - should you really feel the need to venture out. However, with all the Villa has to offer, you might just want to do a 'Big Shop' at Intermarche, stock up with everything you need, kick back, relax and stay put!!!

Wundervoller Urlaub

Wir ( meine Grosseltern und ich, 17) war nun zum zweiten mal Gast in der Villa Kimbo. Es war wie beim ersten Mal wundervoll! Die ruhige Lage in der schoenen Landschaft, die super ausgestattete Villa mit dem grossen Pool und der nahe gelegene Strand sowie die nahe gelegene "Grossstadt" Lagos sind einfach toll. Verkehrslaerm ist ueberhaupt nicht vorhanden und die umlegenden Orte sind ueber die Schnellstrasse sehr gut zu erreichen. Die Villa selber war wirklich lupenrein sauber, die Vermieter José und Theresa sind wirklich sehr freundlich und immer zuvorkommend gewesen. Das Haus und der Pool werden regelmaessig kontrolliert sowie die Gaerten durch einen eigenen Gaertner instand gehalten werden. Bei bedarf koennen aus dem "hauseigenen" Garten frische Apfelsinen, Pampelmusen und Zitronen gepflueckt werden. Mit Ungeziefer jeglicher Art hatten wir keinerlei Probleme, weder Muecken noch Ameisen, noch sonstige Tiere. Die Villa ist liebevoll eingerichtet mit afrikanischen Accesoirs und Bildern. Es gibt eine grosse Couch-Sitzecke und eine kleinere, sowie einen grossen und kleinen innerhalb zum Essen und aussen nochmal zwei grosse und einen kleinen Tisch sowie 8 Liegen inkl. Auflagen fuer den Pool. Zwei grosse Sonnenschirme mit Staender sind ebenfalls vorhanden sowie kleinere Spielsachen die man sich fuer den Pool oder den Strand ausleihen kann. Straende gibt es in der naehern und weiteren Umgebung mehrere. Der in Luz gehoert zu den groesseren und ist auf Grund der groesse des Ortes sehr belebt aber nicht ueberfuellt. Ansonsten koennen wir den von Porto de Mos empfehlen welcher ca. 10 min entfernt liegt oder den Strand Ingrina der ca. 30min entfernt ist aber echt sehr schoen ist. Lagos selber hat 3 oder 4 sehr schoene Straende zu bieten sowie viele gute Restaurants mit portugisiescher und internationaler Kueche gleichermassen. Ich koennte jetzt noch viel schreiben aber es bleibt zusagen: Das Haus ist 100%ig weiterzuempfehlen und wir werden bald wiederkommen. Man muss es wirklich selbst erlebt haben, der Urlaub war einer der schoensten die ich je gemacht habe und ich habe doch mit meinen jungen Jahren schon relativ viel von der Mittelmeer Kueste gesehen. Portugal bleibt ganz oben auf meiner Lieblingsurlaub-Liste! Wir wuenschen ihnen einen schoenen Urlaub wie wir ihn hatten, Heinz Gerd, Dorit und Nico.

Superb get away from the everyday hustle & bustle!

We had a wonderful week in Villa Kimbo with our two teenage children and my husband's mother. The villa is very well equipped; we wanted for nothing! Having 4 bathrooms was a real bonus too. Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The only downside was that the kitchen was very small for the size of the villa and the beds were a bit hard (minor details). The owners were very helpful and friendly but respected our privacy and were not intrusive. We felt really safe and secure in this remote location as access to the villa is through electric gates. A car is essential to get out and about. Praia de Luz is a few minutes drive away and has lovely beaches and restaurants. Other resorts are also within easy reach. If you are looking for a villa to get away from it all for a week or two, then this is definately the one for you.

Villa Kimbo, Espiche

Villa Kimbo is situated in rural countryside just out of Espiche, about 10 minutes from Lagos. The Villa Kimbo lies in a small private complex with its own pool, four bedrooms and bathrooms. It provides excellent facilities for all the family, with beaches and lovely walks in close proximity. Although within a short drive of local restaurants the kitchen and bar-b-q facilities make this a real home from home but with the added advantage of your own pool. The property is surrounded by fruit trees, including fig, lemon and avocado that you are free to pick for your own use. Jose and Teresa the property owners are extremely helpful and friendly but not obtrusive. If like us you are bird watchers this is a lovely spot to be, waking up to hoopoes outside your window is a spectacular sight. Also in the surrounding area there are Azure Winged Magpie, Kestrel, Shrike, Wheatear and Warblers. We would be more than happy to return however next time we would love to stay much longer.

This is the best villa we have ever stayed in with extremely roomy accomodation and everything you could possibly need. The location is very peaceful and the secluded garden and play area makes it particularly safe for children. We enjoyed the sounds of the chickens and the geese in the adjoining orchard. It is well situated for restaurants,an excellent one only 2 kilometres away, and lovely unspoilt beaches. We would highly recommend this villa for a restful peaceful holiday.

Review of our stay at Villa Kimbo

We have just returned from a week's stay at Villa Kimbo and would thoroughly recommend it. The villa is set in lovely grounds, is very private and also secure, being at the end of a driveway protected by electronic gates. It is furnished to a high standard, is spotlessly clean and the gardens and pool are well maintained. Teresa and Jose were very helpful and friendly, without being obtrusive and will do everything they can for you. The area is at the quieter end of the Algarve and ideal for a peaceful, relaxing break. A hire car is essential though due to the slightly remote location of the villa. We really enjoyed our week at Villa Kimbo and will certainly return again!

Villa Kimbo

Having booked this holiday only a few weeks in advance of going we were so pleased that we did. It was everything we wanted, from a very warm welcome from Teresa and Jose when we arrived at the villa, to beautiful, peaceful days spent round the pool. A welcome pack was waiting for us on our arrival. The villa was very clean and well looked after and it's setting is very private. Having a car is a must due to the location of the villa but once on the main road there is easy access to Luz/Lagos etc. We would recommend this property as we had a fabulous time and would love to return one day.

Great Holidays

Villa Kimbo a Great place for holidays!!! We start with a very nice and worm welcome by Teresa and Jose. It was a very enjoyable place for our family holidays, all house is very spacious, the kids had great fun not just by the swimming pool and BBQ area but also in the children's playing area. It is visible how well maintained the villas are. It was great fun pick the fruits in the orchard, the kids loved it. Outside the villa the beaches are beautiful and the food yummy. A place to return for sure!!!

Great get away from it all Villa

The Villa was in a very quiet location. It was very safe for the children particularly being walled and accessible by an electic gate. The outside area was fantastic and pool great being bigger than average for a villa pool. Descriptions of the property in the brochure were accurate. The bedroom facilities were good providing everyone good amounts of space and it was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen area was small though and both storage of food and food preparation was a bit difficult and there were only four of us. The owners were very courious and polite and nothing would have been too much trouble. We would recommend this property to friends and rrelatives but if there were a bigger occupancy would recommend eating out rather than trying to cook at the villa. We only had the villa for a week and wated a relaxation break so didn't get out and about too much. Praia De Luz was a good town for shopping and eating out though and the beach was also very pleasant. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and the villa was just what we needed for a very private and relaxining holiday.

Lovely villa in peaceful surroundings

We enjoyed a very relaxed stay at Villa Kimbo in March '10. The Villa is situated in enclosed grounds accessed by a single large secutiry gate, so it is great for children. The pool area was very well maintained with plenty of room for enjoying the outside space and high walls & trees for maximum privacy. The villa itself was equally as well maintained and spacious inside. Although the villa is situated in a quiet rural area, there are several nice beach towns within 10mins by car, each offering lots of choice in restaurants and bars. highly recommended!

Bewertung Villa Kimbo (Ostern 2010)

Die Ausstattung der Wohnraeume ist sehr aufwendig und liebevoll (Wohnzimmer in afrikanischem Stil), fuer jedes der 4 Schlafzimmer sind Bad und WC vorhanden. Der Pool ist gepflegt und eingebettet in eine "gruene Oase", umgeben von z.B. Orangenbaeumen, Palmen, Gartenteich und Spielplatz. Auch Gaense und Huehner gehoeren zur Nachbarschaft. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich, aufgeschlossen und hilfsbereit. Die Villa Kimbo befindet sich in geschuetzter und nicht einsehbarer Lage und bietet beste Voraussetzungen fuer einen erholsamen Urlaub.

Lovely private villa

This is a lovely private villa with a lovely garden & pool.The property is well maintained & the owners are very friendly & helpful.There is easy access to some lovely beaches ,including the more rugged west coast with fantastic surf.We would definitely fecommend this villa to groups of friends or families wanting a quiet location but close to all amenities.The 4 bedrooms each with their own bathroom are excellent if there are 8 of you staying

Our Fabulous Family Holiday

A very enjoyable holiday with lots of pretty beaches and towns close by to visit. Also historical places of interest with picturesque views are plentyful along the coast. Beautiful scenery and a perfect location for a sun tan all day. The BBQ area was a great setting for lunch next to the pool. As a family, we really enjoyed the large spacious house. It is an ideal location to visit the Algarve coast as it is only a short drive way.

our stay at Villa Kimbo

We stayed at the villa at the end of sept 09, what a great place, the villa itself was huge and very clean, as descibed it is set in secure grounds with one other villa (which you couldn´t see from the pool area) the grounds are immaculate and the pool was very welcome after a hard days sightseeing. We did have a few problems finding the villa as it is at the end of quite a long dirt road which actually looks as if it goes nowhere but be patient!. The village of Espieche is well worth a wonder round as it is deceptively large and has some lovely little cafes and bars, we especially enjoyed the Resteraunt Fontenario at the entrance to the village, great food and friendly staff altogether a great atmosphere. I would certainly recommend this villa to my friends and will bore them silly with the video! The owners of the villa were very friendly and made sure we had all we needed.

Our Family Holiday

A lovely spacious and comfortable villa with its own large pool together with large barbacue and covered outside dining area. Ideal for families with four bedrooms and four bathrooms and two living areas. The gardens and fruit orchards are a delight and there is a play area for the children. The villa is private and secluded and you are well looked after with change of towels and villa cleaning twice a week. We received a warm welcome from Jose and Theresa. Espiche is a 5 minute drive away with a couple of good restaurants. A car is essential but there are many beautiful beaches including Dona Ana and Camilo near Lagos and Silves is well worth a visit. The sunset at Cape Vincent is well worth the drive.

Very good, highly recommend

The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, but not obtrusive. The villa is as described and very comfortable, and the fresh oranges each day were a delight. The villa is well equipped and secluded and we were very comfortable and relaxed. A car is essential, and its a nice area, with plenty of villages and towns within an easy drive with a great variety of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Plenty of places to shop, and the supermarket i Luz will provide pretty much all you will need. The driving was easy in Portugal, people were pleasant, good weather and we had a good time. The place is clean and well maintained, plenty of wildlife in the vicinity, but nothing threatening. All in all, we had a very relaxing stay and would highly recommend.

Second visit, different villa

Spent week here in September 09, having stayed at Horta Avozinha in 2004. Villa Kimbo is very spacious with two living areas and 4 en suite bedrooms, 2 of which are large. Pool is great as is area around, including BBQ cooking and eating area. Grounds are large too and it´s fun to wander around grounds picking fruit- figs and pears this time, loads of oranges and lemons in May/June. Jose lets you help yourself. Whole thing is well looked after and Jose is smiling and welcoming host. Beds in twin room could be more comfortable and kitchen area is very small, particularly for 8. However, this did not stop us enjoying our stay and we did self-cater. Would recommend for family holidays with lots of good restaurants in area. We especially liked the Sand World near Pera.

Villa Kimbo - A quality retreat

Villa Kimbo is everything it says in the brochure. Good facilities. The rooms are spacious, light and airy. The most stunnng feature is the terrace off the living room overlooking the superb pool, surrounded by well kept lawns and shrubs which provide privacy and shelter. The villa is built to a very high standard, with lots of special features such as polished woodwork, beautiful wall and floor tiles. The villa is well-maintained and is kept exceptionally clean with high quality maid service in the middle of the week. Teresa and Jose made us most welcome and we felt confident that should we have needed anything they would be available at any time to assist. As it turned out there were no problems. Not only was the villa an excellent place to rest and relax, but also proved to be a very good base for visiting local attractions. We particularly enjoyed our visits to the nearby beach and restaurants at Burgau - particularly excellent for fish. Silves was well worth the visit as it is such a pretty town. We would recommend this villa to other couples like ourselves, of mature years, seeking privacy and tranquility, and also to families with children would also enjoy, the space, the pool, and the local wildlife. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return some time in the future.

Villa Kimbo

The villa is located in a perfect position for visiting the Western Algarve with its wonderful climate and great beaches and golf courses. It is very peaceful but not too isolated being close to Lagos and Luz which both have good supermarkets with English papers available should you be wanting to keep up. There is a very good restaurant - The Fonteario - in Espiche which is not cheap but is good value for money. The beds are very comfortable which has not been our experience everywhere in Portugal!! There are several golf courses within reasonable driving distance and a car is an absolute must.
