Above the main living area, a beautifully crafted loft awaits—open, airy, and furnished with a comfortable queen-size bed.

Step into the living area where the centerpiece is a majestic floor-to-ceiling stone wood burning fireplace. The stones, each one hand-picked from the rugged shores of Lake Superior, carry with them the natural history of the Great Lakes—smoothed by waves, weather, and time.

CEDAR LODGE – A Charming 1950s Vintage Cottage on Madeline Island’s South Shore

Cedar Lodge is a beautifully updated vintage cottage that blends classic 1950s charm with modern comfort. Perched along Madeline Island’s serene south shore, the cabin offers sweeping views of Lake Superior and easy access to your own private beach just across the quiet road. An extra-wide, permanent dock extends into the water—perfect for morning coffee, sunbathing, swimming, or simply relaxing beside the gentle waves on the sandy shoreline.

Designed for up to four guests, this cozy two-bedroom, two-bath retreat is thoughtfully appointed for a carefree getaway. The well-stocked kitchen includes a microwave, dishwasher, cookware, and utensils, making meal preparation a breeze. A gas grill and charcoal grill (bring charcoal and lighter fluid) expand your cooking options, while an outdoor firepit invites s’mores and star-filled evenings.

Inside, the warm and inviting main room features a classic wood-burning fireplace with a supply of dry firewood stacked beside the shed.
