The space
Described by our photographer as cozy and super charming, this home has more windows than most houses three times its size. A handmade, artistic feel defines the space, with original mosaics, wood and slate floors, and thoughtful design throughout.
This is a one-of-a-kind home, built with intention, character, and care. A wood stove adds warmth and ambiance on cooler nights. Guests frequently call it the most unique Airbnb theyve ever stayed in — and many return year after year to make shared memories with loved ones.
Note: This is a home for nature lovers. Expect to see squirrels, birds, and occasionally a fox or raccoon. Summers include bugs, and cobwebs can appear overnight. We do not fumigate. The home uses natural pest control and is fragrance-free to support easier breathing and chemical-free living.
The home was built by hand using recycled and repurposed materials. From stained glass accents to reclaimed windows and tiles, everything reflects a deep respect for sustainability and the environment. This rustic, artistic eco-retreat is a collaboration with nature — and a rare find.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, spices, oils, salt, and pepper. Includes a gas stove with 4 burners, oven, microwave, and toaster oven. There’s a full fridge and freezer, French press, blender, Magic Bullet, and ice cube trays (no ice maker). We also provide organic coffee, half and half, and a selection of teas.
BATHROOM
The upstairs bathroom features a clawfoot tub and rainfall showerhead. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided so you can travel light.
BEDROOMS
Both bedrooms are located upstairs. To access the second bedroom, you pass through the first, though both rooms have doors for privacy. There is also a twin day bed and a full futon downstairs for extra sleeping. Please indicate your total number of guests so we can leave enough linens and towels.
All linens are cotton, washed with natural, fragrance-free detergent in keeping with our eco-conscious values.
OUTDOOR SPACES
Enjoy a private upstairs patio off the bedrooms and a covered back patio with fan and string lights. The outdoor dining area seats 4, perfect for a quiet meal surrounded by nature.
FIRE RING
Guests are welcome to use the fire ring, and we provide firewood on-site. Fires must be handled with care and are only for those comfortable tending an open flame.
Guest access
Guests have full access to the right-hand side of the house, including both private outdoor decks — one upstairs and one in the back. A separate small Airbnb studio is located on the left-hand side of the home. You may see or hear the other guests in the shared parking area, but the living areas and decks are entirely private.
If you’d like to book both spaces for a 3BR/2BA stay, visit Erin’s profile and book “Storybook Retreat.” For a smaller space suited to two guests, look for the “Art, Beauty, Nature” listing. Calendars are kept up to date, so availability is accurate.
Other things to note
STAIRS AND ACCESSIBILITY
This is a multi-level home with many stairs and changes in elevation. It is not recommended for older adults, young children, or guests requiring a single-level home. If you need an additional downstairs bedroom and bathroom, we recommend booking Storybook Retreat instead.
PET POLICY
Well-behaved pets are welcome with a $50 fee per pet, per stay. Please message us in advance to review our pet policy.
This home is perfect for guests who value intentional design, eco-living, and the natural world. If youre looking for a place to slow down, reconnect, and feel inspired by your surroundings, this is the place for you.
