The host Lauren seemed lovely when I spoke to her on the phone, the house was clean and very comfortable with everything you could possibly need for a comfy stay. Also the location would have to be the best in Oamaru with stunning views of the harbor and walking distance to the best attractions.

Good spot. There is a lot within walking distance (1.5-3km). The house is comfortable, but prepare to manage the heating and for some rooms to be cold. The view from the front room is great. The kitchen is light on amenities. Examples include no coffee maker (not even a press), no paper towels with few kitchen towels to supplement, no spices, no oils, and other commonly needed items.
