About Tim McMahon
Hi, I'm Tim McMahon. About 12 years ago, my brother Dan, my sister Maureen, and myself, got together and purchased this unique property to enjoy with our family and friends. We would like to share this property with those looking for a one of a kind place where everyone can stay under one roof and enjoy the benefits of the great Northwoods.
Tim McMahon purchased this Lodge in 2007
Why Tim McMahon chose Tomahawk
There is no place more beautiful or where the people are more friendly and welcoming than Northern Wisconsin. Our place is located only about 40 feet from the shores of Lake Alice. The lake level is controlled by King's Dam which only allows a 6' variance throughout the year. Explore the 1300 acre lake or travel 5 miles up the Wisconsin River. The lake is stocked with Muskie, Walleye, Large Mouth Bass, Small Mouth Bass, Crappie, and other delicious game fish. Enjoy the lake year round ice fishing or snowmobiling. Good times never go out of season.
What makes this Lodge unique
13 Bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, large dining room, game room, over-sized kitchen with a commercial 6-burner stove and dual-oven capacity. Enjoy hot dogs and smores over our outdoor fire ring down by the lake or use one of our 3 grills to cookout the meal of a lifetime.

Fantastic family getaway!
Our family of 10 couples and their 5 children rented the lodge for an annual ice fishing trip. The lodge was perfect to accommodate all of us. Brenda had the lodge open for us timely and was finishing some last minute cleaning when we arrived. Tim called on our first night to see how everything was going. He was super great in explaining some of the quirks of the lodge and ensuring we had a pleasant stay. The large dining area was amazing in allowing all of us to eat together and tell stories around the many dining tables. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need for cooking our large family style meals each day. The game room and bar downstairs were a hit for our large group. The karaoke machine was Bluetooth compatible so we were able to connect to our phones and play music as well. The number of bathrooms and showers was unreal! No one ever had to wait in line to use the bathroom. Not having to bring extra linens, blankets, towels, toilet paper, paper towel, etc. was an amazing bonus! We had a couple snowmobile trailers and there was still plenty of parking for all of us. The location is fantastic and allows several great fishing spots. We are already looking forward to next years trip to the Muskie River Lodge. Great place to make memories with family!
A big group of friends and I all get together every January, and this was our first year at the Muskie River Lodge. We loved it! It's definitely a bit rustic, so there are some quirks and oddities that come along with that (electrical issues, minor plumbing issues, etc), but nothing that's unexpected with an older property like this.
We had 18 people there comfortably with room to spare. It made for a fantastic winter getaway! We especially loved the bar and game room in the basement.
Wonderful Family Reunion Facility
Amazing property for large group, family reunion. Lots of space to be together and lots of spaces for small group or individual activities. Great kitchen. Wonderful views. This was our third time here and we are already planning for next year.
Long weekend get away.
Plenty big for 19 people and lots to do for everyone. Could use some TLC but comfortable and well stocked.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Muskie River lodge! We had a large group for a family reunion and everyone loved the house and all the amenities that were available. The kayaks, canoes, paddle boat and paddle board were a huge hit with the little ones (and big ones)! There were also plenty of board games and activities to keep us busy inside the morning it rained. We will be planning a return soon!
