Uniquely designed post and beam construction house held together with wooden dowels, built from massive Cypress beams and New Zealand Native grown Red Beech and Matai flooring. Sheep's Wool insulation and solar water heating further gives this holiday house a true eco-home feel.
Many comforts too,leather lounge suite, comfortable beds and pure wool luxury carpets through out.Live for a while in one of the prettiest places in the world.

A perfect holiday stay, even if the weather is rough.
Glenorchy House is a perfect base, as it is situated in the midst of mountains, lakes and rivers. Ideal for those interested in fishing, hunting, jet-boating, water-skiing, tramping or just chilling out.

A stunning home.

A quiet location away from the busy part of Glenorchy. We enjoyed having a fire each night, plenty of wood was available. A spaceous home with plenty of room to work and relax. The design with its exposed timber beams adds to the character of the home.

This was the perfect property or 7 old friends for a week of walking and soaking in Glenorchy gorgeousness. Such a beautiful part of the world. We enjoyed or morning coffee at Mrs Woollys .The house had everything we needed for self catering. We were glad we stocked up on supplies Pack and Save near the airport as food supplies are limited at Glenorchy.There are beautiful views from the house living areas and two of the bedrooms. The host was always responsive.

Quiet retreat in Glenorchy

Glenorchy was a hidden jem. About 50 minutes from Queenstown but still lots to do in terms of hiking and outdoor adventure. There a free golf xourse course with clubs.

Beautiful home with gorgeous views

We were winding down a two week visit in New Zealand and needed a place to stay for one evening. It was a great way to wind down from our trip and prepare for the long flight back to the US. We would recommend this home to everyone to stay as we enjoyed our stay very much.
