Before COVID, I lived in Taiwan for seven years. During that time, I worked as a kindergarten teacher and ran a share house, where I had the chance to live with people from many different backgrounds. After returning to Japan, I worked as a Chinese interpreter and in real estate, and through a fortunate connection, I renovated this small 56-year-old house and opened it as a licensed guesthouse.

Hoping to help create a new sightseeing area in Tokyo—the charming shitamachi—I quietly opened this place in a peaceful residential neighborhood.
Please take a look at the map and enjoy a stroll through the nearby Kanamachi Suehiro Shopping Street.
My favorite spot in Katsushika Ward is Kanamachi-yu, a traditional Japanese public bath located near the guesthouse. There are also many great places nearby, such as Taishakuten Temple and traditional Japanese sweet shops near the neighboring Shibamata Station, as well as the record shop VDS near Kameari Station, the shopping mall Ario Kameari, and the cosmetics outlet AENA.

What makes Tokyo Kanamachi Inn special is that the traditional house has been fully renovated, so all facilities are brand new and meticulously cleaned. To help families enjoy quality time at home, we offer a projector with an 80-inch screen, as well as a LEGO wall and LEGO blocks.
As many of our guests are families staying long term, the fully equipped kitchen includes cooking utensils, appliances, a dishwasher, and basic seasonings. The bathroom features a large bathtub along with washing and drying facilities for your convenience.
