About this property

We rent our romantic thatched roof house 'Kleine Auster', which is located on a large plot (2,700 sqm) in Rehm-Flehde-Bargen (district: Rehm). The house offers a place for quiet and relaxing hours at any time of the year and has a small kitchen with built-in kitchen (ceramic hob) and dishwasher, a bathroom with shower, a bedroom and a dining and living room with satellite TV. A spiral staircase leads from the living room to the upper floor, where there is another bedroom. The kitchen, bathroom and entrance area are tiled and have underfloor heating. Dining and living room as well as the bedroom upstairs have a wooden floor, the bedroom on the ground floor has a laminate floor, the rooms all have radiators. In the stylish living room there is a fireplace for romantic hours. From the living room you can access the large garden, ideal for relaxing.

Shops can be found in Lunden (approx. 3 km), Weddingstedt (approx. 5 km) or Heide (approx. 14 km).

Despite the quiet location, there is a lot to do, as there are many beautiful towns or attractions nearby and you can easily reach them with a few minutes by car.

Nice nearby excursion destinations are: Friedrichsstadt, Töning (13 km each), Büsum (30km), St.-Peter-Ording (37km), heath, known for its large market place (4 ha), where many festivals take place and Husum (32km).
Hamburg (120km), Kiel (88km) and Flensburg (77km) can be visited in a good hour's drive for a day trip. The islands of Sylt, Föhr, Amrum and Helgoland are also ideal for a day trip.

Zwei tolle Wochen für vier Zwei- und zwei Vierbeiner

Die "Kleine Auster" an der alten B5 (Nr. 57) in Rehm-Flehde-Bargen ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Tagestrips nach Büsum, Husum, Friedrichstadt, St.-Peter-Ording, Hamburg, Heide, Tönning, Friedrichskoog, Nordstrand, St. Michaelisdonn, Wesselburen usw. Für zwei Autos ist direkt am Haus Platz – sie parken allerdings hintereinander. Unsere Reisegruppe in Spezialkonstellation: Sechsjähriges Mädchen mit Mama, Papa und Oma, dazu zwei Hunde. Dafür war das Haus ausreichend dimensioniert – mit Abstrichen bei der Privatsphäre. Das Schlafzimmer und das Bett darin im Erdgeschoss sind recht klein, die Galerie mit Doppelbett dafür allerdings großzügig. Mankos sind die sehr steile Raumspar-Wendeltreppe nach oben – und dass man das Wohnzimmer von der Galerie nicht akustisch trennen kann. Der Fernseher z. B. schallt dann nach oben. Die Ausstattung ist sehr tauglich und nah an vollständig – man findet fast alles hinter irgendeiner Tür oder in einer Schublade. Der Router (Vodafone mobile to WLAN) gab recht früh in unserem Urlaub den Dienst auf – Datenvolumen ausgereizt. Dieses Problem sollte sich aber bald gelöst haben – vor dem Haus liegt ein installierbereites Glasfaserkabel. Der nächste REWE (Mo bis Sa 7-21 Uhr) und der nächste Bäcker sind im nahen Lunden zu finden – Fahrradentfernung, wenn man mag. Ein Hornissennest im Dach sorgte manchmal für Nervenkitzel, blieb aber objektiv unproblematisch. Hornissen bleiben nicht über Winter, also dürfte 2023 Ruhe im Flugbetrieb herrschen. Der schöne, große Garten bietet rund ums Haus viele Sitzgelegenheiten, ist aber nicht vollständig hundesicher umzäunt. Für vollständig abrufbare Tiere wohl kein Problem, unseren Jungspund mit Interesse am Wildkaninchen haben wir nur mit Leine rausgelassen.

Gemütlich

Tolles typisch friesisches Häuschen, warm und gemütlich, idyllisch und toll, vor allem komplett ausgestattet. Am ersten Tag entdeckt man nicht alles, das kommt mit der Zeit (wer Utensilien sucht, findet sie auch irgendwann), seit 2012 hat sich einiges brauchbares angesammelt. Der Garten ist riesig. Der Kontakt wie er sein muss, dass man gerne wieder kommen würde. Wir nutzten dieses Haus als Ausgangspunkt für Touren nach Tönning, Sankt Peter-Ording, Friedrichstadt, Busum, Husum und Sylt (alles prima erreichbar). Doch wer relaxen will, wird hier in der „Kleinen Auster“ sein Glück finden, er sollte nur nicht pingelig sein, wenn er Staub und Spinnen nicht mag. Wir empfehlen das Rietdachhaus ohne Abstriche (naja fast ohne Abstriche…)

Schön, aber Luft nach oben

Das Haus ist wunderschön, aber könnte sauberer sein. Auch die Übergabe bei Abfahrt um 9 Uhr (entgegen der Angaben bei FeWo) ist reichlich stressig. Und der Empfang könnte freundlicher sein. Aber die Gegend bietet viele Möglichkeiten und es ist schön, nach Besichtigungstouren in dieses gemütliche und warme Domizil zurückzukehren.
