About this property

THE BEST LOCATED HOUSE ON THE KARIKARI PENINSULA

Our beautifully modern built home, is in the BEST location you can find on the Karikari peninsula. It is situated in the middle of Doubtless bay,Tokerau Beach, with a minutes walk to the beautiful beach, which is fabulous for swimming, diving, and fishing. A boat can be launched off the beach. There are tuatuas to be found and sand dunes for the kids to play in.

Once you have had a play and swim in the sea, you can walk 2 minutes to the famous coca-cola lake, (named because of its unusual colour -has to be seen to be believed), for a refreshing swim!

Our home is a 15 minute drive to the famous Carrington Winery and golf course, and 10 minutes to the quaint fishing town of Mangonui. For a change of scenery there is the gorgeous Matai bay, 20 minutes drive, which is great for snorkeling.

For the children, if the sea and lake are not enough, we are situated near a forest which is great for hut making and treasure hunts!

An adult and child's paradise with a beautiful home to suit!. We absolutely love living here and know anyone holidaying here will love it too!

We loved our stay! Fabulous location at the quieter end of Tokerau beach. House was all we needed, fully equipped and lovely to have linen and towels provided to make our stay that much easier! We had young children stay and they had a blast. Hosts have been amazing and super helpful.

Fabulous base to enjoy Karikari Peninsula

We all loved our stay at this lovely house. Fiona was very prompt in her responses and a pleasure to deal with. The place reflect the photos. It's spacious, clean, and a great base to explore Karikari Peninsula. Has great wi-fi which the teens appreciated; the beds are comfortable; kitchen has everything you would need, and the neighbours were friendly and approachable. Would stay again. Well appointed, the best house on Ramp Rd. So close to the lake as well as being beach facing. Good local shop. Fiona was great to deal with, we had a fantastic Xmas. Would definitely recommend.

This house is perfect for a family with it's proximity to the lake and the ocean. The house is just the upper level as the bottom level is another residence but there is still plenty of room for a large group. We enjoyed the views from the expansive deck but it was a shame that there was fire ban as we would have loved to use the outdoor open fire. We would recommend this property for a stay at the quiet end of Tokerau with thoughtful and accommodating hosts.

Lovely, comfortable house

We had a wonderful time here. The house is very close to the beach. Apart from the splendid view you can also hear the sea when the windows are open. The interior is tasteful and in excellent conditon, the kitchen very well appointed. The master bedroom is comfy and has a good shower. We can highly recommend this place.

The location was fantastic, absolute beachfront - I can see why Fiona & the family live there permanently. Very quiet and out of the hustle and bustle of New Year crowds. The beach was amazing, often we were the only people on it, even on New Years Day!

A great spot.

A great spot. The remoteness from the holiday crowds was very relaxing. Like having your own private beach. And lake. And forest for the kids to explore in. Having the the stereo wired to optional outdoor speakers was a big plus too.
