Fritz and Suzanne hiking in Canyonlands. We love the Moab area and try to hike as often as possible. We have lots of favorite places to share with our guests. We also love to discover rock art and many of our excursions are centered around the search for the ever elusive petroglyph panel.
Suzanne Lewis purchased this studio in 2008
We live and work in Moab and when we built our home we chose this area of Moab because it is very rural, quiet and has beautiful views.
We really enjoy our privacy and our studio apartment and second room offer plenty of that plus comfort and a very convenient location. We really enjoy our guests and are happy to provide information about the area and we get interesting information from our guests' discoveries. Oscar the Cairn terrier is always ready with a wagging tail!
After driving from West Yellowstone to Moab in one day it was so nice to arrive at this studio vacation rental. We received a warm welcome from Fritz and Oscar the dog. Nice views of the snow capped mountains in the distance. Cozy, private and quiet and if you want to avoid the bustle that downtown Moab has become it is in a great location. We chose this place on vrbo primarily because we were traveling with our own canine companion, but I would not hesitate to stay here under any circumstances. The accommodations were spotless, the refrigerator and shelf stocked with cereals, yogurt, fruit, milk, bread, peanut butter and jam, etc. This is the perfect spot for a single couple or someone traveling alone. As a vacation rental owner, myself, I appreciated the many thoughtful touches. Suzanne and Fritz obviously care that their guests have a pleasant experience and if we ever return to visit Arches National Park again, this will be our first choice. Thank you Suzanne and Fritz. Give Oscar a scratch for us.
My wife and I rented this apartment for the two nights before running "The Other Half" half marathon near Moab. It was the perfect location for us: away from the noise of traffic along the highway that runs through the center of Moab, where most of the hotels are located. Driving south of Moab to this place you must watch carefully to make a left turn onto a poorly marked street, without any prominent land marks to follow. The house is in a semi-rural neighborhood with nice views. Our quarters are attached to the owners house but has a separate entrance and is entirely private. There is a little outdoor sitting area with table & chairs. Inside is everything you need, although an oven would have been useful. The walk-in shower is first class and the queen size bed gave us the sound sleep we needed before the race. The refrigerator was well stocked with breakfast food. Suzanne and Fritz were both friendly and informative. We would definitely recommend this property & rent it again should we return to Moab.
We had a terrific stay at Suzanne & Fritz's home. We were warmly greeted by Oscar the dog and then Suzanne. Our room had French doors that opened to a little patio that we used excessively because the view was just outstanding. One morning we saw three elk grazing nearby. Fritz has a green thumb and the birds just love all of his vegetation. The accommodations made us feel at home. The little fridge was stocked with some apples, tangerines, yogurt, whole-grain bread, butter, peanut butter and jelly, 2% milk, and a couple boxes of cereal on the shelf. The first night we were so tired from being on the road and we didn't want to go into town because it was so crazy, so Suzanne recommended the restaurant down the road, Susie's Branding Iron. It was family oriented. Looked like more of a "local" place. It was perfect for our first night there. We ordered a delivered paradox pizza the second night and it was terrific! We met our neighbor, Sarah, staying in the room next to us and enjoyed some wine on the patio and shared our traveling adventures. She had heard of the B&B through Airbnb. Very cool.
Bed was comfortable, DirectTV, wifi, ceiling fan, good shower.
We were very grateful they accepted our 20lb dog.
We would definitely stay here again if we are passing through Moab.
We enjoyed this quiet, quaint studio.
Everything you need and we were surprised with some nice breakfast items in our fridge.
The room was super clean and very comfortable, the view from the patio was to die for. They were the most welcoming and fun hosts I have ever stayed with! I really just wanted to stay forever! LOL I would definitely stay again on my next trip. The bed was really comfortable with great linens. Bathroom clean and the shower nice. The kitchen was perfect and stocked with necessities. Great stay!!
Moab is in the center of the red rock beauty of Southeast Utah. We are minutes away from Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse State Park. All are a short drive away. Moab is a recreational Mecca. The Colorado river runs through the north side of town and offers peaceful tours through its many canyons or for the more adventurous wild world class Rapids. Biking, jeeping ,canyoneering and you name it are all centered here.
At the end of a long, adventurous day our peaceful, cool covered porch offers amazing sunset views.
