Upscale, fine amenities with Art Nouveau furniture and 2 bathrooms
'Eagle's Nest' is located in the III. OG (attic storey) of a landmarked Art Nouveau building from 1910, reachable through a magnificent staircase over 3 1/2 stairs - the construction of larger ceiling heights at that time requires correspondingly longer stairs, so that you, arrived at the top, from today's point of view, have climbed 4 to 5 floors. ( With
Consideration for the staircase as a contemporary document is not included in the elevator). You will be rewarded with an unforgettable view over historic roof landscapes on Lake Constance and the Swiss Alps. As you enjoy the evening by the dormer window, you will witness the sun sink into the lake and then, in the morning, to illuminate the medieval thieves, which you can see through a side window in the immediate vicinity.
discover a barer neighborhood. The house is located on the lakeside west end of the pedestrian zone 'Maximilianstraße' through the old town - you live on the edge and yet right in the middle. It consists of 15 small condominiums (partly as apartments) and a shop on the ground floor, is extensively renovated and with its filigree structured façade, the corner turrets and the dormers between the original roof tiles a real eye-catcher. This outstanding appearance corresponds to the equipment of the 36sqm apartment, divided into living room / bedroom, hallway, outside kitchen (with dormer windows) and 2 (two!) Bathrooms, of which the small outdoor bath again with dormer windows.
The unique facility has three main focuses:
-Authentic Art Nouveau mahogany furniture;
- the indoor pool - a feast for the eyes: Tuscany around you, washbasin, floor and wall
tiles in antique marble of natural stone, the walls with faience inlays
large-format photographs of maritime motifs of the past (et al. Schnelldampfer
Antiques kitchen furniture, on the walls also faience (Königsberger views), limed oak planks in hallway and room with a natural stone 'atrium',
laid as a Great Roman Association, as well as stuccoed ceilings round off the extraordinary impression of the apartment whose solidity on Lindau is certainly second to none.

Lindau - a jewel at the old town in Lake Constance! The island is connected via a railway embankment and a road bridge with the mainland district. The formerly free imperial city, spared from the wars, was largely able to preserve its medieval character and has a wealth of historic sights: Altes Rathaus (15. Century) in the heart of the island; 'Neues' Rathaus next door with 11:45 o'clock daily carillon; City Museum in the 'Haus zum Cavazzen' (1729) - the picturesque building is considered the most beautiful baroque town house on Lake Constance; 40m next to our house, the more than 1000 years old St. Peter's Church (with the only surviving murals Hans Holbein the Elder about 1490), next to it, even from the apartment in the right angle visible, the medieval thieves from 1380. Continue to experience in the 50m close range of the apartment - 'around the corner' - the old town pedestrian area 'Maximilianstr.' with a variety of cafes, restaurants, stalls, shopping - the old trading town has retained its buoyancy to our days. In the 300m radius you will find the landmark Lindau, the world-famous port entrance with the lighthouse (which you can climb) and the Bavarian Lion, both from the middle of the 19th century. Century. Through the two monuments the steamer forces you to take you to the most beautiful places of the Austrian, Swiss, Swabian and Bavarian shores. At the port also ends the railway line in Art Nouveau train station (1913 - '21), in front of the Alte Post, next to the harbor the Römerbad called first Vereinsbad from 1839, behind the sailor harbor. In the 300m area, the boat rental (small lake between the island and the mainland), the island hall (celebrations, congresses) and always excellently located restaurants 'on the edge' with views of the lake and the Alps. The idyllic shore trail leads you to medieval bastions, past over one hundred years of barracks, restored and converted, as well as 'wild' and at the same time romantic bathing spots. A few km in the direction of Bregenz, however, awaits you a large, also very popular bathhouse, adjacent to the ever-lively campsite under old trees.
