Villa Carla is a spacious and well-equipped 7-bedroom villa with private hydro pool, set within walking distance of the lively market town of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana. Sleeping up to 14 guests, the villa offers generous living space, mountain views and the rare advantage of being able to walk to restaurants, shops and the weekly market.

Set within nearly an acre of private land, the property combines traditional Tuscan features such as chestnut beams and terracotta floors with modern comforts and practical amenities for larger groups. There is a table tennis available for guests to use.

Outdoor Space

The 14 x 6 metre private swimming pool includes a dedicated hydro-massage section and enjoys open views towards the famous Verucole fortress, Apuane Alps and the Serchio Valley. The pool area is furnished with wooden loungers and is open from mid-May to September. Pool towels are provided.

The surrounding garden offers privacy and space for relaxation while remaining close to town.

There are two separate sitting rooms, both equipped with satellite TV. One includes leather sofas, a large-screen TV, DVD player and computer with broadband internet. French doors open onto the patio, creating easy access to outdoor dining.

The main dining room seats 12 to 14 guests at a large chestnut wood table. The fully equipped kitchen includes traditional and microwave ovens, dishwasher, refrigerator and a breakfast table for 6 to 8 guests. A second fully equipped kitchen with additional dining space provides flexibility for larger groups.

The lively weekly market sells fashion, household goods, flowers, fruit and vegetables and is a real local event.

Garfagnana is often described as “Hidden Tuscany” at its best. The landscape is dramatic and unspoilt, defined by the Apuane Alps, forested ridges, river valleys and medieval hilltop villages. From Villa Carla you enjoy wide views across the Serchio Valley towards Monte Alfonso Fortress, with particularly beautiful light in the late afternoon.
