The highs: Property is a beautiful, scenic piece of land. The house is large and roomy. Check-in/Check-out was easy. House appliances are very nice including washer/dryer. lounge seating in the tv areas and deck was comfy. the lows: One wall mounted A/C unit for the whole house. Need to keep bedroom doors open all day to cool bedrooms down. (August). Kitchen was light on glassware, pots, pans, Cooking knives, and the things you need to cook for yourself. Second floor shower has low water pressure.

Disappointment at Mono Farmhouse

As context, I have never submitted a bad review before…and we have stayed at many assorted places around the world. But never has there been such a mismatch between the amenities listed for a property and the reality. Although listed as an available amenity, there was no pool table or hot tub. Furthermore, the kitchen was poorly stocked. The cookware is basic and minimal…since we were preparing dinners for a family of six, we had to go to the nearby town to purchase cookware (pot, serving bowl). The pantry is non-existent, save for several containers of toothpicks (???) and a shaker of Montreal steak spice. No basics like salt, pepper, sugar, etc.Granted the host admitted that this is all new to them and they are still learning. The property itself is beautiful. But a misleading listing is problematic. If you are a group of teenagers that plan to live on pizza delivery and alcohol for several days, your expectations will be exceeded. If you do not fit within this category, then be wary.
