The ambition of the owners? Offer a unique and accessible art experience to travelers looking for "beautiful places and beautiful things". Some of the furniture and objects are also for sale. On 150 sqm², this place of creation, made available to artists in low season for creative sessions, offers a subtle balance between design, architecture, and conviviality. All at the service of a key word: pleasure.

Starting with the pleasure of the eyes. Facing south, you enjoy an exceptional view of the bay of Arène Cros which is at the foot of the house. Its crystal-clear water gives a glimpse of the bottom. It is a painting in perpetual renewal and of course a paradise to swim and explore the seabed.

Ideal for 8 people, this house 3 times century old, was made with stones and sand coming from the bay, part of the walls moreover been peeled in the living rooms to make the visible.



Each piece has its own universe. Nothing is left to chance, not even the entrance and the corridor which gather as many creations as another room.



The extensive lounge/dining area offers a generous volume with the exposed frame which has been totally restored and offers 3 living spaces. A bar and a living room open, warm and where you can have an aperitif in the sofas graffitied by the artist Alin. The dining area is more cosy to receive comfortably.



Master rooms of the house, the air-conditioned veranda and the main terrace offer an extraordinary view of the Mediterranean Sea. It is the ideal place to have breakfast to the rhythm of the elements. Every season, at every moment of the day the view evolves, and it is difficult to get tired of it. The furniture used here is design and contemporary.



The kitchen is a place of conviviality where you will find all the necessary equipment to concoct gourmet dishes for your loved ones. Decorative masterpiece of this piece, a 2 m fist made by the plastic artist Patrice Goux.

The night space invites you into the world of La Ciotat. All rooms are air-conditioned, benefit from new and quality bedding, wardrobes.



The first bedroom is like an introduction to La Ciotat. It illustrates the glorious past of the Société “Provençale de Constructions Navales” which manufactured luxurious liners in the early 1920s. It is equipped with a double bed, a large travel trunk as a wardrobe, a shower, and many decorative elements of this universe.



The second bedroom reminds us of the unique link between La Ciotat and cinema. You will find a decoration based on one of the first films of the Lumière brothers. "The arrival of a train at La Ciotat station" from 1896. It is equipped with a double bed and a wardrobe.

The third chamber is dedicated to the world of aviation. Aircraft nose, engine piece transformed into a mirror, aircraft fins used as a tablet, airstrip light and highlight of the show a piece of furniture from a BOEING of the 70s that will allow you to store your luggage.

These two bedrooms benefit from a separate, spacious, modern bathroom with a magnificent walk-in shower.



The fourth bedroom immerses you in the underwater world. Submarine nose transformed into lamp, steel structures illustrating coral or octopus tentacle, unique bathroom furniture with organic shapes ,... You will find a double bed, a bathroom, a wardrobe. The balcony overlooks the jacuzzi area.

This space is a particularly friendly space. 2 jacuzzis of 4 places are at your disposal and in operation all year, you will also find a bar made in teak root, a pizza oven, a barbecue, an outdoor shower and a small hut in which you will find a fridge, a washbasin and of course a large table for convivial meals. The private Petanque court is 10 m away.



Everything has been thought out in every detail so that you let yourself be carried away by the sweetness of the place, that you rejuvenate yourself in this idyllic setting where design, seaside, scents of pine trees and Provencal vegetation will leave you the delicate imprint of these peaceful moments past the villa "Sea Sand House".



Included in the rental: WIFI, end-of-stay cleaning, bed linen, bath towels, several parking spaces and your first consumables (coffee, toilet paper, garbage bag, washing-up liquid, dishwasher and washing machine capsules).

The accommodation is located on the first level of an old house on the edge of the bay. The entrance is private and the house is totally dedicated to you.

A secure parking, private offers 5 parking spaces with surveillance cameras.



Interaction with travelers

You will have a unique contact available to welcome you, carry out check-in and check-out.

This person will introduce you to the property as a whole, how it works and will be available during your stay if you have any questions about the accommodation.

She will give you and comment on our tourist guide who advises you on typical days to discover the region.

Other remarks

The house has been decorated with care for you. Many decorative objects are lent directly by the artists. Some furniture has even been made, optimized on site. All this for your pleasure. We expect you to pay attention to this in return. Thank you in advance.

Parties and events are not allowed and sound volume detectors are installed in the house to avoid wild parties.

Pets are not allowed.

You can smoke only outside.

The entrance is between 16h and 19h. The exit between 9am and 10am. In summer, the agency will define the time of provision of the property and departure in these slots according to the schedule of the maintenance and reception teams.

The back of the house is close to the D559. A slight traffic noise can be heard from the jacuzzi area. The perimeter walls significantly limit the noise and this does not represent a noticeable discomfort.



The neighborhood

Arène Cros is a quiet area of La Ciotat directly overlooking the bay with the same name with its beach. It is an ideal place facing the sea to bathe and explore the seabed.

From the house, by car, you have quick access to the neighborhoods of Fontsainte and Saint Jean. You will find shops, bakery, restaurant, beaches.

Discover also the old port and the old town of La Ciotat which runs quietly through small streets full of charm, and free of all traffic, the center being pedestrian. We pass in front of houses whose construction extends from the fifteenth to the nineteenth century. The tangle of streets and alleys leads to many squares, such as the Sadi Carnot square and its refreshing fountain near which you can stop for a drink.

Also enjoy the new docks of the old port totally renovated in 2019. The markets, the terraces are all invitations to take pleasure to the rhythm of the products, dishes and the Mediterranean climate.

You can easily enjoy La Ciotat and its unique environment with its cut-out and spectacular coastline, its bay nicknamed "THE GULF OF LOVE" but also its hinterland: Calanque park, Calanque de Figuerolles, park and creek of Mugel, the green island, the beaches, circuit of Castellet, ...

On or under water, on land or in the air, the choice of activities is wide: diving, sailing, kayaking, hiking or simply relaxing to enjoy the omnipresent sun.

You can also take back your vehicle and embark at your discretion to discover the AOC vineyards of Cassis or Bandol, visit the Calanques by boat, opt for a golf course, practice hiking in the Massifs du Castellet or in the Calanques reserve, discover the Golden Islands, Marseille, Aix en Provence, ...

La Ciotat is served by train, a bus network and also offers access to the creeks or the green island by boat.
