With a very low population of permanent residents, it offers a peaceful retreat for those seeking respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is a much loved second home to many family who holiday here every summer.


The town is strategically located near several world-famous attractions, including the Twelve Apostles, London Bridge, and the Bay of Islands, making it an ideal base for exploring the Shipwreck Coast. For golf enthusiasts, the Peterborough Golf Club provides a scenic 9-hole course, while families can enjoy the local playgrounds and pristine beaches.


Peterborough's charm lies in its blend of natural wonders and laid-back coastal living, However you must keep this in mind when booking a stay here! It's a coastal village so doesn't have all the bells and whistles. We have a pub, general store for all basics, plus bottle shop, a great takeaway that also offers fuel. Plus we have 2 lovely little cafes currently for coffee and cafe food - TEDS & Peterborough house. Timboon is a short drive away for larger supermarket but if you require specialty items you will need to bring them with you.

Getting Around:
You need a car to travel to Peterborough but once you have arrived, walking , bikes and scooters are perfectly fine.
