Wonderful in Summer

  • 5 of 5

We loved our time here. What a great place to relax. The views were huge, both inside the condo and from the large decks...great for watching the tides, waves, and wildlife (easy to spot eagles and whale spouts). The condo is modern, spacious, well-fitted, and very clean. We enjoyed having such amenities as the fireplace, spa tub, laundry, and wi-fi...all worked well. Just steps out the door, you can be on the beach, or on the fabulous Wild Pacific Trail, which made for easy spur-of-the-moment outings. While the Pacific Rim National Park is certainly a draw for the area, we found the public Wild Pacific Trail to be a surprise gem, and did repeat visits at various times of the day, for unbeatable coastal vistas, tide pool exploring, whale-spotting, wave-crashing, eagles, photo-ops. Likewise for Ucluelet: While we did go to Tofino a couple of times to poke around, we were quite happy to be staying in "Ukee", which has its own share of nice amenities, eateries, and a couple of finer restaurants, without as much of the touristy feel. Let me add, though, that we played this vacation very low-key just to relax, but for the adventure seekers, there are plenty of options in the area...more rigorous hikes, kayaking, surfing, fishing, etc. The only thing we don't like about this location is that it is two days' travel from where we live! But we do hope to return someday. The property manager was a delight to work with and made everything easy. It was a great property in a gorgeous location making for a perfect getaway.

A Truly Amazing Oceanfront Property

  • 5 of 5

The views were beyond stunning. From the kitchen, living room main deck, master bedroom, and upper deck you always had a commanding view of the open ocean! The house is well maintained and has quality appliances. We were a family of five (three boys 5, 9 and 11 years old) and we loved it. Plenty of room for everyone, although they were outside at the tide pools most of the time anyways.

PNW gem

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at this beautiful place - the title Beachfront Home Escape is a perfect name! The townhouse was clean and well stocked with everything you need to enjoy it. We cooked in most evenings and there is nothing better than enjoying that view from the open kitchen while cooking dinner. The grill is slightly small but worked just fine. The upper and lower deck are truly amazing - this is our definition of serenity and relaxation. Our family of 4 (two adults and two children, ages 11 and 14) all found it to be the perfect get away. Plus - Tofino and Ucluelet area are great outdoor exploration areas. You walk out the door and you can access the Wild Pacific Trail. Our children loved bouldering around on the rocky coast in front of the home, exploring shipwreck beach, and watching the tide go in and out. We explored Tofino for Canada Day celebrations and hikes in and out of beach areas and around the lighthouse. Zoe's Bakery in Ucluelet for bread, coffee, and pastries was FABULOUS! A great little treat on our way out of Ucluelet, wish we had discovered it earlier. We also got fresh fish from Fishful Thinking in Ucluelet to bring home and grill at the place - it was also amazing. We ate out one night at Fetch at Black Rock Beach Resort, which was good. Easy walk from the house, same great view, and the food was good. We loved this place and highly recommend. We can't wait to go back!

Great place to chill...

  • 4 of 5

Perfect place to run/watch the Edge marathon. Enjoyed the peace and tranquility - the unit was very warm and homey - well furnished. Great access to trails for some mini trekking, and easy walk to downtown restaurants.

Breathtaking view

  • 4 of 5

What a great location for an escape. The weather cooperated for all but one day we were there. The access to great hikes and beautiful scenery make this Condo a great find. It was too big for two of us, but the views made it tough to pass up. You have everything you need for your stay. The Condo is close to all the great hiking spots and close enough to Tofino to explore the hikes in the Pacific Rim Park. Although we typically don't go back to the same place twice (too much to see in this world)...we'd come back to Ucluelet!
