Perfect for a Couple's Getaway
My husband and I are from SW Ohio and desperately needed a budget friendly getaway with our 3yr old. This was a perfect fit located in a nice neighborhood across from a cute little park next to the bay! Terry was so great to deal with, as were all of the locals everywhere we went- it was refreshing to find people that are so courteous and friendly, which unfortunately is becoming more rare these days. The location was great for checking out all of the beautiful Gulf Coast beaches. We visited every beach between Turtle Beach (located below Siesta Key) and Clearwater! The sunset was gorgeous regardless of which beach it was viewed from. The whitest sand can be found in Siesta Key, Treasure Island and Clearwater. It's like walking on powdered sugar! Everything you could want or need is within a 20 minute drive from the apartment including a classic car museum, the Ringling Museum, Jungle Gardens, Pirate Putt-putt, and so many fantastic restaurants, pubs, etc. Personally we loved Cody's Roadhouse near Bradenton, Captain Curt's and the Daiquiri Deck located in Siesta Key for dinner and after dinner deliciousness! Paradise Grill located on St Petersburg beach has THE best burgers- or at least sitting outdoors at the beach eating them sure made it seem that way! The Breakfast House near Lido Beach was an amazing choice to get the day going. Being in Sarasota, we were only 1 hour from Tampa and 2hrs from Orlando. If you don't mind the drive, Busch Gardens and Sea World are entertaining and so much fun regardless of age! If you are looking for a wild old Florida experience with lots of birds and alligators, there are a ton of options like the Myakka River State Park East of Sarasota that offer airboat rides and canopy walks in the trees. Regardless of what you are looking for, you can't go wrong staying here!
The location was good while searching for an area to move to. The area is quiet and felt safe. The only drawback for some may be there is no dishwasher, I enjoy washing by hand so it was no problem.
Perfect for two!
We had a wonderful stay the week of my nephew's wedding. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood a short drive from the airport, we enjoyed the restaurants and movie theater just a short drive to Main St./downtown. The quaint upstairs apartment is ideal for two. If I had to think of one improvement it would be the addition of a full length mirror in the living area to make getting ready a little easier. Terry was very friendly and accommodating and we would definitely book this apartment again! Thank you for a worry-free place to stay.
Quiet, nice and clean
Nice place, clean, close to everything , nice safe neighborhood, very quiet, would stay here again and refer it to friends.
Terry’s place worked out perfectly for us. Close to where we needed to be, and we thoroughly enjoyed being right by the bay. We really didn’t cook, but it was great to have a kitchen for breakfast foods and coffee. Thanks for being great hosts!
