This cottage served as one of the original telegraph stations in South Australia. Back then, the village of Greenock became a significant stop over for travellers on the way to the Murray River or interstate, and a popular meeting place for locals.

Today the Old Telegraph Station has been lovingly restored into a beautiful Barossa bed and breakfast. With its peaceful location in the quaint town of Greenock. The Old Telegraph Station, now officially known as Telegraph Cottage, offers guests a relaxing environment while still being situated within the heart of the world famous Barossa Valley. We came across Telegraph Cottage an we were instantly drawn to the character and warmth of the cottage. We both love old stone homes and buildings and this one is beautiful. Tony and I, Debbi, are pleased we can continue the heritage of Greenock's Old telegraph Station and proudly share it with you.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property because we love the character of the building and wanted to share our town with our visitors.

What makes this property unique

The cottage is centrally located in Greenock, only a short walk from 7 cellar doors, a brewery, pub and licenced café/restaurant.
Telegraph Cottage has been lovingly restored and has cosy features like a wood fire, spa bath in the bathroom, large grassed area with plenty of shade to relax under with a Barossa wine, and we are pet friendly.
