High in the mountains above Cairns and nestled deep in Kuranda’s World Heritage tropical rainforest this brand new stylish studio offers the perfect escape from busy life. Make yourself at home, & leave the stress behind. Enjoy a stroll around our private rainforest filled tropical garden. Sit by the outdoor fire under the incredible star filled milky way. Or fill your days with adventure, then unwind in cozy comfort. We look forward to welcoming you to all that tropical North Queensland offers.

Welcome to our Tranquil Rainforest Studio, perfect for your next holiday getaway. Nestled in nature, the studio offers all the comforts you need for a memorable stay.


Whether you're looking to unwind or explore, our studio is the perfect base for your holiday. Book now and start creating unforgettable memories.

Guests will have access to the entire studio, located on the ground floor. The studio features a fully equipped kitchenette, dining, lounge, laundry facilities, BBQ, undercover car park, and outdoor seating. Guests can also enjoy our lush surrounding gardens.

I will be available to welcome you, show you around the studio, and share recommendations for places to visit. During your stay, my husband and I will be living upstairs and on hand for anything you may need

Kuranda Village is an easy 35 minute walk from the house or five minutes drive. Kuranda is known as 'the village in the rainforest' and is very picturesque. It has interesting and unique markets, restaurants, cafes, galleries and is a great place to loose yourself exploring.

As we are situated 30 minutes from the airport, we would recommend that you have your own car. If not, there is a local bus that goes past our house which will take you to Cairns, Kuranda and the Atherton tablelands. The village of Kuranda is only a 3 minute drive away or a nice 35 minute walk. On request we can offer pickups and drop offs. Certainly to see the incredible sites that this whole area has to offer, a car is the best way to go.

Whilst the studio is nestled in the Rainforest of Kuranda, it is still close enough to transport, the Village, Cairns City, the Great Barrier Reef and the Tablelands, making it a very desirable location. The entire area of Tropical North Queensland is a very special place with many amazing attractions to enjoy. I am happy to share all this area has to offer with you.

We loved this property, it was tucked away far enough off the main road, surrounded by rainforest, I loved waking up listening to the birds. Our host was amazing and went out of there way for us.It felt like home

Hello and welcome!

My husband Dave and I live in Kuranda—often called “the village in the rainforest”—near Cairns in beautiful Tropical North Queensland. We’re delighted to share our warm and comfortable family home with fellow travellers exploring this unique part of Australia.

Travel has always been a passion of ours, and we genuinely enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life—whether we’re visiting new places or welcoming guests into our home.

I am a Craniosacral Practitioner and Massage Therapist and would be happy to offer treatments during your stay for those seeking a little extra relaxation. Dave is a musician, bringing a creative and soulful touch to our home.

We have two adult children, and as a family we’ve travelled extensively through Europe, the United Kingdom, Morocco, and Iceland—often staying in wonderful homeshares, which inspired us to become hosts ourselves.

We’re truly excited to open our home and look forward to welcoming you as you experience the beauty of Kuranda and the surrounding region.

Kuranda itself is a creative, welcoming community, known for artisan markets and a strong connection to nature. What we love most is the balance between comfort, privacy, and adventure. From rainforest walks and waterfalls to reef trips and cultural experiences, everything is within reach, yet returning home always feels like a sanctuary.

For us, Kuranda is more than home—it’s a lifestyle centered on nature, wellbeing, and quiet luxury. We’re grateful to live here and excited to share this special place with our guests.
