We really enjoyed our stay! This was the second year in a row we stayed here. We didn’t spend a ton of time here during the day but it was a great spot to crash at night and have a nap in the afternoon.
I was a single female traveler and loved the safety of this location. It was clean and comfortable and an easy walk to restaurants and bars. Would recommend
Host was very responsive. Apartment is a little dated but not unexpected in a historical building. Some black out curtains would be nice: the streetlights slip through the vertical blinds. A rug would be nice near the bed. No noise from the street or hall. Great little bar on the first floor. I could not for the life of me figure out how to run the washer and dryer from my phone. A QR code on the box would have been helpful. (And please fix the typos on the sign that provides directions for the washer and dryer:))
We’ve stayed at the Stahl House before, and love how it’s so close to friends and family we visit when we come to town. We enjoy that we can bring our cat, and really enjoy the apartment.
I stayed here 3 years ago and was pleasantly surprised by the upgrades in the hallways and the non smoking in the building. Apartment works great for myself. Very clean and great communication with the owner during my stay.
Stayed here for an overnight down from Minneapolis and it was perfect. Walking distance to the venue and bars/restaurants/coffee shops. Apartment was clean, had the basic necessities, and was a good landing spot. Only issue was dead batteries in the tv remote, but we survived!
This apartment has everything one needs. It was clean and the bed was pretty comfy. It’s in a historical building.

This was a great studio type apartment the is walking distance ot most businesses and the Mayo Clinic Event Center. The wine cafa is a great local spot on the first floor.
Comfortable, clean, easy in and out. Building is currently in the process of renovations. Looking forward to my next visit to see how they further enhance this beautiful structure.
We stayed while visiting family. The apartment itself is super clean and well set up. We were comfortable for the 4 nights we spent and will absolutely look for it the next time we are in town! It was a little hard to find the entrance (keep in mind the amount of Mankato construction was wild and not a reflection on our stay) so when we figured out where we were supposed to be, it was good. Know that there is a bar where the door is and there is smokers on the patio most nights.

Not as expected
Average at best. Building was dated and in need of a refresh. Room was clean but appeared dated as well.
This place has everything you need! right above the wine cafe AND a wine store if you love to drink! It does have an AC unit, which we loved because it did drown out any extra noise. The owners left this on for us when we arrived so it was so nice and cool! They also had an air purifier which was very nice to have. It was so convenient to be able to cook instead of eating out :) Very accomodating!

Everything I expected and more!
Apartment was very clean and laid out very well with lots of lighting options. The air conditioning unit worked well. The location was great with shops and places to eat within walking distance. Remarkably quiet and never heard any of the neighbors. The wine bar on the first floor was so cute and had some sandwiches and things to eat as well. Everyone was very friendly. The only drawback was that I have been used to receiving my entry codes to get in weeks before and then found out it was supposed to be given to me two days before and then it got postponed to the day before, so I was really nervous that everything was going to fall through! Other than that, we loved our stay.
I travel solo to Mankato each year to visit family for Thanksgiving, and always look for a place to stay in that has a kitchen/kitchenette so I can make the mac n' cheese! This little apartment had everything I needed and the CUTEST little stove/oven I have ever seen! I was able to make do with the cookware available so I only had to purchase the ingredients and disposable baking dishes, which was a huge relief!Key points:I love that I was able to control the temperature in my roomThe check-out was very simple and easyKitchenette is so convenientLocation is unique and historicalThe only thing I wish I knew beforehand (and I might have totally just skimmed past this info in the listing,) is that there wasn't an accessible elevator, so I did go up and down the 3 flights of stairs with my luggage in tow. Not a big issue for me but just good to know ahead of time!Thank you guys for providing the perfect little apartment for me, I will be renting again next Thanksgiving!

Nice historic neighborhood
Overall positive except for smoke smelling hallway leading to room
Back entrance hall and metal door needs to be cleaned
Should be aware that there is often live Music outside below room on weekends in warm weather
Would stay again.
We had a lovely time in the apartment above the Wine Cafe. Just be aware, visitors, that you are staying above a bar which closes at 2 am and has an outdoor patio, so if you prefer to sleep with your windows open, you will be hearing the sounds of the fellowship below. Also sirens. Overall it was a very nice stay though.
