Ett generöst bostadsomrÄde ligger ett stenkast frÄn stranden och strÀcker sig över förhöjda dÀck bland trÀdtopparna. Ett lugnt dubbelrum sover över en skyddad trÀdgÄrd ...(en soffa / sÀng i vardagsrummet ger sovplats för 2). Bach Àr mycket solig och varm men i en storm finns det komforten i en mysig öppen spis.

Bach Àr en tvÄ minuters promenad frÄn ingÄngen till Queen Elizabeth Park och dess magnifika kustbana (perfekt för en lugn promenad, en cykeltur eller en snabb 10k-körning). I byn Àr Paekakariki Cafe en matglÀdje för frukost och lunch; och en deli, bokhandel och litet konstgalleri slutför scenen.

Very nice place to stay. Clean and tidy. Nice big windows that looked out onto trees all around. Couches were comfy to sleep on. Kitchen and bathroom modern and in good order. Handy for the beach, playground and Queen Elizabeth Park. Would definitely stay again.

Always a great stay

We keep coming back. Just the best of places for a couple to stay in Paekakariki. So spacious and well equipped that having guests in for a meal or get together is an easy option.

Always a great stay

We have stayed here many times and always enjoy the experience. Plenty of space, comfortable (including the bed),inviting, well equipped, close to the beach and pretty much spot on in every respect. We will keep coming back.

Lovely weekend

We enjoyed our stay very much. Although suburban Tangahoe felt secluded. Even though the wind was cold, the decks were very pleasant with the sun out, and the trees kept the wind (especially the southerly) away.

Wonderful stay at Melling Morse designed bach

We had a wonderful stay at this cosy architecturally designed bach. It was better in real life than the photos. Super sunny during the day and we loved putting on the fire in the evenings as the sun went down. Well appointed with everything needed. Margaret was excellent to deal with and responded to all our messages promptly. Thank you for sharing this special place with us.

nice stay on Karapiti coast

For two persons, the bach has all it takes. The location is splendid, both for going to the beach or for walks. The proximity to the station and for regional train transportation is also a bonus because it makes a trip to the capital city very convenient.

Wonderful beach holiday

Perfect beach retreat, close to beach, coffee and bike trails. Comfortable, warm, sunny, well resourced and surrounded by trees and birds. Having our dog with us was a bonus. Host very responsive to questions.

Peaceful hideaway

Extremely quiet. Loved the trees and the bird song. Great shower and comfy bed. Essential in my book. Very well equiped with everthing you could need. Great walks nearby and close to the village

Summer Fun

We are a small family of 3 and one wee rescue Boston Terrier. We are from Tauranga and wanted a base for Wellington and surrounding areas. We had the best weather and Tangahoe was perfect for days on the beach reading, biking (electric lol) the train into Wellington and a close drive to visit with extended family. Extremely good value for money, clean and tidy. We could of used a bigger fridge for our 7 day stay. Also have to say the best coffee at the Parrot Cafe and cinnamon scroll from the bakery next door. No problems with this property that couldn't be solved by reading the info package (doh!). No views of the beach or the sea, but a very easy and quick 2 minute walk to the beach.
