Welcome to Gooseberry Cottage. You are invited to get away from it all at a charming lake cottage within steps of the crystal clear waters of Lake Superior! Private 600 feet of shoreline and beach is yours with plenty of room to swim and play on beautiful Chebomnicon Bay. You are moments from Big Bay State Park, which is great access for the hiker, biker, kayaker or adventurer. You can enjoy the 12+ acres of this very private location. The cottage has been recently updated and sleeps 6 comfortably with a king, queen, full futon and a daybed with trundle on the 3 season porch (for those who enjoy sleeping to the sounds of nature and fresh air.) You will have amazing privacy at our cottage and you can truly get away from the "busyness" of daily life here. There is a TV/DVD player for watching movies if you wish (no tv service but can stream on wifi). Come make wonderful memories on the island while staying at Gooseberry Cottage. Family and pet friendly. 5 night min. during peak summer months, but please contact owner for consideration of shorter stay. Amenities: 3 season porch, basic kitchen essentials provided, microwave (no dishwasher), full bath, outdoor shower, wood burning fireplace,, sunporch, charcoal grill (please bring your own charcoal, lighter fluid and firewood), and an outdoor fire pit. *please note the beach changes throughout the seasons dependent upon many factors, and beach may be larger or smaller at different times of season.*
