With its prime position in the heart of Caves Beach, this dual-level apartment is an easy five-minute stroll down to the sand. Explore the rock pools at low tide or sample the abundance of eateries on your doorstep—Caves Coastal Bar & Restaurant is a local favourite for a sundowner. Perfect for families, this apartment offers dual living areas and balconies, plus a cot, highchair and games. Work remotely from the dedicated study nook or head outside to fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco.

Families will feel right at home at this breezy apartment in central Caves Beach. It combines contemporary interiors with large balconies across both levels, allowing the coastal air to stream through, while split-system heating and cooling caters to all seasons. Cook up a feast on the BBQ and dine alfresco, then let kids and adults choose between separate living spaces with TVs and Netflix.

Downstairs, a modern kitchen allows guests to prepare meals at home, coming together around the central dining table or alfresco on the balcony. There are plush sofas to kick back after a day at the beach along with books and a TV. The primary bedroom is located on this level and benefits from direct access to the balcony. It’s set with a queen-sized bed and enjoys a private ensuite bathroom.

Heading upstairs, the second lounge space opens to another balcony. A dedicated workspace is ideal for those on a business trip, while a second TV adds to your evening entertainment. The second bedroom also highlights a queen-size bed, while the third bedroom is custom-made for kids with a combination bunk bed, pull-out trundle bed and cot. The modern bathroom includes a freestanding bathtub, while an internal laundry with a washer and dryer adds to your everyday convenience.

Fantastic location, but ill equipped and filthy

We were so excited about this holiday accommodation. It looked too good to be true. And it was.We had no issues checking in with the lock box, but once we entered it went down hill from there.The unit was dirty. The floors hadn’t been vacuumed or washed and you could feel the grit underfoot there were even hair/dust balls in the corners or room and on the stairs. Even after we vacuumed the floors hadn’t felt greasy.The kitchen was also dirty and ill equipped to cook the most basic meal for a family. There was one large pot with a broken handle, a small pot with used oil left in it in the cupboard, a scratched frying pan and one more small pot. There were no basic cooking utensils, dishwashing liquid, or sponge. Dishes and glasses in the cupboard were also dirty and we had to wash them prior to use. Two doonas (one in the main bedroom and one on the bottom kids bunk) were so badly stained they needed to be removed. There were also very visible mould spores on the sheets of the second upstairs bedroom.The bins and toilet cleaners in the bathroom were also covered in rust. The shower drain in the upstairs bathroom had clearly never been cleaned. The water backed up immediately and when I lifted the drain cover I nearly vomited at the sight of how much hair and product was clogged in there.I wrote to the property managers upon our check in and then corresponded with them every day of our stay. It was the worst holiday.I ended up with a 250 reimbursement
