Wonderful week in Mimizan

A lovely laid back place to stay, close to the lake, friendly golf course, and delightful cycle path to the beach area. Cottage is full of charm, character and history. Owners super helpful too!

Short but satisfying holiday

Rented out house Camelia for a week for our first holiday with the pup. The house has everything you need and is easily accessible. It has a big (shared) garden, which the dog loved massively. You will need a car however to travel around the area Close by you can play a game of golf or take a stroll along the lake. In town there's a large supermarket and most basic shops. The sea side is only 5-10 minutes drive away. In the surrounding area there's plenty of small villages, each with their own weekly market. The only thing we would've liked to have seen was maybe a list of nearby markets and dates in the surrounding area. Overall it was a very enjoyable holiday and the entire family was happy!

Wir hatten zwei wunderbare Wochen in dem sehr schönen Ferienhaus. Es ist wirklich alles da, was man braucht! Sehr netter Empfang und die Lage ist herrlich - der See, nur ein paar Minuten vom Haus entfernt, ist sehr idyllisch. Top!

Maison au bord du lac

Calme et tranquillité

Nous avons passé de super vacances! Au calme pendant 10jours, la maison est au top et dispose de tout ce dont on a besoin. Proche du lac (a 2 min à pied), de belles balades avec ou sans chien sont a faire. L'océan est assez proche en voiture. Notre chiot Ulysse a apprécié le grand jardin partagé avec les voisins , il a pu profiter au maximum comme nous. L'accueil de Monique était parfait et elle était disponible en cas de besoin. Merci aux propriétaires pour la bouteille de vin comme cadeau d'accueil 😊. Bref si vous voulez passer des vacances au calme, avec des chouettes balades et l'océan proche, foncez vous ne le regretterez pas 👍

Un havre de paix dans un écrin de verdure

Les photos étaient déjà très explicites mais la réalité encore plus belle. Le gîte est particulièrement confortable et joliment décoré. Les propriétaires présents mais discrets. Et très sympathiques. Je suis venue avec mon chien qui a trouvé un grand terrain entièrement clôturé. Le lac tout proche permet de faire des belles balades sans prendre la voiture. Le super marché est à 5 mn ( en voiture !) les plages à 10 mn, et la forêt landaise avec ses nombreuses randonnées tout autours de maison camélia. Et pour les golfeurs, il n'y a que la route à traverses ! Je m'y suis sentie tellement bien que j'y reviendrais cet automne.

Sehr erholsamer Urlaub

Das Objekt ist schön gelegen - allein und nicht in einer Siedlung. Es ist eine Doppelhaushälfte, aber von den Nachbarn haben wir nichts gehört. Gute Schalldämmung! Anders als in vielen Ferienhäusern, die wir kennen, waren hier die Küchenmesser scharf und die Pfannen gut beschichtet, so dass man gut kochen konnte. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter lief super. Die Verwalterin vor Ort, Mme L., ist total nett und hilfsbereit. Der Garten, den man mit den Nachbar teilt, ist groß, man hat eine gemauerte Grillstelle und kann das Auto vor dem Haus parken. Nur zwei kleinere Sachen haben den Gesamteindruck getrübt: Für Lebensmittel gibt es in der Küche keinen Schrank, sondern nur zwei kleine Regalbretter und das Internet ist sehr langsam (lt. eigener Messung 1.5 MBit/s). Da dauert es schon recht lange, bis die Fotos des Tages in die Cloud geladen sind. Insgesamt hat es uns sehr gut gefallen und wir würden das Haus wieder nehmen, wenn wir in die Gegend kommen.

Kann man machen

Objekt ist in Ordnung, Kommunikation vor Ort gut und zuverlässig. Ein kaputter Sonnenschirm wurde sofort und sehr unkompliziert ausgetauscht. Wir waren anfangs etwas überrascht, dass man sich den Garten mit den Nachbarn teilt, die quasi direkt nebenan wohnen. Das ging aus der Beschreibung und den Fotos für uns so nicht hervor, war aber okay. Der Ort Mimizan hat wenig zu bieten und ist kein Schmuckstück, der Gestank der Papierfabrik war abends gelegentlich auch an der Wohnung zu riechen, dann jedoch nur für einige Minuten. Das Meer und der Strand sind sehr zu empfehlen, mit dem Auto in 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Klarer Pluspunkt! Direkt am Strand gibt es mehrere Restaurants. Das passt. Toll auch, dass der große See direkt am Haus liegt. Räder oder Boote muss man sich aber leihen. Unterm Strich: Wir haben einen schönen Urlaub verbracht. Merci!

Estuvimos muy, muy agusto. La casa es pequeñita pero encantadora y está muy bien cuidada. El sitio es fantástico y también la posibilidad de comer en el jardín y usar la barbacoa. Llevábamos casi 30 años yendo a Mimizan y aunque teníamos ciertas dudas por tener que cambiar de casa, la verdad es que ha sido un acierto. ¡Además de vuestro recibimiento y el trato tan amable que nos habéis dado! Muchísimas gracias!

Séjour agréable et reposant

Nous avons été accueillis très gentiment par Monique, la personne en charge pour nous montrer la maison. L’endroit est très agréable et bien situé. A proximité promenade autour du lac, proche du jardin fleuri et de la forêt. La mer est à 10 minutes et les commerçants centre Leclerc, boulangerie etc a 5 minutes en voiture.
