Whitefish Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Single Family-Sleeps 3-4)

Our peaceful single family guest cabin sits on 20 acres and borders an additional 600 acres of Flathead National Forest land. There are trails from the cabin door, yet we are only 5 miles from Whitefish for fantastic food, nightlife, shopping, galleries and weekly farmer's market.

The Flathead Valley is a truly exceptional area and is a year round recreation paradise. Summer offers an incredible variety of pursuits with many lakes, rivers, golf courses, and mountains to explore. Glacier Park and the Bob Marshall wilderness are nearby for breathtaking scenery. Whitefish Mountain Resort also offers incredible views, an average 300 inches of snowfall, and skiing for all abilities. For superb Nordic skiing, Glacier Nordic on the Golf Course or Round Meadows Forest Service Trails are a short distance away.

The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen to meet all of your cooking needs. The downstairs has an open kitchen/living area and the upstairs is an L-shaped room with a queen bed and single bed and the option of an additional mattress on the floor or crib. Outside there is a deck that overlooks a garden with a flowing pond. You will be neighbors with Merino sheep, Pasofino horses, an Irish Kerry Bog Pony and several chickens- the perfect petting zoo for children!

Please note that 4WD or AWD vehicles are recommended for winter travel.

About Jen

We, (Jen and Jerry)together with our parents (Diane and Dick) would love to welcome you to Round Prairie Farm. We take pride in making your vacation cabin a special place to kick back or a home base to explore the Whitefish area.

Jen purchased this cabin in 2000

Why Jen chose Whitefish Lake Area

Whitefish is such a unique community that has something to offer for everyone. We enjoy living so close to such an inviting town, yet having the space and peaceful surroundings of Round Prairie Farm. We are reminded on a daily basis how beautiful life is here!

What makes this cabin unique

Agrotourism isn't just for Europe! Our farm is always full of life and we welcome you to be a part of it. Whether it's the new colt born this summer or the lambs and chicks that come into the world every spring. All of the animals enjoy the best possible care and are a joy to watch as they romp in the pastures. You can gather fresh eggs from the henhouse or herbs from the garden, have a campfire by the flowing pond, or take a walk into the woods.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The snow was excellent, our stay was great and we really enjoyed the cabin because of it's home-like yet rustic feel. We look forward to coming back in the future for another successful ski vacation. Thanks!

Just Right

What a pretty little cabin in the woods! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Jen & Diane couldn't have been more welcoming. If you're looking for a location that is secluded yet just minutes from downtown Whitefish, this is the answer.

Thanks again for a wonderful stay and hope to see you again soon!

Very Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

This place is absolutely wonderful!! Jen greeted us upon our arrival and was very welcoming. Diane was around every day 'working' the farm. She was friendly and was most anxious to share all aspects of the farm. It was so peaceful in the afternoons just sitting on the porch listening to the chickens, sheep and horses.

The farm is close enough to Glacier and all the other sites in the area, but far enough away to truly feel like you were on vacation.

Wonderful Stay!

  • 5 of 5

My Husband and I spent our first anniversary at this lovely cabin in the woods. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking and exploring Glacier National Park. Jen and Diane are great hosts and make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. The farm is amazing, we loved checking out the horses, chickens and sheep. A very unique experience for us Seattleites! We will definitely be back.

This cute secluded cabin in the woods on a farm was an ideal place to launch our travels to Glacier and around Whitefish. We loved relaxing on the deck and hearing the sheep and chickens and horses... would definitely stay here again.

Respite

Beautiful area, and this property is the perfect fit for it. The feel is woodsy, but Whitefish is close and easy to get to. Diane and Jen were wonderful hosts, and are as involved or privacy allowing as you'd like them to be. We got tips from them on trails in Glacier Ntl Park, local Farmers Market and State Park trails. We took a nice hike on the property to a beautiful scenic lookout.

Enjoyed every minute, and hated to leave.

Thanks!

Beautiful Property!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the cabin. Jen, Jerry, Dick and Diane are wonderful people who have a beautiful piece of Whitefish MT. that they're willing to share. The cabin is close to Downtown & Whitefish Mountain resort and not far from Glacier National Park. It's so peaceful at the cabin/farm we spent time just hanging out with the sheep, horses & chickens. Cooper the dog visited us every morning, he's a character. The Forest Service trails off the property are great as well. We hope to stay again soon. Thank You!
