Guests are welcome to wander around the extensive gardens and grounds. located in the beautiful countryside of the Tasman region. It's renowned for views of rolling hills, and distant mountains and lots of art, pottery and crafts. While only a short distance from the Abel Tasman National Park.
We have own olive grove, home grown avocados, strawberries, boysenberries, blueberries, raspberries etc. Garden House Kina has its own boutique Farm Shop and Cafe, this is quietly tucked away out of sight, a 2 minute walk from the accommodation. The neighbouring property is a wonderful vineyard ! Enjoy a 20minute walk to Kina Golf Course, a challenging 9 hole, with spectacular views over the bay, it has a bar and is open to non-members.
Kina Beach is also a popular place for visitors to the area, perfect for long walks and early horizon sunrises. The water is warm and safe to swim, with snapper an easy catch for the keen fisher. The estuary located across the road from the property is calm and graceful, lovely for launching our kayaks or the more exciting water sports, If you bring a boat, at the peninsular-end is a slipway, for access the ocean or the popular waterski area.
Cycling is a major activity, either on the Taste Tasman Trail which links us with Nelson to the East and Kaiteriteri to the West. Both easy riding on mostly flat tracks There are also some of the best Mountain Biking tracks in the country within 30 mins of here.
Embrace the sleek, Scandinavian luxury of our recently renovated studio. The touches of greenery help our guests relax and feel immersed within nature. The studio is fitted out with a queen bed for 2 people but an extra person may be accommodated on a sofa bed or even a couple of kids that don’t mind sharing.
Enjoy our fresh organic seasonal range of homegrown vegetables and fruits as available, on request at modest charge. During the day take a stroll around the olive grove and find yourself in company of our native Fantails, or sit under the pergola and watch the feeding Tui's.

About the host
Hosted by PAUL GRAY

Paul & Karen have spent nearly 30 years specialising in luxury holiday accommodation. First on our farm in the UK, where we built lakeside Fishing Lodges, planting thousands of trees and wild flowers around them.
The last few years we owned and ran the luxury beachside holiday homes "Penguins Nest & The Beech House" at Stephens Bay, Kaiteriteri. The move to "The Garden House," which has 10 acres of rolling pasture, is to be able to grow our own fruit and fresh vegetables, so guests can really enjoy good eating in the heart of a great wine growing area.
