Together, we’ve built a wonderful, blended family of five children and three grandchildren, and after years of busy careers and full family lives, we knew retirement needed to be more than just slowing down — it needed purpose and passion.
Hosting felt like the perfect fit. It keeps us active, allows us to share a place we deeply love, and welcome guests who appreciate nature, peace, and genuine connection. Whether it’s stargazing by the fire, listening to nature settle in for the night, or simply enjoying the quiet, we love offering a retreat for like-minded nature enthusiasts looking to unplug and truly unwind.

River Ridge Retreat is a place where friends and family naturally come together. Spend your days splashing in the water, while others relax nearby, soaking in the calm. Watch any activity from the shoreline, enjoying the breeze, or simply listening to the sounds of nature unfold.
As evening settles in, gather around the campfire to share stories, roast marshmallows under an open sky. When the weather turns, the retreat becomes just as cozy indoors—with a wood burning stove, curling up with a good book, playing a game of Scrabble, or enjoying quiet conversation that stretches long into the evening.
Throughout the day, nature provides its own gentle soundtrack. Fish break the surface of the water, bald eagles call and soar overhead, their voices echoing across the waterway. Paddlers occasionally pass by, offering a friendly wave or brief conversation before the peaceful quiet returns.
