Romantic Rural Getaway for Two - spacious, luxury one-bedroomed cottage

Ideally positioned just 25 minutes from pretty towns and villages such as Looe, Polperro, Whitsand, Seaton and Downderry; and just five minutes from the peace, tranquility and spectacular views of the moors and Cornish mining heritage! A perfect bolthole to get away from it all, a romantic hideaway, a perfect base from which to explore - whatever it is you're looking for, this is a gem! Clinically clean and in a secluded, private area we offer an ideal escape from the world!
We are close to many stunning historic houses and gardens such as Cotehele and Lanhydrock. Lots of lovely walking areas are close by - open moorland areas, beautiful wooded areas like Cardinham where you can hire bikes and of course the famous Cornish Coastal path.
We are also only 12 minutes drive from St. Mellion International Resort which offers 2 world class golf course and a lovely leisure and spa facility.
Silver Arrow is a property adjoining the owners. We keep a discrete distance, respecting our visitors’ privacy but on hand to help and advise. We have a lovely garden which we encourage you to enjoy!

Perfect for couples

We needed self-catering accommodation for two in the Callington area that also had two toilets (yes we're at a certain age). Silver Arrow fitted the bill perfectly. All mod cons, cosy and warm (it was mid December) and beautifully fitted out. Clear directions and Judith and Martin were so helpful. Can recommend with out hestitation.

Absolutely brilliant cottage and hosts

We had two fantastic week's staying in the Silver arrow cottage,we wanted for nothing.Everything you could need was supplied and all great quality.The owners Judith and Snowy encouraged us to treat the place as home and were there with suggestions and recommendations of needed.This is the best holiday let we have stayed in and the owners two of the nicest most genuine people you could meet and we certainly want to return and can not recommend enough. Five star accommodation in beautiful setting

Having just spent a wonderful few days in Silver Arrow we can’t praise it highly enough. We only wish we could have stayed longer, and will definitely be going back. The attention to detail with regards furniture, fittings and cleanliness is amazing and it’s setting stunning. Judith and Snowy the owners are so friendly and welcoming with a mine of local information to help you enjoy your stay. You are free to make full use of the beautiful gardens with it’s many seating areas overlooking open countryside. A real treasure of a find

A wonderful week

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable week in Cornwall. The accommodation was very comfortable and Judith and her husband were great hosts. We thank you for your suggestions of places to explore in the local area, which offers plenty to see and do. April was a great time to visit, especially for the bluebells. A lovely place to stay.

A peaceful gem in South East Cornwall

The stunning setting of Silver Arrow was equalled only by the warm and friendly welcome of our hosts. The well-equipped cottage was immaculate and beautifully presented, with the highest standard of attention to detail from the sparkling level of cleanliness to the fluffy towels and little personal touches such as Cornish goodies on arrival. We stayed five nights and would happily have stayed longer! We couldn’t recommend the accommodation highly enough, and also wish to extend a big thank you, not only to our hosts but also to Vrbo for their professionalism and customer care.

Simply a lovely quiet luxury cottage.

When we entered the property it was a wow....photographs on the website don't do it justice. We were welcomed by Snowy and Judith, who were very friendly and invited us to treat the house and gardens like home. We took advantage one beautiful evening and sat in the garden with a glass of Champagne...it was very special. Snowy popped across with two champagne flutes for us to use which was very thoughtful. We should have booked a longer stay!

Amazing!

Fantastic experience end-to-end. The property exceeded expectation - luxurious, clean and comfortable. Everything you could want or need is there. The rest of the grounds are stunning and we were looked after wonderfully by Judith and Snowy who were the nicest people you could expect to meet. Great quiet location with many places within driving distance. Highly recommended!

A wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at Silver Arrow Cottage. Located in a beautiful, peaceful and rural setting and a great base for day trips to Cornwall’s north and south coasts and central region. The cottage was beautifully restored and presented, very comfortable, clean, with modern conveniences, and the use of solar power was inspirational! Fantastic accommodation in a beautiful setting, and we look forward to a return visit.

Highly recommended with superb accommodation and friendly welcoming hosts.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week staying here which was both relaxing and comfortable. The hosts Judith and snowy were really welcoming, relaxed and friendly. Some beautiful walks in the local area and although some driving to get to the best beaches the tranquility of the property made those drives worthwhile. Would highly recommend the property to others.

A Happy Accident

We thought we had booked to stay in St Ives but when we put the postcode into our SatNav we realised we’d made a mistake. :) However, when we got there we soon found that this was a happy accident. The hosts Judith and Snowy are lovely. Friendly and helpful. The accommodation is just perfect. Clean and modern. The grounds that it’s set on is beautiful, lovely gardens and views.. Can’t praise Silver Arrows more. Would definitely book it again and we’re going to recommend it to our friends.

Comfortable Cottage in an ideal location with friendly owners

My wife and I rented Silver Arrow Cottage for the week 21st to 28th December 2017. We received a warm welcome from the owner Snowy Smith who introduced us to the amazing green energy innovations which he and his wife Judith have incorporated into the cottage. Silver Arrow is clean and comfortable and an ideal and quiet base for exploring the delights of Cornwall. Liskeard, Looe, Polperro, Bodmin , Fowey and Truro are all within a short, easy drive. We were able to take full advantage of this even in the shortest days of the year. The finishing touches to our stay were that Snowy and Judith had taken time to put up festive decorations and provide a panettone cake! We will have no hesitation in recommending this property to friends planning a holiday in Cornwall at any time of year.

Exceptional cottage and hospitality.

From the moment we arrived, and were greeted by Judith and Snowy we new that we had been fortunate with our choice of cottage. Judith showed us the main points and made it obvious that guest satisfaction was the aim of herself and Snowy. The cottage was clean, warm and well decorated: if it wasn't for the lack of fresh paint smell, we could have believed that it had been refurbished just prior to our arrival. The following day I had a chat with Snowy beside the well tended garden and he gave me an insight into the 'green' aspects that they have designed into their project, including solar power generation and solar water heating. Judith and Snowy went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed, and the freedom to enjoy our break. If anyone is looking for a cottage holiday in east Cornwall/west Devon, then look no further.

Hi, I'm Judith; co-owner of Silver Arrow Cottage. My husband and I bought the property in 2007 when it was a derelict mining building. We spent 4 years converting it into our home and this cottage. It was a labour of love and we are very proud of what we achieved. The building is eco-friendly and benefits from the latest technology in insulation. It is heated with a ground-source heatpump and we have solar pv and solar thermal panels. It's a little bit of luxury and just goes to prove that comfort doesn't cost the earth!
