Vintage Beach Shack was built in the late 1940s.
It is one of six ground floor tiny units and is situated on Orton Street the main Street before Ocean Grove Beachfront.
The unique Location is within ten min walking distance N, S, E and W, to Ocean Grove Beach, Barwon River, The Dunes Beachfront Cafe, The Garage Cafe and The Terrace Shops/Cafe's.
Barwon Heads is within ten min drive or twenty min walk.
It has original and restored vintage style.
Lots of sunlight, cosy, luxury vintage style.

Vintage Beach Shack is in a great position on Orton Street, as it’s the way to access the Beach and Barwon Heads . During the day it can be a busy street , ( with beach traffic noise when busy ) but when quiet and in the evening you can hear the waves on the beach, being so close.

The Vintage Shack has many original fixtures from the late 40s and also restored quality reproductions and is decorated with unique quality vintage furnishings.

The tiny vintage kitchenette has original sink/ cabinet, and an assortment of reproduction vintage appliances including:
Smeg fab 50s fridge/ freezer
Smeg retro Bench-top oven warmer ( just for warming up a localy made lasagna, pie, etc. ( not for roasting, sautéing or baking)
Alessi Toaster and Kettle
The Little Guy Induction Top - (very tiny only for heating soup or milk for coffee and hot chocolate. (no cooking or sautéing.)
Organic LOVE TEA and Saint Ali plunger Coffee

There is no freestanding oven, because it so tiny and no exhaust more like a hotel kitchenette.
No microwave ( because they are a hazard to our health)
Our kitchenette is more suited to guests who want to make a cheese, antipasto or fruit platter, fruit or garden salad, yoghurt and muesli or just enjoying warming up local organic gourmet pre-made meals from Bliss and Co just around the corner.

Bathroom is a new vintage Art Deco renovation from English Tapware Company.
The Soho bath is priceless, unique and handmade from minerals in Italy, together with the Perrin and Rowe sink, toilet and tapware made in England.
We ask our guests to take extra care while appreciating the beauty of the bathroom facilities.
Dindi Naturals body wash and bubble bath.

During the restoration of inside windows and floorboards we used Osmo natural oils and paint products and will continue to use in future restoring, so you can be assured that all newly painted areas are not harmful and plant based.

Maximum two adult guests. ( not suitable for infants and children)
Maximum two night stay.
Minimum one good review and a thoughtful message to stay.
Because very quiet until summer being at the beach, we do offer one night stays, but no early check-in or late check out, to be ready for last minute reservation requests.
