Welcome to Calf Cottage. This is the smaller cottage of The Cow & Calf Cottages. Cow Cottage sleeps 3 and is also available to book.

Calf Cottage has everything you will need whilst away from home. You will enjoy your own shower room and toilet, single bed, Smart TV, heat pump, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge.

You have your own decking to relax on, so you can sip your glass of local wine or enjoy your cup of coffee whilst taking in the lake and hills opposite. There is a (shared) outside area with a shared picnic bench for dining at. We are by Puketapu Road and have free off-road parking. Both cottages are in a fully fenced area away from the main house.(and our 2 staffy dogs, although you are welcome to spend some time with them if you like...they'd love it!).

We are situated right by the Puketapu Cycle track which is part of the Hawkes Bay Trails. So, if you're here to cycle, you can set off straight from your cottage. We have secure storage for bikes (please arrange your own insurance though).

Being just 15 minutes' drive from Napier, Napier airport and Hastings, you really can experience the best of both worlds: the busyness of the CBD and then just a short drive back to your cottage and rural calm.

We are situated only 1 min drive to Shed 530 Bistro & Winery one of the many fantastic wineries in the region & the Puketapu Pub & dairy are within walking distance too. The river is 5 mins walk away, great to cool off in the summer.

The views are incredible ... just look at the photos. There is very little light pollution, and we can sometimes see the Milky Way at night.

Whether you're here to cycle the tracks, explore the wineries and local beaches, go Art Deco or simply relax, we are brilliantly positioned for you. We are a great resting spot if you are away on business too!
