Cabin, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Single Family-Sleeps 3-4)
Our peaceful single family guest cabin sits on 20 acres and borders an additional 600 acres of Flathead National Forest land. There are trails from the cabin door, yet we are only 5 miles from Whitefish for fantastic food, nightlife, shopping, galleries and weekly farmer's market.
The Flathead Valley is a truly exceptional area and is a year round recreation paradise. Summer offers an incredible variety of pursuits with many lakes, rivers, golf courses, and mountains to explore. Glacier Park and the Bob Marshall wilderness are nearby for breathtaking scenery. Whitefish Mountain Resort also offers incredible views, an average 300 inches of snowfall, and skiing for all abilities. For superb Nordic skiing, Glacier Nordic on the Golf Course or Round Meadows Forest Service Trails are a short distance away.
The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen to meet all of your cooking needs. The downstairs has an open kitchen/living area and the upstairs is an L-shaped room with a queen bed and single bed and the option of an additional mattress on the floor or crib. Outside there is a deck that overlooks a garden with a flowing pond. You will be neighbors with Merino sheep, Pasofino horses, an Irish Kerry Bog Pony and several chickens- the perfect petting zoo for children!

We, (Jen and Jerry)together with our parents (Diane and Dick) would love to welcome you to Round Prairie Farm. We take pride in making your vacation cabin a special place to kick back or a home base to explore the Whitefish area.
Jen purchased this Cabin in 2000
Why Jen chose Whitefish
Whitefish is such a unique community that has something to offer for everyone. We enjoy living so close to such an inviting town, yet having the space and peaceful surroundings of Round Prairie Farm. We are reminded on a daily basis how beautiful life is here!
What makes this Cabin unique
Agrotourism isn't just for Europe! Our farm is always full of life and we welcome you to be a part of it. Whether it's the new colt born this summer or the lambs and chicks that come into the world every spring. All of the animals enjoy the best possible care and are a joy to watch as they romp in the pastures. You can gather fresh eggs from the henhouse or herbs from the garden, have a campfire by the flowing pond, or take a walk into the woods.

Exactly what we were looking for
Awesome piece of property that was close to everything. Property owners couldn’t have been any nicer, and just all in all great experience. Would recomend to anyone looking for a cabin in the whitefish area.
We absolutely LOVE... love love... this cabin, farm and family. It's a perfect location just outside of Whitefish proper so you can be in town when you want to, or get away from everyone. It's close to biking trails and the lake, and Glacier NP of course isn't far away at all. There are tons of little trails to walk around on at this property and fun farm animals to watch. The entire family that owns this property is awesome -- I won't get into detail in the event they don't want all of their names listed here, but everyone is so nice, friendly and helpful. The cabin in quaint and has everything you could possibly need, from books and games to dishes to warm blankets - all of it. We stayed here on one of the snowiest weekends ever! They didn't miss a beat with plowing in case we wanted to get out, and were even nice enough to shovel while we were gone. We've stayed here previously when it was warmer and had less snow, and loved walking around with the animals and enjoying the trails around the property. We won't stay anywhere else when we head north for our long weekends. Thank you guys, as always, for another great stay. See you next time!
Charming cabin the the woods.
We were looking for a quiet spot to stay a few days and enjoy the winter landscape in Montana and this cabin fit the bill. Very quiet and comfortable, but only 5 miles from the wonderful town of Whitefish. The owners are very kind and provided us with fresh eggs from their farm. My only caution is the stairs to the bedroom are steep and narrow., but a great overall place to hide away.
Absolutely gorgeous cabin, must stay when in Whitefish
Wow! Words barely begin to describe how wonderful my 11 day stay here was. Jen and her family were more than beyond helpful before I even arrived with detailed directions on how to get there and being able to accommodate my late arrival. The cabin itself is beyond the perfect setting for wanting to have peace and quiet in a gorgeous place in the woods and just a quick drive right into Whitefish and about a 35 min drive to Glacier National Park. It was great to be able to cook and use all the amenities of the cabin and it was incredibly charming and cozy. I was also able to use the sauna on the property which was an added bonus. We experienced a good snow storm while there so it was great to enjoy the sauna with the snow coming down around us. I was able to really disconnect while here and feel fully recharged after my vacation, which is exactly what everyone wants from a vacation. Jen and her family brought fresh eggs from their chickens, provided great ideas on local spots and even spots to check out up in Fernie, BC, in addition to some helpful local advice in terms of getting around, where to eat and explore etc. I can't wait to come back to this cabin in the future. Thank you again for such a lovely and amazing stay!! I'm already missing my time there. It flew by faster than I wanted it to!
Just my style
We had a near perfect experience. Ideal place to launch from to head over to Glacier or get around Whitefish. Our hosts were excellent: there to greet us when we arrived and there when needed, otherwise, they were our neighbors - we saw them coming and going. We did get a tour of the farm and introductions to all the animals, which was nice. And you really can't beat farm-fresh eggs for breakfast every morning. When we're headed back that way, we'll most definitely check in here. Thanks, Jen and Diane, for making us feel welcome and providing a relaxed and relaxing environment. Hope to see you again sometime.
Very nice stay not far from town.great hosts. Enjoyed the farm animals and wildlife, beautiful scenery and lovely little town. Stairs up to the bedroom are a little steep but overall loved it
Hiking and biking trails from the cabin door, wood fired sauna.
