Short stay early March
We enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Byre. The house is comfortable and it is nice to settle down with a glass of wine near the wood burning stove. John and Jackie are very helpful and welcoming. Ardnamurchan is wild and beautiful. We had two dry and windy days and enjoyed Sanna Bay.
Home from home
Lovely base to explore the local
Cosy accommodation, warm, clean and a log burner. John (owner) was very accommodating and friendly.
Local hotel did lovely food with friendly staff and locals.
Beautiful views from the cottage of Mull.
Would definitely recommend a holiday in The Byrne.
Many thanks for your lovely comments.

Beautiful place had a great holiday there with my wife and dog great scenery lovely walks nice hotel lovely coffee in the wee cafe
the byre was just perfect for us quaint well set out great place to relax inside or out in the garden the weather was kind to us so we
made the best of it going to the lighthouse is a must Sanna beach is beautiful park up a couple of miles from it and do the walk through the hills if you can pretty gentle walk with lovely scenery and spectacular end when you reach the hill behind the beautiful white sands of Sanna beach it really is stunning and don,t be surprised if your the only ones there we were.Take the ferry to Tobermory for a nice day out in Mull. Lots to do if you like going for walks and watching nature on the shore about 400 yards from the byre there,s a seal colony i loved going down there just sitting watching the seals and they seemed to like watching me from the water about forty of them. Kilchoan is beautiful.
Wonderful Relaxing Kilchoan Ardnamurchan
A wonderful corner of the world. Peaceful, wild, wonderful.
The Byre is comfortably set out, John had the stove running before we arrived to a warm welcome.
Lovely garden and views over to the sea.
John's local knowledge lead us to some wonderful, stunning, wildlife in the local area and bay.
Close by is the wonderful Sana Bay and dramatic volcanic hills.
Good for the local shop, coffee house and pub which also offers some really good takeaways.
Close to the local ferry to Mull
Can't wait to return
The cottage is quirky and has a lot of potential. However it is overfull of un-nessessary furniture and ornaments. It is tired and in need of an update. New bed linen and towels should be a priority. There are too many make shift repairs. There was no heating in the bathroom.
