Be active, be a sloth, visit the wildlife in the Catlins or the wineries in Alexandra. Gorge yourself on stone fruit in Roxburgh or swim in the school pool on site. It's all here in Beaumont. Only one hour from Dunedin Airport.

Peaceful and relaxing

Fantastic property with a young family. Fully fenced in property for the kids. Great communication with Anna. Looks small on the outside but bigger on the inside. Well set up for a family holiday

Fun place with lots of space

Fun quirky place to stay, heaps of room and bed options. We used the Chromecast to watch a movie and looked through the great book collection, and had a nice walk over the bridge to the Beaumont hotel for dinner. Remember to bring food for the next day as there are no shops in the area.

Basic with plenty of space. Good for sewing retreat.

Swimming pool needs to be taken off website as not useable. Some sheets not clean - lucky we bought our own. Great to have extra trestle tables provided for sewing. Good supply of firewood. Great meals available at Baumont Hotel. Would stay again.

I am really sorry to hear the sheets were not clean! Can you please describe the issue, they were washed, so it does need investigating. I thought I had removed the swimming pool I am sorry, will check again. Thanks Anna

Comfortable unique spacious warm

Can recommend this accommodation for a quirky comfortable holiday. Whilst we were there in the summer the weather was miserable as it was everywhere and the fire made our stay cosy and warm. Lovely facilities anything and everything you could need. Lots of lovely places to visit nearby but take a few friends and just stay put. Looks like a great waterhole in the nearby river. Visits to Lawrence and up to miller’s flat and Roxburgh were excellent excursions . Great place to take children I would imagine.

Unique bach in a great location

One of the most unique and interesting bachs we've stayed in, really enjoyed it. The huge grounds are fantastic for kids and dogs. The Clutha Gold and Millenium trails are right on the doorstep. Definitely worth checking out!

Perfect Accomodation ⭐️

We had a wonderful whānau holiday at Beaumont School. It was lovely to stay in a place with so much history. The School has been sympathetically converted so it still has the Old School feel and everything you need for comfort too. We Loved our stay - thank you

Enjoyable stay

A lovely quaint property, really enjoyed the fire (when the weather turned cooler), well equiped with everything we needed and greatly appreciated being able to bring the dogs.

Interesting venue- old school house.

Interesting venue- old school house. Every thing necessary provided. Loved the area. While no TV reception free WiFi meant that both TV on demand and Netflix were available. My dog enjoyed himself greatly. Found the wood burner very effective.

Shhhhh.

Shhhhh... don't tell anyone about the property or its going to be booked up all the time. Our family loved our stay at Beaumont and didn't want to leave. Wood stove for the chilly nights/mornings. Tennis court and pool. Field for the kids to run around. Heaps of books on the shelves and other toys for the kids. Big windows to watch the sheep being shepherded down the road, or look at the stars and moon. Quiet time. Can you tell we enjoyed our stay! :) Would definitely book this property again.

Cool little school near the mighty Clutha , pet friendly too.

Cool little school near the mighty Clutha , pet friendly too... Gorgeous set up , comfy bed and hot water to wash with in bathroom .The outdoor shower set up was too much hassle for one night in the pouring rain but the pool looked awesome I wish it had been warm enough to swim .This would be perfect for a family group but it also worked well for us . Loved seeing lots of familiar records and dipping into your fantastic book stash !

Unique, in that it is an old school.

Unique, in that it is an old school. Fantastic that it is right on the Clutha Gold bike trail. The outdoor shower is an adventure and the property was beautiful. Very peaceful relaxing stay and the our host Margaret was lovely.
