The Riverview Suite

The Riverview Suite is the only suite on the second level, boasting stunning views of the Kalamazoo River and lush natural landscapes. The suite features a bedroom with a queen-size bed, private bath with shower and the living room with mini-refrigerator and a sectional sofa large enough to sleep a third guest. The suite is stocked with games, puzzles, and cozy places for reading and watching television. Luxury, privacy and hospitality await you.

The Property
A warm attitude of hospitality welcomes you to Taste on the Lakeshore. The property features a private dock with FREE use of canoes and kayaks, fishing on the Kalamazoo River, large fire pit on the patio, and herb and flower gardens to enjoy. Our facilities are arranged for a romantic stay.
• Free on-site parking.
• Coffee, tea and snacks are available in the 24-hour Guest Pantry.
• Price includes a Full English breakfast. Complimentary wine and snacks are available in the late afternoon.
• Laundry available.
• Not suitable for children under 12.

Guest Access
The Riverview Suite requires mobility up and down one flight of stairs.
Minimum Stay
The Riverview Suite requires a two-day minimum stay booking.
During Your Stay
Dennis and Jim live on the property in the Owners’ Suite and are available and willing to assist with itineraries, local information, and other recommendations. Each suite in Taste on the Lakeshore has a complete Guest’s Guidebook to the community and surrounding areas. Both owners have distinguished backgrounds in the hospitality industry, culinary arts, and higher education. They look forward to helping you create lasting memories of Western Michigan while respecting your need for privacy.

Beautiful getaway

Jim and Dennis were awesome and interesting hosts with a beautiful house on the water. My daughter and I loved the peace and the breakfasts were amazing!

Fantastic stay

What a great place to relax and unwind. Very welcoming hosts, fantastic breakfast and of course, Rudy is the perfect host dog. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to stay again.

Wonderful place to stay

This is a wonderful B and B to choose if you are staying in the Saugatuck area. The home is beautiful, the breakfasts are delicious and the location is close to anywhere you might visit in the area. The hosts were the best part of the stay; pleasant and attentive but respectful of your space and privacy as well. We will definitely be back!

Welcoming and Serene Setting

Perfect weekend getaway!

Everything from the location to the incredible hospitality were phenomenal! Dennis and Jim were welcoming and gracious hosts. The room was clean and cozy, the breakfasts were restaurant quality, and the views from the backyard were so relaxing. We would love to stay here again, and I will easily recommend this listing for anyone looking to stay in the area.

Most amazing place ever

From the hosts to the beautiful property it was the best rental we have ever stayed at It could not have been any better. Breakfast in the mornings was amazing. The views were stunning. Wanted to stay forever!

Lovely stay

The property and the view are lovely. Dennis and Jim were gracious hosts. Breakfast was delicious. Happy hour was a nice treat. And it’s really close to Saugatuck/Douglas. I’ve already booked my next stay.

Relaxing riverfront with kayaking and beautiful view!

Jim and Dennis (and Rudy!) are wonderful hosts. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and beautifully plated. The location is lovely and so relaxing and the kayaking is great there. We would definitely recommend this peaceful and welcoming home.

Wonderful!

My husband and I came to stay for our anniversary and had an amazing time! The property is so peaceful and comfortable, and just a short drive from all the shops and restaurants in the area. Dennis and Jim were so kind and accommodating - and breakfast was delicious! We would definitely return!

A 5 star stay

The setting of the house is beautiful along the river. I wish we had more time to enjoy the yard and gardens but there was so much to do in nearby Saugatuck, Douglas, Fennville, and Holland since the location is central to all these areas. Our suite and the 2nd floor were relaxing and very clean. Jim and Dennis are superb hosts and breakfast every morning was like eating at a 5 star restaurant-chef’s kiss! We’ll be back!

Perfect getaway!

Beautiful home inside and out. We enjoyed using the on-site kayaks, sitting by the fire pit at night and the beautiful sunrises over the river. Dennis and Jim have thought about every detail to make our stay special. Breakfast was a special treat we looked forward to each morning.

An excellent location to relax and unwind

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at Taste on the Lakeshore. Dennis and Jim are well deserving of their Super Hosts designation. They served exceptional breakfasts with fresh fruit each morning and provided spot-on recommendations for places to eat and interesting activities in the area. The spacious and comfortable accommodations coupled with the tranquil landscaped grounds on the water were a welcome retreat.

Perfect hideaway

My wife and I had the entire 2nd floor all to ourselves. The home is immaculate and the furnishings are very unique. The hosts are most accommodating for anything needed and are super knowledgeable about anything in the area for sightseeing, dining, etc

Beautiful view of the river. So quiet and peaceful. The kayak ride was fun so much fun. Easy access to all of surrounding attractions. The place is immaculately clean, breakfast is fit for for a king, everything up to date and first-rate. Well worth the money.

Fabulous Stay at Taste on the Lakeshore

Lovely place

Jim and Dennis are the perfect hosts. This is a beautiful peaceful setting. Our suite was decorated with wonderful art, it had a comfortable bed and a big walk in shower. We had a delicious breakfast in the morning and an afternoon treat of drinks and appetizers. We are definitely going back.

Fantastic

We absolutely loved this place. We will definitely return. The hosts were very helpful. The setting was perfect for us with the patio and gardens with beautiful views of the river and wildlife.
