Great view of the water and the owner was available from the time of our initial interest in the property until we checked out! If you want a great water view and close to the city, this is it.

I cannot say enough about this property - we loved every minute!! From the deck and the amazing wrap around windows facing Elliot Bay we were able to watch Harbor seals, sea otters, Bald eagles, as well as the Seattle ferries, cruise ships, and numerous other vessels. We spent our evenings down on the beach around the fire pit enjoying the quiet scenery. In this location its hard to believe you are only 5 miles from downtown Seattle, and a easy 10 minute walk to Magnolia Village. We have stayed in Seattle many times and I can say without hesitation we will rent this property again. The owner is making many upgrades, and the interior had been repainted just prior to our arrival. Its my understanding that the furniture in the living area is being replaced very soon, as well as updates in the kithen. We were a party of 9, 3 couples and 3 children, in Seattle celebrating our daughter's college graduation. We cooked a large family meal and the kitchen had everything we needed. Bill is a great resource for the local "scene" and gave us some awesome recommendations on some local eateries. We had one parking space assigned, and the other two cars in our party were able to park within 150 yards of the house on a quiet street. We were able to walk down the beach during low tide and ran into very few people. It was the perfect house for our family celebration - thank you for a memorable stay! We will be back!!

Positives;

The location is great. Close to downtown, shopping nearby, nice area. The view is amazing. Can see the city, Mt Rainier, and the Puget sound.

But the negatives outweighed the cost of the house;

- Parking is annoying

- Downstairs damp, musty smell, and some mold present. All of us who stayed downstairs got sick.

- Living room furniture is in bad shape. The entire house is in desperate need of an upgrade. Kitchen is old and outdated. The owner really needs to spend some money if they are going to ask for such a high price per night.

Charming rustic cottage with all the amenities right of the water. Amazing views of Elliot Bay with ship traffic, Mt Ranier, Bainbridge Island, Olympic Peninsula, and a portion of Downtown Seattle minus the Space Needle. Access to rocky shoreline when tide is out. Upper deck and lower concrete patio with ample room for all right on the water. View of the water from all rooms. Floral bouquet greeted us. Fully furnished residence, clean linens and towels. William, our host, was gracious, friendly, helpful, and responsive via phone, text, and e-mail. Visitors need only bring food and beverages. The lower level of the home is clean yet musty, (perhaps to be expected for the location). Small parking spot for one vehicle, we had a minivan and had people exit before parking. Solid steps leading down to residence which were lit at night, about twenty-five steps total (one person in our party is over seventy and carefully managed the stairs just fine). Fifteen minute drive to Downtown Seattle, less that five to Magnolia.

All were happy with our stay. We would not hesitate to book the residence again.

This place is a hidden gem. We absolutely loved it and hope to rent it again sometime. It's close to the city but provides a feeling of being remote. The views are incredible and the sound of the ocean at night is so peaceful!
