About this property

Charming Lakefront Retreat | Unplug at Luna Rosa Chalet

Dream a little dream of a lake escape ...

Dedicate a few days lakeside wrapped in the rhythms of nature and welcoming the freedom of having nowhere else to be.

Nestled off-the-beaten path, overlooking the sparkling waters of Fisher Lake, you'll discover our family-built chalet — a space designed for slowing down, recharging the soul, and savouring life’s simple pleasures.

Before Reserving: Please continue to explore the listing to discover the charms, unique touches and location that make our hideaway truly special.

Allow your heart to live in the moment while being seduced by kaleidoscope sunsets, a bonfire's crackling dance and savouring meals under the stars. Breathe in the the aroma of the morning forest, walk barefoot and enjoy the sensation of the lake's fresh water on your skin as you beat the Summer heat.

The lake becomes your companion here — whether napping in the gardens, swaying to music on the record player or drifting off to sleep in the king-sized bed, the shimmering waters of Fisher Lake are always within reach.

Here, it's all about disconnecting—no Wi-Fi, limited cell service, and no distractions. This is the place where you can leave the hustle behind, focus on the little joys, and recharge your soul.

You’ll share the lake with only a handful of other cottages, ensuring your peace and privacy in a calm, unhurried atmosphere.

To ease into your vacation, know there is not much you need to pack save your food, swimsuits and sense of adventure! Of course, don't forget a good book to enjoy in the hammock.

Adventurous souls will adore the uncharted feeling of this region: stunning Taylor Head Provincial Park & Beaches, waterfall hikes and touring the nearby bison farm are all within 35 minutes of the Chalet.

Whether it's relaxation, romance, adventure or a little mix of it all - a lake escape it truly what one dreams it to be!

Other Things to Note Before Reserving:

➢ Water Conservation

The Chalet relies on a well, so water conservation is essential . We’ve made it simple and stress-free—here’s how you can help:

Drinking & cooking: We provide plenty of clean water for your entire stay—no need to bring your own.

Showering: Please limit shower time and use the "pause" button on the shower head while shampooing or lathering.

Dishwashing: Tap water is safe for dishes. Use the sink plugs and avoid letting water run freely from the tap.

Well monitoring: We closely track water levels—guests won’t run out when following the conservation steps.

Dry season top-ups: From June to mid-Autumn, the well will be automatically replenished from the lake. Please do not touch the timer, cords or pump.

Thank you for helping us conserve water and embracing lakeside life! ♥

➢ Cell Service

Cell service at Fisher Lake is limited, as is typical throughout Nova Scotia.

Success with calls, texts, and data depends on your provider (Bell, Telus, Public Mobile are quite reliable).

Texts generally send while on property though a little patience can be required. Some calls may connect, but the lake entrance—higher in elevation—is best for making calls. This is 250 m from the Chalet.

In Upper Musquodoboit (12 min) or Sheet Harbour (25 min), cell service is excellent.

➢ No WiFi

This is a unique chance to unplug, if you so choose!

There is NO WiFi at the Chalet—perfect for a truly uninterrupted stay.

Free WiFi is available in the village of Upper Musquodoboit.

➢ Location:

Nestled off the beaten path and hidden from the highway, Luna Rosa Chalet overlooks tranquil Fisher Lake.

Fisher Lake is dotted with a handful of cottages, and our Chalet is thoughtfully positioned to maximize tranquility. Seasonal neighbours sit to the right of the property, separated by a natural tree line so everyone can enjoy their own peaceful corner of the lake.

While we’re a little farther from Nova Scotia’s "classic" tourist destinations, that’s part of the charm! Your stay invites you into the quiet magic of rural Nova Scotia and the unhurried rhythms which make the province so special.

Local essentials are within easy reach in Upper Musquodoboit, just a 12-minute drive away. A small grocery store, pizzeria, and NSLC are open daily.

A 25-minute drive brings you to coastal Sheet Harbour, home to a larger grocery store, a few restaurants and a cafe.

For those eager to explore, adventure is never far! Taylor Head Provincial Park and the breathtaking Wild Islands coastline are 35 minutes away—perfect for a full day of hiking, beaches, and ocean views.

Several nearby waterfalls, tucked throughout the surrounding countryside make for memorable days of discovery.

➢ Indoor Wood Stove

Our indoor wood stove is the cozy heart of the Chalet, filling the space with warmth—a true treat during your stay!

As the main source of heat, it’s helpful if guests are comfortable using the stove or open to learning (don’t worry—we’ll show you the ropes!).

Plenty of dry wood and kindling will be supplied for your entire stay, so you can relax and enjoy.

➢ Additional Guests

The Chalet is priced for 2 guests, with a maximum capacity of 4 guests. An additional fee of $50.00 per person applies when a 3rd and 4th guest are added to the reservation.

Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if anyone will be joining you lakeside. This helps us ensure the Chalet is properly prepared and stocked for everyone’s comfort and enjoyment - which is extremely important to us!

While visiting Luna Rosa, a few of the perks our guests enjoy:

King-sized bed with views of the lake
Queen bed with forest views
Indoor wood stove for cozy evenings
