This quality, stone-built cottage has panoramic views towards Embleton Bay and can sleep eight people in four bedrooms. Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.

High Hemmel House is a quality, stone-built cottage with panoramic views towards Embleton Bay and can sleep eight people. There is a ground floor super king-size double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a double bedroom with TV and en-suite shower room leading to a twin bedroom, a twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room, an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburner and an understairs cupboard housing the washing machine. Note: The swimming pool is available for all guests staying in our 13 cottages and 4 apartments. Guests must go to the pool entrance area to sign up for the swimming slots they would like to use, using their property name. Each stay is allocated a number of slots, 7 night stay - 5 slots, 5 night stay - 3 slots,3 night stay - 2 slots. The same time slot is not available to each property each day. Outside there is ample off road parking, a patio with furniture and a hot tub and a shared children’s play area on the cottage complex. High Hemmel House is a lovely holiday base.

Amenities: LPG central heating with woodburner. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, American fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, Smart TV, DVD, CD, radio, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Please note: if requiring more logs will need to be purchased independently. Own matches will need to be brought. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair. EV charger onsite. Ample off road parking. Patio with furniture and hot tub. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 1 mile. Shared children's play area on cottage complex. Beach 1 mile. Note: Beach is accessed via owner's land. Note: One twin bedroom only accessed through first floor double bedroom. Note: As hot tub is emptied and cleaned before the start of each stay, hot tub may not be up to temperature at time of arrival. Hot tub can not be used between the hours of 11pm -7am. Note: The swimming pool is available for all guests staying in our 13 cottages and 4 apartments. Guests must go to the pool entrance area to sign up for the swimming slots they would like to use, using their property name. Region: Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Town: The village of Embleton can be traced back to beyond medieval times and during the Wars of the Roses, it suffered much from the ravages of Scottish invaders. Today, ancient castles and ruins stand testament to Embleton's turbulent past; the Church of Holy Trinity is a late-Norman church, dating from the 12th century, later to be restored in Victorian times. Viewed from the sea, the undulating whinstone ridge that shelters much of the village from east winds, resembles a caterpillar, hence the old name 'Emeldune', meaning the hill of the caterpillar. The rolling countryside means that golfers can enjoy a good 18-hole links golf course that overlooks the beautiful Embleton Bay. Recently launched is the Embleton Heritage Trails Project, consisting of six trails, ranging from a short walk around the village, to a longer six mile route, following the spectacular coastline and inland into the tranquil countryside.
