Cobb Vista is a spacious multi-level retreat perched on a hill overlooking the Continental Divide and located just 1.4 miles to the Peak 7 & 8 Base Area of the Breckenridge Ski Resort. With fully stocked kitchen, a private hot tub, and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Cobb Vista is the perfect mountain home for a family or group. Large decks and a garden level walk out patio, along with lots of windows allow you to enjoy the gorgeous views of Mt Baldy and the surrounding pine forest. This home has 3 levels allowing everyone in the group to maintain a feeling of privacy with separate bedroom areas and if needed an optional private apartment with full kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living area can be added for groups 12+. Furnished with mountain style decor and attention to every detail, Cobb Vista is wonderful mountain lodge with everything you need for a memorable vacation.

One mile from the slopes, it’s easy to make fresh tracks in the powder or be in the heart of town in minutes for shopping and/or dinner out. Cobb Vista is nestled on a quiet cul-de-sac in the beautiful Peak 7 neighborhood, with unobstructed views. We also have a parking pass for guests to the gondola parking lot in town during winter.

The Main Level of the home features a large open area with the main living room, wood burning stove, LCD HDTV with DirecTV, vaulted ceilings and is open to the kitchen and dining areas. The main kitchen has two sinks, temp controlled wine cooler, GE Profile stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, slate floor and is fully stocked with all cooking utensils, two coffeemakers, and Calphalon cookware. The dining area seats 10, plus there is an additional table with seating for 4.

There is a Main Floor master bedroom with King size bed, HDTV, full bathroom with jetted tub. The main level also has a private bedroom with twin bunk beds a full bathroom in the hall. A large deck and picture windows line the west side of the main level, with a gas grill, views for miles, and plenty of sun.

The top level of the home has a private and secluded luxurious master suite with King size bed, large bathroom with double sinks and Jacuzzi tub, plus an en-suite wet bar with sink, wine cooler, microwave convection oven, coffee maker and toaster, there is a private deck with table, chairs and dramatic views.

Downstairs are three bedrooms including a T/V room with three day sofas, two bedrooms each with a queen bed, and a large full bathroom in the hall with double sinks and laundry room with washer/dryer. The two queen bedrooms open up to the walk out deck and hot tub area.

OPTIONAL APARTMENT (Available for $99 per night): The home also features a private apartment that offers privacy and separate living area and full kitchen for groups of 13 +. There is a bedroom with a queen bed and full bathroom. The second kitchen is light and bright and also fully stocked with all appliances, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and utensils. Adjacent to the kitchen is a living room with a queen pull out sofa, stereo system, and garden level walk out patio. The apartment is accessible through separate entrance or through downstairs hall from the Main House.

Cobb Vista has a two car garage and parking for 2 more vehicles in the driveway (4 vehicles total). The unique layout of Cobb Vista, with four distinct bedroom and living areas, is perfect for family reunions, wedding parties, extended families or groups of couples seeking their own privacy. Why Cobb Vista? What’s “Cobb” mean?

Not what…but who. Russ Smith’s nickname was Cobb growing up, after the baseball player Ty Cobb. Russ Smith was a man with a huge heart, always a grin and a story to tell, and an infectious laugh that made him everyone’s immediate friend. He loved time in a mountain town and in 2000 he and his wife Scottie bought this house on Peak 7 as a retreat and gathering place for their family. After his death in 2002, we affectionately named the place “Cobb Vista” in memory of him and because, as the laughter and love of our family continues in this special place, we can almost hear dad saying, “will you look at that view!”

We’re the Smith’s, son, daughters, and granddaughter of Russ. We invite you to come and share your own laughter, joy, adventures, and love with your friends and family in this retreat and gathering place … just as we often do! Cobb Vista is a place of warmth, welcome, and yes…a killer VIEW from every room! Come stay, relax, and enjoy!

Huge, luxurious home easily fit 4 families for wonderful reunion

Lots of space. Close to the town of Breckenridge, hiking trails and gondolas. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, two sinks and two dishwashers. Deck provided amazing views! Bedrooms were spacious and beds were good. Each section of the house and the additional apartment were isolated enough that we could not hear each other at night.

Had an issue with the trash smelling in the garage, but the property manager (who lives down the street) took care of this. Didn't use the hot tub, in part because the property manager "scared" us into thinking we might break it.

All in all, great experience and well worth the price!

Fantastic house, spectacular more comforts than home!

Our group of 13 -- family (adults and kids) from afar who rarely get together like this -- spent a delightful week Dec 26-Jan 2. It was glorious. The house is perfect for a big group. Lots of separate spaces to avoid being on top of each other, but a huge great room when we all wanted to be together. I was the family cook and I must say that this is the best outfitted kitchen I've ever seen in any rental property anywhere. Every time I wanted a specific cooking tool or pot/pan or appliance, all I had to do was dig around and I would find it! Not that the "digging" was difficult. There are labels in all the cabinets identifying what goes where. A brilliant idea, not only to help us find the stuff, but then to help put it back in the right places. Really, if you are a cook, you will love this kitchen. We even used the outdoor grill --despite the cold -- and it worked like a charm. The views from all around the house are simply magnificent... you feel like you are outdoors without having to brave the cold. The beds in the bedrooms and the linens were ample and very very comfortable. There were more than enough linens and towels and having the washer and dryer was very convenient. The owners wisely keep the thermostats locked at set temperatures. We are from the south and worried about that, but the temperature in the house was perfect all around. Access to the lifts was so easy, a short drive away(no more than 10 minutes, even while snowing). You do need a designated driver though, because there is no parking at the nearest ski lifts. And the beauty of the gondola lift by the Crystal Lodge, the closest, is that there never seem to be lines! The best supermarket in Breck is about 20 mins away and they are fully stocked and very reasonably priced for a resort town. Main street for shops, bars and restaurants is also about the same distance. Parking in town on a busy week like this was an issue, but that was to be expected. Easier after the apres ski crowd left. Getting a taxi is a bit more difficult though... not unexpected on such a busy week

Andrea, the caretaker, lives a couple of houses away and was a great help, always there for us (especially when we set off the fire alarm with a smoky oven) with advice and good suggestions. If you book this property she will become your friend.

Finally, communication with Amy, the owner was efficient and flawless.

Highly recommend this property for a group!

Beautiful and spacious ski house for large groups

Our group came in January for ski trip and the house exceeded our expectations. We had 13 adults and a baby and had more than enough space (note that we also had the attached bed/bath apartment).

A couple highlights that our group appreciated:

- Large open living room / kitchen area made it comfortable to interact and converse. Very comfortable seating, including 2 very large couches

- Kitchen is very well-equipped. Anything you could need is there, made it easy to cook for 10+ each night. Outdoor grill also good

- For skiing, it's about a 5 minute drive to Peak 8 drop-off which is very convenient if you have a driver that isn't skiing or someone to drop-off. The drive to the base / town / gondola is closer to 15 minutes, still not bad.

- Heated garage and heated driveway was a nice perk as there was a lot of snow during our trip. Parking was easy even when we had 5 cars there.

- Owner and manager were extremely helpful and responsive. It was clear they had considered many potential needs for renters (for example, the house had a closet full of extra towels)

Will definitely consider for any future trip to Breck.

Fantastic home in Breckenridge

My girlfriends gathered at Cobb Vista for a long ladies weekend. The house was perfect for our group. There were between 7 and 10 of us each night and we had plenty of room. The privacy of the apartment was great. Amy was great to work with and Andrea, the on site manager, always responded to any questions we had for her. I would definitely stay there again. It was just a short 10 minute drive to Breckenridge where there are many restaurants and lots of great shopping. Be sure to check out Blue River Bistro for happy hour.
