About Ann Jarrett
My wife and I are both educators. I am retired, she still works. We enjoy vacationing with our grown children and grandchildren.
Ann Jarrett purchased this House in 1998
Why Ann Jarrett chose Waynesville
This is the home my wife grew up in. In 2008 we took a family trip with our grown children and stayed in a vacation rental home. We enjoyed cooking together and relaxing in a home. We thought this home would be great for families coming to Fort Leonard Wood for graduations and to visit family.

I stayed here when I had to come TDY to Fort Leonard Wood. I had to bring my three small children, and the house was very family-friendly. It was built in 1965, so it has some older house nuances, which I actually loved (creaky floors, old electrical outlets). It was a wonderful stay and felt like home away from home. We will stay here again.
Military graduation/family gathering
This home is only a few blocks off the main drag making it very easy to get to places. Close to the military base which made it convenient for our visit. The house is a good size for a family gathering. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay here again!
Thanks so very much for the very nice/exceptional review. Thanks for mentioning the location and convenience of the house's location to shopping, the Post etc and the size and suitability of the home to large family gatherings etc. a superb review overall. Thanks for your attention and help. JJ
Graduation - Fort Leonard Wood, MO.
We came for our son's basic training graduation at Fort Leonard Wood. The property was clean, big enough and conveniently located. The home met and exceeded all our expectations. We thank the owners for allowing us to use their home for this memorable celebration.
Basic Training/ AIT Graduation
Thank you for the hospitality. The home is exactly what you see in the photos. Lots of space for a group of 11. Fully stocked kitchen that allowed us to bake fresh cookies and host a cookout in January (we are from Wisconsin) for our Soldier. We enjoyed our time. John and Ann are attentive hosts. If ever our Army travel bring us back to Fort Leonard Wood, we will be back!
Army Training Graduation
Excellent communication from owner prior, during and after our stay!
Wonderful location for Army families!
We can’t say enough good thinks about Jon and Ann!
Thanks for the great review, Barbara. Sincerely , John

As you go east through Saint Robert to get to the main gate of Fort Leonard Wood, you'll pass the only remaining original Route 66 roadside park in Missouri, now with the addition of a military tank. Route 66 enthusiasts find our home a great base from which to explore landmarks to the east and west, as route runs right through Waynesville. Visit the scenic and historic bridge route though Devil's Elbow and envision it with trucks and cross-country traffic to understand why the Pulaski County section of Route 66 was called Bloody 66. The bluffs surrounding Devil's Elbow were once listed as one of the seven scenic wonders of Missouri.
Fort Leonard Wood features a free indoor-outdoor military museum and free batting cages. Small fees for bowling and fishing (MO fishing license required). Military families can shop at the PX and commissary.
Public golf courses in the area include the 18-hole Piney Valley Golf Course and driving range on Fort Leonard Wood. Saint Robert Municipal Golf Course, Richland Country Club and Public Golf, and Oak Hills Country Club Golf, Dixon, are all 9-hole courses.
