Welcome to the holiday home on the Werra
With us you will find relaxation on the Werra in a quiet location on the outskirts of Lauchröden.
If you book the holiday home with 2 people, you rent the holiday home in the attic.
Our holiday home is located very close to the banks of Thuringia's second largest river, the Werra. It offers a very nice view over the Werra valley.
Here you can hike, bike, fish (fishing cards are available from us), take a trip to Eisenach, see the castle ruin 'Brandenburg' or simply relax.
Here are some destinations:
- Canoe and raft trips, a rental service is on site
- 6 km away in Gerstungen there is an outdoor swimming pool
- 5 km from the start of the Rennsteig (Hörschel)
- 12 km away is the city of Eisenach, with Wartburg, Bach
   and Lutherhaus, the Dragon Gorge, where you can walk through narrow
   Rocks can hike, the Reutervilla, City Palace Museum,
   Churches, fraternity monument, historical architecture,
   Theater, cinema. Located directly on the Werra Valley Cycle Path
- 22 km in Ruhla there is a 850 m long one
   Summer toboggan run, the miniature park 'mini-a-thür',
   the Tobacco Pipe Museum, Watch Museum and the
   Stalactite cave / OT Kittelsthal
- Trusethal waterfall
- Tree top path in the Hainich Nature Park
- Merkers / Rhön adventure mine invites you to one
   Visit of the disused potash mine underground by
   TRUCK.

For children :
-Märchenhöhle to Walldorf / Rhön, in the dwarf park, the
  Tabarz water park, horseback riding on the Clausberg.
- Donkey ride to the Wartburg.

Wandern und Kultur

Ein sehr schön gelegenes Ferienhaus mit großem Garten in ruhiger Dorfrandlage mit tollem Weitblick über die Werraauen, auf denen Rehe, Greifvögel und viele andere Vogelarten zu beobachten sind. Direkt vom Haus aus haben wir viele Wanderungen unternommen, wie den Werra-Grenzweg, die Burgruine Brandenburg, sowie durch die Allee der Werraauen zum Bäcker in Herleshausen. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, einschließlich Grillkohle. Wir haben uns mit unseren beiden erwachsenen Söhnen sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Haus nur empfehlen.

Sehr empfehlenswertes Ferienhaus

Ein sehr schönes Ferienhaus. Unkomplizierte Schlüsselübergabe bei An- und Abreise. Ausstattung und Lage waren für unseren Wander- und Erlebnisurlaub in der Umgebung bis u. a. einschließlich Eisenach grundsätzlich hervorragend. 2 Hinweise sind aber möglicherweise hilfreich: Es gibt am Samstag und Sonntag keine Busverbindungen direkt von/nach Lauchröden. Bus- und/oder Bahnverbindungen gibt es an diesen Tagen von/nach Herleshausen Bahnhof. Dieser ist von Lauchröden zu Fuß ca. 20-30 Minuten entfernt und lässt sich über einen sehr schönen Weg (bei Dunkelheit möglichst mit Taschenlampe gehen, da es keine Laternen gibt) erreichen. Möchte man an einem Montag und/oder Dienstag in Lauchröden und/oder Herleshausen in einem Restaurant essen gehen, ist das (zumindest momentan) leider nicht möglich. Von Mittwoch bis Sonntag ist aber das Gasthaus zur alten Schule in Lauchröden absolut empfehlenswert. Dort waren wir an 3 Abenden und es gab jeweils super leckeres Essen und tolle Getränke zu einem fairen Preis in einem gemütlichen Gastraum (Veranda/Biergarten sind aber auch vorhanden) von sehr freundlichem und nettem Betreiberpaar. Besonderheit: Die Angebote des Tages müssen vorher telefonisch erfragt werden oder man lässt sich einfach überraschen.

Nah an der Natur

Das Ferienhaus ist mit insgesamt drei Bädern ausgestattet, was für eine Familie sehr praktisch ist. :-) Vom Balkon aus hat man einen herrlichen Ausblick in die Natur und kann den Sonnenuntergang genießen. Gefallen hat uns auch das Rauschen der Werra hinterm Haus.

Ferienhaus Werra

Ferienhaus ok, wie beschrieben. Es ist aber nur für kurze Aufenthalte zu empfehlen, da der Ess- und Küchenbereich sehr klein ist. Leider kein Radio vorhanden, daher musste immer der Fernseher laufen. Keine gemütliche Sitzgelegenheit für 4 Personen gleichzeitig.

Urlaub mit Freunden

Sehr schön, sauber und ruhige Lage. Für uns (2 Paare) ideale Größe. Bei schlechtem Wetter ist die kleine Wohnung (unten) allerdings ein bisschen eng, weil schlafen, essen und kochen alles in einem Raum stattfinden. Oben großzügiger Küchen-Wohnraum getrennt vom Schlafzimmer sehr angenehm.

Schöne Unterkunft

Tolles Haus in toller Lage. Freundliche und diskrete Vermieter. Leider ist es im Schlafzimmer sehr hell morgens. Nicht ideal für Langschläfer :) ansonsten tip top (haben im Dachgeschoss gewohnt) und gut ausgestattet! Tolle Aussicht!
