Great stay with Family and Dog. 3 bedroom slept 2 couples, Teen and Dog comfortably. Clean and Comfortable. Helpful, clear message on access, WIFI etc. from owner. Great neighbourhood for Dog walks. Easy drive or good walk (30 mins) to downtown Waterloo.

The location is ok. Beds are comfortable. Generous pillows. Unfortunately the kitchen sink was dirty, the bbq grill was disgustingly dirty and the fire pit was not cleaned out. The lawn was also not maintained and were looking forward to relaxing in the backyard, Next we got the wrong door code from the host. After calling him he did give us the correct code. Then two days later the battery on the door died so we were locked out of the property. He eventually turned up but did not have the replacement batteries and implied that we were putting the code in wrong. Finally he realized it was the lock itself. He seemed quite annoyed about me asking if he could provide us with the correct batteries. I felt sorry for him and said we’d manage until tomorrow. He left after that but refused to answer his messages regarding what time he would come the next morning. We were planning on going for breakfast at a special place which we missed out on. He turned up when we were about to leave the house with the door unlocked. I would seriously recommend using brand name batteries in the future. He still replaced the batteries with the same no name brand. I would recommend to anyone else staying that they bring a Duracell or energerzier 4 set of AA batteries with them. It’s not worth interrupting your vacation for this. You don’t want to be locked out of the house if you need to use the washroom etc. and make sure you have gloves etc to clean the sinks. what else can I say? Use with caution.
